Safety information
Life-threatening hazard!
Beware of offshore wind and currents.
- Never leave children unattended with the packaging materials. There is a risk of suffocation.
- Never allow children to play with the product unsupervised.
Risk of injury!
- Ensure that the weight (people and load) is always evenly distributed in the kayak to avoid the risk of capsizing.
- Pay attention to the maximum permissible carrying capacity, and number of persons as well as the safety warning detailed on the rating plate.
- Always comply with the local maritime navigation rules.
- Do not take any sharp or pointed objects with you.
- The kayak should be protected from contact with potentially unsafe liquids or acids. These could cause irreparable damage.
- Protect the kayak from heat and fire! Be careful with lit cigarettes!
- To avoid damage to the hull, take care to ensure that the kayak does not come ashore on stony ground.
- Do not leave the kayak, under any circumstances, if damage should occur to one of the three internal chambers during use on the water. The buoyancy of the remaining two chambers will be sufficient to keep the kayak afloat.
- Do not, under any circumstances, transport the kayak on a vehicle while it is still inflated.
- Never leave your kayak unoccupied on the water. It will be carried away too fast for a swimmer to be able to reach it.
- Before using the kayak, always make sure that you have the paddles with you, otherwise you will not have sufficient control over the kayak.
- Do not make any technical alterations to your kayak. Modifications of any kind will impair the operability of the sports equipment.
- Never use your kayak under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
- Never overestimate your strength; always pace yourself when paddling so that you can easily retrace the distance you have covered. Stay within shoreline safety zones of up to 300m and pay attention to changing winds and currents that can severely hamper your ability to move forward.
WARNING!
It is extremely important that you exercise caution and self-awareness when on
the water.
Never overestimate your strength and board-handling skills! Always stay close
to the shore! Pay attention to the weather conditions, storm warnings and any
light signals or flares!
WARNING!
Please observe the safety rules and applicable statutory regulations for lakes
and open waters at all times and, for your own safety, always wear a certified
life jacket.
WARNING!
Avoid using sunscreen and skincare products that contain alcohol. Sunscreens
and skincare products that contain alcohol can strip the coloured layer off
this inflatable PVC product. This may stain your body, clothing or other
objects that come into contact with the product.
WARNING!
In the event of a person falling overboard, he or she must always climb back
in over the bow or stern, as there is a high risk of capsizing when climbing
in over the sides.
Preventing damage to the product!
-
All inflatable products are sensitive to cold.
Never unfold and inflate the product at temperatures below 15°C! -
If the air pressure increases in direct sunlight, this must be rectified by releasing the corresponding amount of air.
-
Ensure that the product – particularly when it is inflated – does not come into contact with stones, gravel or sharp objects, and do not allow it to rub or scrape anywhere, as this can cause damage to the PVC.
-
Insert only a suitable pump adapter into the screw-on valves. Otherwise, the screw-on valves could be damaged.
-
Do not over-inflate as this can result in the seams splitting open. Close the screw-on valve securely after inflating.
-
Avoid contact with sharp, hot, pointy or hazardous items.
-
Check the product for damage or wear before each use. Use the product only if it is in perfect condition!
Assembly
Due to its size, the product should always be assembled by two people.
Follow the step-by-step instructions in the order given. If the air chambers
(1f) (Fig. I) are not inflated in the correct order, it can result in unequal
pressure distribution. This can lead to the kayak’s being unstable, thus
compromising its handling characteristics.
Double-bladed paddle
- Insert the two paddle blades (5) into the midsections (6a) and (6b). Both locking buttons must click audibly and visibly into place into the holes (6c) in the respective mid-section.
Note: you have the option of setting the paddle at three different angles by using the three holes in the mid-section (6b). The paddles can also be used individually without the mid-section as single-bladed paddles.
Kayak
- Remove the kayak (1) from the backpack (2).
- Unroll the kayak and spread it out on a flat, clean surface.
- Check that the hook and loop fasteners on the inside are correctly closed. The base chamber must be connected to the outer hull of the kayak using the hook and loop fasteners and the corresponding flap.
- Fit the fins (7) to the underside of the kayak as shown in Fig. C.
Note: the outer curve of the fin must point toward the stern (1a) of the
kayak.
Note: to avoid damage to the removable fin, do not use the product in
shallow waters.
Note: from the second use onwards, you should inspect the product for
damage before use.
Inflating
WARNING!
Inflate the air chambers (1f) in the correct sequence. The correct order is
indicated on the kayak itself as well as in the instructions for use:
No. 1 – 3.
- The recommended operating pressure is 0.1 bar (= 100mbar = 1.5psi).
- Avoid over-inflating the air chambers – otherwise, you risk overstretching the PVC or even splitting the seams.
- Do not use a compressor or compressed air canister to inflate the product. This may damage the product.
- Always fully inflate each air chamber.
- Check the operating pressure before each use!
IMPORTANT!
- Open the screw-on valves only to inflate and deflate. Otherwise, they may become contaminated.
- The area around the screw-on valves must always be clean and dry.
- Ensure that sand or other contaminants do not get into the screw-on valves.
Inflation sequence
Inflate the air chambers (1f) in the following sequence:
- Base chamber with screw-on valve 1
- Side chamber with screw-on valve 2
- Side chamber with screw-on valve 3
Note: the air chambers are marked on the product with the corresponding numbers ( 1 – 3 ).
Filling the air chambers
The optimal operating pressure for all air chambers (1f) is 0.1bar (1.5psi).
Note: use the supplied air pump (3) to inflate the kayak (1).
Alternatively, you can also use commercially available foot or double-stroke
piston pumps with corresponding attachments and a pressure gauge for
inflation.
Screw the end of the hose with the pressure gauge (4a) onto the thread (3a) of
the air pump (Fig. D).
Note: use the tube thread of the pump labeled “INFLATE”.
Base chamber and side chamber with screw-on valve
-
Unscrew the sealing cap (10a) from the base (10b) anticlockwise (Fig. E).
-
Inflate the base chamber 1 and the side chambers 2 and 3 using the appropriate air pump and pump attachment (Fig. F).
Note: check the pressure by putting the pressure gauge (4b) on the end of the tube (4).
Note: the value shown on the pressure gauge serves only as a reference. The pressure gauge should not be used as a precision instrument. -
Screw the sealing cap (10a) on the screw-on valve clockwise to close it.
Seat
- Unscrew the sealing cap (8a) from the base (8b) anticlockwise (Fig. G).
- Pump up the seat with the air pump (3) and corresponding pump attachment.
- Screw the sealing cap (8a) clockwise to close it.
Regulating the operating pressure
IMPORTANT!
- The PVC material will stretch slightly after initial inflation of the product, and will not revert to its original state.
- Please be aware that the required pressures may vary slightly depending on the load and outdoor temperature. Check the operating pressure regularly by connecting the air pump (3) to the screw-on valve (10) and reading the value on the pressure gauge (4b).
Attaching accessories
Attaching the seat (Fig. H)
- Attach the seat (8) with the underside to the hook and loop fastener strips (1d) on the bottom of the kayak (1).
- Fasten the seat in the eyelets (1c) on the side chambers 2 and 3 using the straps (8d).
Note: the position of the seat is variable along the center line of the
kayak and can be adjusted accordingly. The arrows indicate the direction in
which the person must look. The eyelets are arranged so that the backrest can
be easily fastened with the straps.
Note: adjust the length of the fastening strap by pulling a piece of the
strap out of the slider and pulling the strap on the other side of the slider
(Fig. H).
Note: the castor (1j) at the bow serves as a footrest.
Dismantling the kayak
- Find a clean, flat surface for dismantling the product.
- Remove the seat (8) and the fins (7).
Deflating
Deflate the kayak (1) and the seat (8) as follows:
Unscrew the screw-on valves (10b/8b) from the threaded opening (10c/8c)
without opening the sealing cap (10a/8a) and allow the air to escape
completely from the air chambers (1f)/ the seat (Fig. F)/(Fig. G).
Disassembling the double-bladed paddle
- Press the respective locking button of the paddle blade (5) and the mid-section (6a).
- Pull the mid-sections (6a) and (6b) off the respective paddle blade and then pull them apart.
Note: the drip rings (5a) should be left on the paddles.
Drain plug
You can use the drain plug (1g) to drain water from the kayak (1).
- To do this, pull the kayak ashore and open the drain plug (Fig. J).
- Raise the stern (1a) of the kayak.
- Close the drain plug again as soon as the water has drained.
Transport
Note: always transport the kayak in pairs.
Note: during transport when inflated, you can attach the paddles to the

- Place the kayak on a clean, level, and dry surface.
- Roll the kayak together.
- Place the kayak and all accessories into the backpack.
Repairs
WARNING!
- Before every use, check the kayak (1) for pressure loss, holes or tears.
- If the kayak is leaking air, this could be due to a leak in the kayak or a defective screw-on valve.
- Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair larger damaged areas yourself.
- You can repair minor damage on the kayak using the repair patch provided (9).
- Note: the air chambers (1f) of the kayak are removable (Fig. I).
Removing air chambers (Fig. I)
- Unscrew the base (10b) from the threaded opening (10c).
- Remove the screw-on valve (10) from the side chamber.
- Open the zip fastener (1e) on the screw-on valve.
- Remove the air chamber (1f).
Inserting air chambers
- Push the air chamber (1f) through the opening of the zip (1e) into the side chamber.
- The screw-on valve openings on the side chamber and air chamber are now on top of each other.
- Screw the base (10b) back in as described in “Tightening the screw-on valve”.
- Close the zip fastener.
Note: make sure that the side chamber rises evenly the next time you inflate it. If it buckles anywhere, check the position of the air chambers. You can also adjust the position of the air chamber using the second zip at the rear (1a).
Using the repair patches
-
Let the air out of the kayak completely and clean the damaged area with an alcohol-based solution. Roughen the area surrounding the tear or hole slightly using fine sandpaper.
-
Cut a repair patch (9) that is large enough to cover the damaged area plus 1.3cm around it on all sides.
-
Remove the film from the self-adhesive repair patch.
-
Press the repair patch down with a soft object.
Note: make sure that you are working on a level surface with no wrinkles or folds. Using a rounded object, gently remove any bubbles, moving outwards from the center. -
Wait for at least 12 hours after the repair before re-inflating the kayak.
