As with all portable appliances: This product is suitable only for well insulated spaces or for occasional use.
This product complies with all the required European and UK Product Safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility, and Environmental Standards. They are fully compliant with the LVD, EMC, RoHS, and Eco Design Directives and Regulations.

FUTURE REFERENCE DO NOT COVER or obstruct the air inlet and outlet openings in
any way.
IMPORTANT: If the mains lead of this appliance is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision.
WARNING: To avoid danger of suffocation please remove all packaging
materials particularly plastic and EPS and keep these away from vulnerable
people, children and babies.
WARNING: To avoid the risk of accidental strangulation from the supply
cord all children and vulnerable people must be supervised when in the
vicinity of the product whether it is working or not.
The socket-outlet must be accessible at all times to enable the mains plug to
be disconnected as quickly as possible.
This instruction leaflet belongs to the appliance and must be kept in a safe
place. If changing owners, the leaflet must be surrendered to the new owner.

DO NOT use this appliance until the base is properly assembled and it is
standing upright supported on and by its base only. Do not use lying down or
lying at an angle against anything.
WARNING: The output voltage for the battery charger for this product
should not exceed 5V(1A). Check the output voltage indicated on the rating
label of the charging unit carefully. Using the wrong voltage will damage the
unit.
IMPORTANT: Very young children/babies should not be allowed near or
within reach of the appliance, there is danger as the openings in the
enclosure are not small enough to prevent small fingers from getting in or
caught and the area around the fan head is vertical swivel point could also
catch or trap fingers, please consider your child’s and your safety.
DO NOT put your fingers or any other object into the grill when the fan
is operating.
IMPORTANT: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge. Do not let them use the appliances without
supervision by a person responsible for their safety.
IMPORTANT: Place the fan on a flat, firm, safe surface before use.
The fan should only be operated standing upright on its base, it is not
designed for any other function/operation

use and when not charging.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the fan does not touch any obstruction when
operating. Do not let hair, net curtains, materials, clothes or curtains etc.

on this unit. Doing so will void your warranty. The inside of the unit
contains no user-serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed by
qualified personnel only. This battery in this appliance can only be replaced
by a professional electrician, it is not designed for user maintenance or
replacement.

Installation & Operation Notes
- Open the packaging and take out the product, Instruction manual, and USB cable, and ensure all parts are present. Store the packaging for future use or dispose of it in a safe way, keep it away from children.
- The unit comes fully assembled.
- You should fully charge the product before operating it for the first time.
- You can use the unit free standing without the charging cable connected once the lithium battery has been charged.
- You can use the unit while connected to a live charging port but it should only be operated in Quiet, Low, or Medium speed modes – NB – Using it when connected to a charging port in High-speed mode may still discharge the battery and cause it to shut off automatically due to low power.
- You can adjust the angle of the fan head manually in a 90° vertical motion, place one hand on the base and adjust the head with your other hand to the desired angle, it will stay at whatever angle you adjust it to.
Charging Mode
Connect the small connector of the USB cable to the USB socket on the fan and
connect the large connector to a suitable (maximum) 5V charging unit (not
supplied). A typical laptop or computer USB port can be used or a suitable
plug adaptor – NB – please check the plug output rating to ensure it is a
maximum output of 5V/1A, connecting the fan to a higher charging output will
damage the unit. Please check the output rating of the charging socket before
use.
When the charging unit is switched on (with the fan in off mode) the LED
lights will flash to indicate the amount of power/charge in the battery as
follows:
- When the battery power detected is ≤ 25%, Light 1 will flash slowly on & off (interval approx.1 second).
- When the battery power detected is between 25% and 50%, Light 1 will stay on, and Light 2 will flash slowly on & off (interval approx.1 second).
- When the battery power detected is between 50% and 75%, Lights 1 & 2 will stay on, and Light 3 will flash slowly on & off (interval approx.1 second).
- When the battery power detected is between 75% and 100%, Lights 1, 2 & 3 will stay on, and Light 4 will flash slowly on & off (interval approx.1 second).
- When the battery power detected is 100% (fully charged), Light 1, 2, 3 & 4 will stay on.
NB – Charging & Working Duration:
- The charging period when the battery is fully discharged will take 7 hours using a 5V/1A adaptor to fully charge the fan.
- Working duration unplugged is from 4 hours in High-speed mode to 15 hours in Quiet speed mode.
Operation
There is one electronic push button positioned on the front of the LED lights.

Short Press Operation sequence:
When it is off with the charging cable disconnected
• Press the button once and it will switch on in Quiet mode and indication light 1 will come on.
• Press the button again and it will switch to Low-speed mode and indication light 2 will come on.
• Press the button again and it will switch to Medium-speed mode and indication light 3 will come on.
• Press the button again and it will switch to High-speed mode and indication light 4 will come on.
• Press the button again and it will switch Off and all lights will go out (when the charging cable is not connected). -
Long Press Operation:
Press the button for 1.5 seconds or more when the product is running at any speed and the appliance will turn off immediately without going through the short press sequence above.
LED Display Light Indication
A – Product Disconnected from Charging Port – No USB cable connection:

When the appliance is off – all the display LED lights are off.
-
When the appliance is on and the battery is fully charged, the working indication of the LED lights are as follows:
• Quiet Speed: Light 1 on, Light 2, 3 & 4 off
• Low Speed: Light 1 & 2 on, Light 3 & 4 off
• Medium Speed: Light 1, 2 & 3 on, Light 4 off
• High Speed: Light 1, 2, 3 & 4 on. -
When the battery has too low a charge and you try to switch it on the LED lights will flash 5 times (quick flash on & off – interval 0.25 seconds) then turn off completely.

When the appliance has been running and the charge in the battery runs too low then the working indication of the LED lights will flash depending on which speed mode was operating as follows;
• If the appliance is working at a Quiet speed (light 1 on), then light 1 will flash 5 times and the product & light will switch off.
• If the appliance is working on Low speed (lights 1 & 2 on), then lights 1 & 2 will flash 5 times and the product & lights will switch off.
• If the appliance is working at Medium speed (lights 1, 2 & 3 on), then lights 1, 2 & 3 will flash 5 times and the product & lights will switch off.
• If the appliance is working at a High speed (lights 1, 2, 3 & 4 on), then lights 1, 2, 3 & 4 will flash 5 times and the product & lights will switch off. -
When the appliance has charged in the battery and it is not operating (in off mode) you can check the battery power by pressing and holding the button for 1.5 seconds or more, the LED lights will indicate the battery power with LED indication as follows:
• When battery power is lower than 25%, Light 1 will light.
• When battery power is between 25% and 50%, Lights 1 & 2 will light.
• When battery power is between 50% and 75%, Lights 1, 2 & 3 will light.
• When battery power is between 75% and 100%, Lights 1, 2, 3 & 4 will light.
B – Product Connected to A Live Charging Port Via the USB Cable:
- Charging Mode – See the ‘Charging Mode’ section earlier in this booklet for a description of the LED indication of power/charge in the battery when charging and fully charged.
- Normal Operating mode while connected – See the ‘Short Press Operation sequence’ section on the opposite page with a description of LED indication in different operating modes.
Operational Warning Notes
- The output voltage for the battery charger must not exceed 5V (1A, connection to a higher power output port will damage the controller.
- If the product is damaged or the fan is prevented from rotating freely by some external interference the unit should be turned off immediately, failure to turn the unit off in such circumstances will damage the internal controller chip and probably the motor as well.
- We recommend that the unit should be fully charged before each prolonged operation.
- We recommend that the product should not be used in High-Speed mode while connected to a charging port.

Cleaning
If dust accumulates, it will affect the performance, so it is recommended to clean the fan at least once a month when in use.

Turn off the fan and unplug it from the USB cable.
Note: You must unplug the fan prior to cleaning, otherwise you will put yourself at risk of electric shock. -
Clean the surface of the fan with a damp cloth, and avoid direct contact with water.

Do not use any detergent, spray, or chemicals to clean the fan, these can damage the appliance.

Do not immerse in liquid or expose yourself to liquid splashes or drops.
Storage
- When the fan is not used for an extended period of time, unplug it and store it in an enclosed space to prevent dust from building up.
- Store the fan in a dry and cool space away from heat sources.
Maintenance-Repairing the fan
This product is not designed for user maintenance of any kind. If the appliance is not working well or it has been damaged, unplug the USB cable or turn off the unit immediately. Inform the Service Center or send the appliance to a professional person for repairing
Recycling
For electrical products sold within the European Community.
At the end of the electrical product’s useful life, it should not be disposed
of within household waste.
Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your Local Authority or
retailer for recycling advice in your country.
Batteries should be disposed of or recycled in accordance with WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU. Packaging should be recycled where possible.
Guarantee
What does a Dimplex Guarantee cover?
Dimplex products deliver reliable service for normal, household use in
domestic settings. All Dimplex products are individually tested before leaving
the factory.
If you are a consumer and you experience a problem with your Dimplex product,
which is found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship within
the Guarantee Period, this Dimplex Guarantee will cover repair or – at the
discretion of Dimplex –replacement with a functionally equivalent Dimplex
product.
Your product is under guarantee for 1 year from the date of purchase or the
date of delivery of the product, if later. The 1-year guarantee is extended
for an additional 2 years when you register the product with Dimplex, within
28 days of purchase. If you do not register the product with Dimplex within 28
days, your product will remain guaranteed for 1 year only. To validate your
extended guarantee register with us online at:
http://register.dimplex.co.uk. N.B. Each qualifying product needs to be
registered with Dimplex individually. Please note that the extended guarantee
is only available in the UK and Ireland.
The Dimplex Guarantee is conditional upon you providing the original purchase
receipt as proof of purchase. Please, therefore, retain your receipt as proof
of purchase.

any charges before any chargeable service is carried out.
What is not covered by a Dimplex Guarantee?
The Dimplex Guarantee does not cover any of the following:
Any fault or damage to your Dimplex product due to faulty materials or
workmanship occurring outside the Guarantee Period.
Normal wear and tear including parts that might wear out over time or
consumables, such as filters.
Any fault or damage occurring to any pre-owned Dimplex product or to any other
equipment or property.
Accidental damage to your Dimplex product or damage to your Dimplex product
from external sources (for example, transit,
weather, electrical outages, or power surges).
Fault or damage to your Dimplex product which is:
- Not due to faulty materials or workmanship or which is due to circumstances outside Dimplex’s control.
- Caused by the use of your Dimplex product for anything other than normal domestic household purposes in the country where it was purchased.
- Caused by any misuse, abuse, or negligent use of the Dimplex product, including but not limited to any failure to use it in accordance with the Operating Instructions supplied with the product.
- Caused by any failure to assemble, install clean, and maintain your Dimplex product in accordance with the Operating Instructions supplied with the product unless this was carried out by Dimplex or its authorized dealers.
- Caused by repairs or alterations to your Dimplex product not carried out by Dimplex service personnel or its authorized dealer(s).
- Caused by use of any consumables or spare parts for your Dimplex product that is not Dimplex – specified.
Terms and Conditions
The Dimplex Guarantee is valid for 1 calendar year, plus 2 if registered, from
the date of purchase of your Dimplex product from a recognized retailer in the
country of purchase and use, or the date of delivery of the product if later,
always provided the original receipt has been retained and is produced as
proof of purchase.
You must provide to Dimplex or its authorized agents on request the original
receipt as proof of purchase and – if required by Dimplex – proof of delivery.
If you are unable to provide this documentation, you will be required to pay
for any repair work required.
Any repair work under the Dimplex Guarantee will be carried out by Dimplex or
its authorized dealer(s) and any parts that are replaced will become the
property of Dimplex. Any repairs performed under the Dimplex Guarantee will
not extend the Guarantee Period.
Any replacement of your Dimplex product by Dimplex during the Guarantee Period
will start the 3-year Guarantee Period afresh from the date of delivery of the
replacement Dimplex product to you. (*Please keep the original online
guarantee registration email and the sales receipt for your original purchase
as proof of the additional 2 years, in case of the unlikely event you
experience an issue).
The Dimplex Guarantee does not entitle you to the recovery of any indirect or
consequential loss or damage including but not limited to loss or damage to
any other property.
The Dimplex Guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer
and your statutory rights are not affected by this Dimplex Guarantee.
