The IC shown above can in contaced circuits via test-clip are. Not all ICs have the hole and yet at the same time the beveled side; at least one marking is, however, always present. The pin directly on top the hole, pin 1; just as in the flattened side (located from above it always looked to the left) is the pin 1 is always at the top left. On the side of pin 1 marked in the test-clip wire to be set.
On the bottom of the housing is located a point at which one, the activity of the device can visually represented by LEDs, perceive.
Where is:
– flashing green (device ok, not connected with SmartTerm)
– bright green (device ok, with SmartTerm connected)
– bright red/flashing red (unit communicates with EEPROM (R/W)

Product description

The mXion E²PromMatix is a universal EEPROM read/write module. There support E²PromMatix all 24C-EEPROMs.
About Intel®-Hex-Format or mXion-Format the chips can be read or written be (of whole chip). Simple read/write is also possible. In addition to the IC socket for DIL EEPROM hast he electronics a test clip connection to work with EEPROMs in hardwired circuits (SMD area). The working voltage can either 3.3V or 5V respectively.
The module supplied exclusively through USB, there are no other components or transformers needed. Can SmartTerm all settings are made. The module itself is updatable.
With this module, you can easily read EEPROMs, make changes or require such.
