Fixture should be used in ceilings with 25°C ambient temperature as standard.

Non-IC rated luminaires should be installed with 1/2″ clearance on all sides from non-combustible materials and with 3″ clearance on all sides from insulation (unless marked spacing noted otherwise). If fixtures are ICAT and labeled as inherently protected, insulation may be applied directly onto fixture enclosure.

Install mounting frame to ceiling, securing bars to t-bar or joists per local code. To lock mounting bars horizontally,

use channel locks to compress the locking tabs as shown in

Fig. 2

4 If necessary, adjust the mounting frame vertically to align the bottom edge of the aperture flush or slightly above the ceiling plane (Fig. 3). Vertical slot allows for 1-1/8″ of adjustment. Retighten wing nut when finished.

Remove a knockout on rear of junction box to feed supply power to fixture (Fig. 4). Push-in conduit fittings

are strongly recommended. Supply wire must meet

applicable electrical codes and be rated for a minimum

of 90°C. Junction box is thru-wire rated for 8 – No. 12

AWG conductors (4in-4out). Appropriate control wires to

be provided by installer in accordance with selected

driver option.

Pull supply wires and driver leads through aperture if

If flangeless trims are specified, a Gotham flangeless adapter must be used. For self flanged applications, skip to Trim/LED module installation instructions (pages 21­23).
Gotham flangeless adapters are intended to be used only with Gotham new construction and remodel housings and corresponding trims.
For best results, use Gotham flangeless adapters with new, unpainted, paper- faced gypsum board only. Use of these adapters with other ceiling materials is not recommended.
Note: For best appearance, at minimum a Level 4 drywall finish for textured ceilings and a Level 5 drywall finish for flat ceilings is recommended. In addition, use of a setting-type joint compound such as Sheetrock® brand Durabond® is recommended to increase durability and prevent the formation of hairline cracks over time.

If LED module was disconnected from mounting
1 frame in previous step, open quick disconnect
enclosure door through aperture (Fig. 1).

Connect the LED module input wire connector to
2 the driver output connector inside the quick
disconnect enclosure. Place the conduit into quick
disconnect enclosure recess and snap door closed
to properly strain relief connection (Fig. 2).

With the LED module hanging through the aperture, hold LED module in one hand. With other hand, align the

notches in trim with the twist lock component (highlighted

in blue) inside the LED Module (Fig 3). Ensure the trim is

fully seated. Rotate the trim clockwise until locked into

place (Fig 4).

CAUTION! Use care when removing the LED module for

maintenance purposes. Support the spring assemblies during removal to prevent injury.

To access driver, optic, or LED light engine, remove LED module by gripping trim around flange edge and

begin to pull downward. Retention spring housings will

catch on interior edge of aperture and stop. When

springs stop on aperture edge, use fingers to support

spring housings in upright position while continuing to

pull LED module out of aperture. (Fig. 1)

Open quick disconnect enclosure door through aperture.

Connector latch

Remove conduit from strain relief recess of quick disconnect enclosure. Depress connector latch to

disconnect while supporting LED module to prevent from

falling. Connect new LED module input wire connector to

the driver output connector inside the quick disconnect

enclosure. Place the conduit into quick disconnect

enclosure recess and snap door closed to properly strain

relief connection. Re-install LED module into fixture.

Slide driver sled out of junction box and out through aperture. Release lead wires from driver. Remove screws holding driver. Install new driver and screws. Install driver

1 If luminaire is supplied with controls for DMX, NLIGHT, NLIGHT Air, or Atrius®, make control wire connections inside accessory housing (Fig. 1). If luminaire does not include, skip this step.

housing from frame. To remove, loosen screw, slide

accessory housing to the right and pull housing feet out of

frame slots and down through aperture (Fig. 2). Re-install in

reverse order.

1 The IVO6 LED driver, E6WR battery pack and accessory options are shown in Fig. 1. The battery and accessories can be serviced through the aperture.

2 First, disconnect the wire harnesses to the LED driver and accessory (Fig. 2). Remove brass thumb nuts holding LED driver and accessory brackets, slide out and down through aperture. Replace LED driver and/or accessory. Re-install in reverse order.
