ELECTRICAL SAFETY

  1. Grounded products must be plugged into an outlet properly installed and grounded in accordance with all codes and ordinances. Never remove the grounding prong or modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs. Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded. If a grounded product should electrically malfunction or break down, grounding provides a low resistance path to carry electricity away from the user.
  2. WARNING:  TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY: People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before using this product. Operation of electrical equipment in close proximity to a heart pacemaker could cause interference or failure of the pacemaker.

Note: Performance of this product (if powered by line voltage) may vary depending on variations in local line voltage. Extension cord usage may also affect tool performance.

The Digital Lamp and Appliance Timer has a 3 Prong Plug

Grounding

The plug must be connected to a properly grounded outlet. If the Digital Timer should electrically malfunction or break down, grounding provides a low resistance path to carry electricity away from the user, reducing the risk of electric shock.

Warning: Do not exceed the maximum Amperage of 15. Exceeding the maximum amperage of 15 Amps may result in excessive heat and fire of the Digital Timer.

Button/Coin Battery Safety

WARNING

  • INGESTION HAZARD: This product contains a button cell or coin battery.
  • DEATH or serious injury can occur if ingested.
  • A swallowed button cell or coin battery can cause Internal Chemical Burns in as little as 2 hours.
  • KEEP new and used batteries OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
  • Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.

This symbol means: INGESTION HAZARD: This product contains a button cell or coin battery.

  1. Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate.
  2. Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death.
  3. Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
  4. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  5. Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above 113°F or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.

Operation

Note

  • Before using the Digital Timer, plug it in for 15 minutes to allow the internal battery to charge. After recharging, press the Reset Button to show display.
  • The Digital Timer uses a 24 hour day (A.M. hours are 1 to 12, P.M. hours are 13 to 24, midnight is 0) Example: 2 P.M. = 14.

Setting Actual Time

  1. To set the Hour: Press and hold CLOCK and HOUR buttons down at the same time. The Digital Timer will circulate through each hour. Release buttons once correct hour is selected.
  2. To set the Minutes: Press and hold CLOCK and MIN buttons down at the same time. Release buttons once correct minute is selected.
  3. To set the Day of the Week: Press and hold CLOCK and WEEK buttons down at the same time. The display will scroll through each day of the week. Release buttonsonce correct weekday is displayed.

Setting the Timer

Note: Timer applies to both outlets.

  1. Insert the plug of the lamp or appliance into either of the outlets on the sides of the Timer.
  2. To set the time for Digital Timer to turn “ON”: Press PROGRAM. The Timer will display “1 ON.” Press HOUR, MIN and WEEK to set the hour, minute and day of the week that you want the Digital Timer to activate.
  3. To set the time for Digital Timer to turn “OFF”: Press PROGRAM again. “1 OFF” will be displayed. Press HOUR, MIN and WEEK to set the hour, minute and day of the week that you want the Digital Timer to turn off.
    • Note: Timer can accommodate multiple events. Press PROGRAM to cycle through from 1 ON to 8 OFF.
  4. To undo a setting, or go back to a previous setting: Press “R” which will cancel the current set time. Pressing “R” again will bring you back to the previous setting on the Digital Timer.
  5. Press CLOCK at any point to return to the main clock screen.

Mode Selection

  1. The Display will indicate if you are in the On, Auto, or Off stage of the program.
  2. Press the ON-AUTO-OFF Button to cycle through the modes.
  3. The ON setting will supply power to the side outlets. Timer schedule will not operate in this mode.
  4. The AUTO setting will set the Timer to turn ON and OFF at selected intervals.
  5. The OFF setting will turn the Timer schedule off. Power will not be supplied to the side outlets in this mode.

To Set Varied On and Off Times

  • The Timer can be set to change ON and OFF times within a range of 2 minutes to 32 minutes of set time.
  • Press WEEK button and HOUR button down at the same time. The Display will show ‘O’ on right of screen.

Recharging

  • After plugging in the Timer to recharge, the display will not reappear. Press Reset Button to show display.

Battery Removal

  1. Make sure Timer is OFF and discharged.
  2. Remove Screws on back of Timer. Remove Top and Bottom Covers.
  3. Remove Screws on front of Timer. Remove Front Housing.
  4. To remove battery, remove entire circuit board from Housing. Cut wires holding circuit board in.
  5. Dispose of circuit board and battery at an electronics recycling facility.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Causes Likely Solutions
Timer does not turn on or off at desired time. 1.   Incorrect 24 hour

3.   Timer is not in AUTO Mode.

4.   Programmed on and off times are not in corresponding events.

4.    Verify that the scheduled on and off times have matching numbers (e.g., 1 ON and 1 OFF).
