IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTION
WARNING – To guard against injury, basic safety precaution should be observed including the following:
DANGER: To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken since water is employed in the use of this equipment. For each of the following situations, do not attempt repairs by yourself; return the appliance to an authorized service facility for service or discard. If the appliance shows any sign of abnormal water leakage, immediately unplug it from the power source.
- The pump must not run dry.
- Do not operate any equipment if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or if it is damaged in any manner.
- If the motor unit shows any sign of abnormal water leakage or if RCD (or GFCI-Ground Fault Current Interrupter) switches off, disconnect the power supply cord from mains and remove pump from water.
- To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts or hot parts such as heaters, reflectors, lamp bulbs, etc.
- Always unplug this equipment from an outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Never yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.

INSTALLATION
WARNING: Disconnect the plug of all aquarium appliances before placing your hands into the aquarium water and/ or performing any maintenance of any kind. Do not plug filter in until setup is complete and aquarium is filled with water.
- Install the filter as you desired, place it in the terrarium and secure it to the glass with the suction cups (fig.1 and fig.2).
- Be sure the filter is placed under a suitable water level with the spray bar above the water surface (fig.1 and fig.3).
- If you choose to use the filter as shown in fig.4, secure the air tubing on the cable with a clip and place the air regulator in the air. Increase or reduce the airflow by adjusting the air regulator to supply oxygen into the water.
MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the filter from the electric supply before removing it from the water or carrying out any maintenance upon it.
Sponge and Carbon:
Regular cleaning and/or replacement of the filter sponge and activated carbon
is necessary to ensure that the filter works efficiently. The sponge can be
removed by simply opening the bottom cap. The plastic carbon box can be pulled
out easily from the other end of filter housing (refer to the Parts Diagram).
The activated carbon is always disposed after being used, but the sponge can
be cleaned and reused for two or three times before it needs to be replaced.
Do not clean the filter sponge with untreated tap water as the chlorine
substance will kill useful filter bacteria growing on its surface.
Impeller:
The impeller unit should be cleaned each time the sponge is cleaned or
replaced. Do not use abrasive or caustic cleaning agents when cleaning the
impeller unit.
CAUTIONS:
- Use a filter with the proper voltage rating to avoid damaging the motor.
- Always turn off the power before cleaning or preforming maintenance on the filter.
- Avoid getting the cable plug wet when cleaning the filter. If it does get wet, completely dry before connecting it to power.
- The filter is for indoor terrarium use only. Always use the filter in the proper location, under the appropriate amount of water. Never dry-run the filter as this will damage the filter and its parts.
- The manufacturer will not be responsible for normal wear and tear, any deterioration suffered through overloading, improper use, negligence or accident. Any modifications made by the purchaser will cause the guarantee to be null and void.
