Installation

Ensure mains supply is switched off before commencing work.

Select suitable location for luminaire.

Safety note! The power supply cord must not be exposed to mechanical damage.

Disassemble the fitting base from the fitting (as per fig. 2 & 3).

Mark appropriate fixing hole positions on wall, check location of buried cables, pipes and other building services before drilling.

Drill holes in the wall and insert the wall plugs. Feed supply cables through the cable entry hole and attach base to wall (as per fig.4).

Feed supply cables through cable entry hole and attach base to brackets (as per fig. 5). Use gland to ensure IP65 rating.

Write installation date on battery and connect battery.

Connect wires from un-switched supply to terminals: Brown/Live to PL, Blue/ Neutral to N and Green/ Yellow to earth. For fitting always on, link terminal “SL” to terminal “PL”. When controlled by switch connect switched live wire to terminal SL and permanent live to PL. Note: if “SL” terminal not connected, fitting works as non-maintained.

Move switch on metal tray to select colour temperature: 3000K, 4000K or 6500K. And then choose the wattage on the driver via DIP switch: 18W,
26W, 32W, 39W.
WARNING: DO NOT CHANGE SETTING WHEN THE FITTING IS ON! -
Refit the front diffuser to the base and screw it firmly using one screw.

Press down the tabs to the reset position on the ends of fitting and ensure that it fits securely.
Self-Test
This is a maintained/non-maintained emergency fitting, when mains power is
connected, the green charging LED should come on and indicating the
battery is working. When mains power is cut, the fitting will go into
emergency mode and the emergency LED’s will light up. Testing and inspection
must
be in accordance with local codes of practice.

Green LED indicator comes on: Normal charging mode.

1-Month Self-Test: Test duration 10s.

6-month Self-Test: Test duration 90 minutes.
LED Indicators -
Red LED flashes (unit will beep every 45s): Battery fault or battery failure AND emergency LED failure.

Yellow LED flashes, (unit will beep every 45s): Emergency LED failure.

Clear memory and re-set test schedule: Disconnect supply to Live terminal, fitting will go into emergency mode. Press in and hold the test button for more than10s and then release, the emergency LED will then go out. New schedule will start when supply to fitting is connected.
After installation, the battery will charge for 24 hours. The self-test function will perform a 90-minutes test within the next 24 hours. After the initial test, the fitting will enter 1-Month Test and 6-Month Test schedules.
- Daily check that charge indicator LED is working.
- Monthly check: The status of LED indicator and emergency battery discharge.
- 6-Month and one-year check: The self-test operation is working, that the LED indicators the Emergency LEDs come on and last for a minimum 90min.
- Complete record sheet on installation and retain in maintenance file.
- Update file with ongoing test records for inspection by fire officer or other duly authorised person.
Manual Test
Interrupt supply by pressing the test switch, the fitting will then operate in emergency mode for a short period of time.
Note:
- The mounting height should be 2.5m to 7.5m. Only to be installed outside arm’s reach.
- This luminaire has no user serviceable parts. If damaged, disconnect from mains and discontinue use.
- The replaceable of battery or of the whole luminaire is needed when they no longer meet their rated duration of operation after the corresponding recharge period.
