Please read this User’s Guide thoroughly prior to using the helmet and keep it
for further reference.
SAFETY INFORMATION
- The crash helmet you have purchased ensures efficient protection while using a bicycle, a skateboard or rollerblades; yet, it has been designed for recreational sport activities only. Please read this User’s Guide in order to be able to use the helmet properly.
- The crash helmet is not professional equipment and thus should not be used for any acrobatics or extreme stunts. This product is not a professional crash helmet.
- The helmet does not ensure sufficient protection for users practicing sport professionally or recreationally and does not guarantee protection against 1nJunes.
- The product should be used along with other protective equipment, such as pads.
- Do not modify or remove original elements of the crash helmet. If any of the helmet elements need to be replaced, it must be done in line with the directions provided for in the User’s Guide. Otherwise, helmet’s protective qualities will be impaired.
- THE CRASH HELMET SHOULD NOT BE USED BY CHILDREN WHEN CLIMBING OR UNDERTAKING OTHER ACTIONS, WHICH ENTAIL THE RISK OF HANGING IN THE EVENT A CHILD IS UNABLE TO RELEASE HIMSELF/HERSELF.
- THE HELMET DOES NOT GUARANTEE PROTECTION FROM INJURIES.
- DO NOT USE THE HELMET WHEN SKIING, RIDING A MOTOR SCOOTER OR ENGAGING ANY SPORTS BUT CYCLING.
PROTECTION AND VENTILATION
The external cover is lightweight, while ensuring durability and a proper fit.
A large number of openings with Internal air chambers ensures air permeability
through the helmet and over the forehead, and, by the same token, ensures
optimum cooling. The crash helmet is to absorb the energy generated by impacts
and shocks.
THE PROPER FIT
The helmet ensures protection only when it fits properly. Each user should try
on various sizes and choose the one, which feels the safest and the most
comfortable. While fitting the helmet make sure the straps are not on your
ears and the buckles are at a proper distance from your lower jaw bones. Put
the helmet on your head in such a manner to ensure the intended protection. It
should protect the forehead and thus the helmet must not be tilted to cover
the back of one’s head. A properly fitted helmet should not allow any movement
to the sides, the front or to the back when bicycling. In the event the helmet
does not fit one’s head properly, it must be adjusted by adding or removing
foam pads. There is a knob at the back of the helmet for additional adjustment
to one’s head circumference.
BUCKLING
The helmet features a buckle, which ensures easy buckling and unbuckling
without loosening the straps. Make sure the straps are tight and adjusted in
order to ensure maximum comfort when bicycling. Once buckled, the helmet
should be a close fit. Check if any of the straps is loose and tighten it, if
necessary. In order to tighten the front strap (the one which goes under the
chin), hold the buckle with one hand and pull the protruding part of the strap
with the other one. Pull the protruding part of the back strap in order to
tighten it. Hold the helmet with one hand and adjust the straps which go
around the chin with the other one. Subsequently pull back and forward until
properly adjusted.
The helmet must be a close fit. Tighten the strap under the chin and loosen
the back strap in order to lower the front part of the helmet to ensure
forehead protection. Loosen the strap under the chin and tighten the back
strap to lift the front part of the helmet. When the helmet is properly
adjusted, the strap should squeeze the chin when one opens his mouth. Try to
move the helmet back and forward. In the event the helmet moves, you need to
adjust the tension of the straps and possibly change the adjustment pads. A
properly adjusted helmet should not move on one’s head.
NOTE: check if the helmet is properly adjusted prior to each use.
FINAL INSPECTION
The crash helmet should fit in such a manner, to make the user feel
comfortably. In the event the helmet moves on one’s head, the tension of the
straps must be readjusted. The straps should not cover one’s ears and the
buckles should be at a proper distance from the lower jaw. Make sure you
choose the right size.
The helmet should be comfortable and fit snugly in order to ensure optimum
protection.
Check all the settings prior to each use.
MAINTENANCE
Wash the external surface of the helmet with mild soap and water. Using
solvents and other chemical agents may damage the helmet and impair its
protective qualities. Do not use any maintenance agents; the helmet requires
no disinfection.
AVOIDING EXTREME TEMPERATURES
Dark colour of your bicycle or a backpack you take along when bicycling on a
hot day may attract sunlight and thus cause extreme temperatures. High
temperatures may affect the shape of you helmet and cause bulges. A deformed
helmet does not ensure proper protection and must be replaced with a new one
immediately.
TRANSPORT
Transport your helmet in such a manner to protect It against damage and
extreme temperatures.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The helmet has been designed to absorb shocks caused by Impacts, which may
cause partial or total damage to the helmet. Even if there are no visible
dents, the helmet must be replaced with a new one after an impact.
Any changes, modifications or removing original helmet elements may result in
a loss of the helmet’s protective qualities; therefore, any modifications and
removal of original elements of the helmet must be carried out in line with
the directions provided for in the user’s guide.
Unfortunately, some accidents result in head injuries, which cannot be
prevented by any crash helmet. Depending on the type of collision, even at low
speeds, one can sustain serious injuries and dangerous accidents may take
place. Therefore, ride with due caution and read this manual before using the
helmet.
PROTECTION LEVEL 2
WARNING
The helmet has been designed and is intended exclusively for use when
skateboarding, rollerblading or bicycling. It does not ensure proper
protection in the case of motorsports or skiing. No helmet protects you from
unexpected accidents. Nevertheless, in order to ensure proper protection, the
helmet must fit snugly and all the fastening straps must be tight.
OPERATION LIFE: 3 years
In the case of any dents, scratches, cracks or other damage, e.g. of the
straps, or any collision, one should replace the helmet with a new one, even
if the operation life has not expired.
