IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE USES.
When using an electrical appliance, always follow the following basic safety precautions:

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  2.  Children shall not play with the appliance.
  3.  Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
  4.  Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  5.  The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  6.  The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
  7.  Surfaces are likely to become hot during use.
  8.  The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.
  9.  If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  10. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the electrical cord and plugs in water or any other liquid. The appliance must not be immersed.
  11. The appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
  12. Cooking appliances should be placed in a stable position with the handles (if any) positioned to avoid spillage of hot liquids.
  13. WARNING: Misuse can lead to injury.
  14. Regarding detailed information on how to clean surfaces that come into contact with food or oil, refer to the “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” section.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  • Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply, please check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the main voltage in your home.
  • Do not place the appliance on a hot surface.
  • Place the appliance on a stable flat surface.
  • Do not operate the appliance if damaged, after an appliance malfunctions or it has been damaged in any manner, return to the customer service department for repair.
  •  Do not allow the main cord to come into contact with the hot surface.
  • Ensure that the mains lead does not overhang the worktop surface.
  •  Use the appliance out of children reach. Prevent them from pulling the main cord or knocking the appliance over.
  • Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is near children.
  • Make sure that the power switch is off before plug in.
  • Care must be taken not to touch any hot surfaces, do not store or cover the appliance until it has fully cooled down.
  • Before cleaning the appliance disconnect it from the power supply and wait until it was cooled down.
  • Never immerse the appliance or power cord into water or any other liquid. Do not allow liquid to penetrate the electrical parts of the appliance.
  • CAUTION: The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
  • Never use accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer. They can be dangerous for the user and may damage the device.
  • Never move the unit by pulling the power cord.
  • Unplug the unit when it is not in use.
  • The 6 pans must all be in place during normal use of the appliance.
  • DO NOT USE this appliance near water or flammable liquids.
  • DO NOT USE this appliance on or near from a hot surface (Hotplate, electric stove, etc.).
  • Do NOT clean the device if it is still hot.

BEFORE FIRST USE
  1.  Remove all packaging elements.
  2.  Clean the grill plate and pans before using the appliance for the first time (See Cleaning and Maintenance).
  3.  Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
  4.  Check that the switch is in the “Off” position before plugging in the device.

Remarks

  • Ensure that the device is placed on a stable and secure surface in order to eliminate any risk of tripping or to avoid contact of the device with water.
  • Make sure to connect the device to a domestic electrical outlet with ground outlet.
  • Never try to touch the hot surface of the grill, pans or heat source before they cool down.

USE OF THE APPLIANCE

  1.  Place the base on a clean flat and heat-resistant surface.
  2.  Connect the device to a power source.
  3.  Apply a little cooking oil on the grill plate.
  4.  Place the grill plate on the base.
  5.  Switch on the appliance.
    • When you switch on the appliance for the first time, the heating element can emit smoke and a slight smell. This phenomenon is normal.
  6.  Place the food you want to cook on the grill plate.
    • Cut the food such as meat or sausages into small pieces or slices.
  7. Cook the food.
    • During cooking, turn the food over occasionally to ensure that both sides are evenly cooked.
  8.  Once the cooking is complete, remove the food from the grill plate and place it on a plate.
  9.  You can also fill the pans with pieces of cheese, meat, fish or vegetables and put them onto the bottom plate when cooking.
  10.  Remove the pans from the appliance once the food is done, or the cheese has melted.
  11.  Once the cooking is complete, turn off and unplug the device from the mains outlet.
  12.  Wait for the device to cool completely before moving or cleaning it.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1.  Check that the device is properly unplugged and wait until it has completely cooled down. Then clean it with a soft cloth soaked in soapy water. DO NOT TRY TO CLEAN THE DEVICE WHILE IT IS STILL HOT.
  2.  DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE hard brushes, metal sponge, abrasive utensils and/or alcohol, oil or organic cleaner to clean this device.
  3.  Only pans, grill plate and spatulas can be washed with soapy water with a soft cloth. The rest of the device should in no case be immersed in water to be cleaned. Let all parts and surfaces dry completely before plugging in and using again.
  4.  Do not let pans soak in water for a long time.
  5.  The resistor does not clean. If it is really dirty, wait until it is cooled and rub it with a dry cloth.
