IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP IT FOR FUTURE USE.
When using an electrical appliance, always follow the following basic safety precautions:
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- The connector (thermostat) must be removed before the appliance is cleaned.
- The appliance inlet must be dried before the appliance is used again.
- Only the appropriate provided connector must be used.
- Accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- Surfaces are liable to get hot during use.
- The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the electrical parts and plug in water or other liquids.
- The appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
- Use the appliance according to this instruction, any misuse may cause electric shock or other hazards.
- Details for cleaning surfaces in contact with food can be found in the following paragraphs.
- HOT SURFACE.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Before connecting the appliance to the main supply, please check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the main voltage in your home.
- Do not place the appliance on a hot surface.
- Place the appliance on a stable flat surface.
- Do not operate the appliance if damaged, after the appliance malfunctions or it has been damaged in any manner, return to the customer service department for repair.
- Do not allow the main cord to come into contact with the hot surface.
- Ensure that the mains lead does not overhang the worktop surface.
- Use the appliance out of children’s reach. Prevent them from pulling the main cord or knocking the appliance over.
- Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is near children.
- Make sure that the power switch is off before plugging it in.
- Care must be taken not to touch any hot surfaces, and do not store or cover the appliance until it has fully cooled down.
- Before cleaning the appliance disconnect it from the power supply and wait until it was cooled down.
- Never immerse the appliance or power cord in water or any other liquid. Do not allow liquid to penetrate the electrical parts of the appliance.
- CAUTION: The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.

BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove all packaging elements.
- Clean the grill plate and pans before using the appliance for the first time (See Cleaning and Maintenance).
- Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
- Check that the switch is in the “Off” position before plugging in the device.
Remarks:
- Ensure that the device is placed on a stable and secure surface in order to eliminate any risk of tripping or to avoid contact with the device with water.
- Make sure to connect the device to a domestic electrical outlet with a ground outlet.
- Never try to touch the hot surface of the grill, pans, or heat source before they cool down.
USING THE APPLIANCE
- Remove all protective materials.
- Wipe the plates with a damp cloth or sponge to remove dust. Wipe the dust with a soft cloth or paper towel.
- Select a suitable location to install the device, ensuring enough free space with the wall to allow heat to dissipate without damaging closets or walls.
- Make sure the thermostat is set to the “OFF” position. Insert it into the plancha so that the two pins in the socket are fully inserted.
- Turn the thermostat knob clockwise. The red light comes on. When the temperature of the plates reaches the desired temperature, the light goes out. If the temperature wheel is in the “OFF” position, the plate will no longer heat up. Before the first use, it is recommended to apply a little oil or grease on the plate.
- Important: The baking plate will become very hot. Be careful not to touch the baking plate with your hands by accident.
- After use, unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and let it cool to room temperature before cleaning.
- Warning: Do not immerse the device in a liquid. It is forbidden to immerse the device and the thermostat in the water!
- During cooking, the light may be on indicating that the appliance is heating up to maintain the desired temperature.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- After use, position the thermostat to the “OFF” position, unplug the power cord from the wall socket, and remove the connector from the plancha. NOTE: When removing the plug from the wall socket, be sure to grab the entire plug and do not pull the cord.
- Clean the plancha plate when it is warm with a soft, moist cloth or paper towel, or a soft sponge.
- For dirt residue, once the plancha has cooled, clean the plate with a soft sponge, and moistened it with a non-abrasive kitchen cleaner, and hot water.
- Once the cleaning is complete, dry it with a soft cloth. Clean the plancha after each use.
- To clean the connector (thermostat), use a soft, moist paper cloth or towel. Never immerse the connector in water or any other liquid.
- The plancha is covered with a non-stick surface, so be careful when handling it.
- DO NOT use sharp metal utensils or knives to cut food on the surface of the plancha.
- DO NOT place the connector on the surface of the plancha at the risk of scratching or damaging it.
- DO NOT use a cleaning product, nylon, or metal brush on the plancha’s lining at the risk of scratching or damaging it.
- When moving the plancha, always hold it by the handles.
- DO NOT wash the plancha when the connector (thermostat) is connected.
