Setup
Mounting
Before mounting the product, read and follow the safety recommendations
indicated in the Safety Notes.
Orientation
Always mount this product in a safe position, making sure there is adequate
room for ventilation, configuration, and maintenance.
Rigging
Chauvet recommends using the following general guidelines when mounting this
product.
- Before deciding on a location for the product, make sure there is easy access for maintenance.
- Make sure that the structure and attachment points can support the weight before hanging the product and attaching REM video panels to it. See the Technical Specifications for weight information, and download the User Manuals for REM video panels from www.chauvetprofessional.com.
- When rigging the product onto a truss, use mounting hardware of appropriate weight capacity.
Overhead Mounting
- Insert alignment conicals into the alignment holes and allow magnets to connect.
- Insert the rig bar latch locking bars into the receivers on the REM video panel.
- Twist the spring knob on the rig bar latch by 90°, until it locks into place.
- Twist the tightening knob clockwise until REM video panel is secure to the rig bar.
- To detach the rig bar from the REM video panel, reverse the previous steps.
Warning! The magnetic attachments are not load-bearing, and are intended for alignment assistance only. Do not release the video panel until the hanging hardware has been fully secured.
Clamp Attachment Bracket
-
To mount the REM-RB50CM IP Curve overhead with standard Trusst clamps, follow the instructions under Removing the Hoist Ring and replace the hoist ring with the included clamp attachment bracket.
-
For the Chauvet Professional line of mounting clamps, go to http://trusst.com/products/.
-
Removing the Hoist Ring
To remove the hoist ring from the REM-RB50CM IP Curve:-
Remove the safety clip from the hoist pin.
-
Slide the hoist pin out of the hoist assembly.
Take special care of the washers when removing and installing the hoist pin and hoist ring. The fit between the assembly, washers, and ring is very tight. -
To re-install the hoist ring or to install the included Clamp Attachment Bracket, reverse the previous steps.
Warning! Replacing the hoist ring with other hardware may change the load capacity of the product!
-
Stacking
Stack video panels upon the REM-RB50CM IP Curve when using with the Ground
Support 2 Kit from Chauvet.
- Insert alignment conicals into the alignment holes and allow magnets to connect.
- Close the levers of the latches on the REM video panel.
- To detach the rig bar from the REM video panel, reverse the previous steps.
Warning! The magnetic attachments are not load-bearing, and are intended for alignment assistance only. Do not release the video panel until the hanging hardware has been fully secured.
Stacking with Ground Support 2 Kit
For more information on how to use the REM-RB50CM IP Curve with the Ground
Support 2 Kit, download the User Manual for the Ground Support 2 Kit from
www.chauvetprofessional.com.
Curve Receiver
The curve receiver of the REM-RB50CM IP Curve and REM video panels allows a
convex or concave angle between rig bars and video panels without additional
accessories.
To set the angle to -5° (convex), -2.5° (concave), 0° (straight), +5°
(concave), or +10° (concave):
- Pull the locking lever out, unlocking the curve receiver.
- Rotate the curve receiver so the receiver at the desired angle is in the connection position.
- Push the locking lever in, locking the curve receiver in place.
Adjusting the Height
When connected video panels aren’t aligning 100% correctly, adjusting the
height of the REM-RB50CM IP Curve hoist ring even the smallest amount can
correct the issue.
Turn the height adjustment bolt with an adjustable wrench to adjust the height
of the hoist ring.
Inspecting for Faults
Each part of the REM-RB50CM IP Curve should be regularly inspected for faults
such as warping or cracking. A qualified and competent person should inspect
the product for faults before each use to ensure it performs as intended.
- A flat edge such as a precision level can be used to check flat surfaces for warping.
- If a fault occurs in any part, that part should be taken out of use until replaced or repaired by a qualified and competent individual.
