NICREW Marine Aquarium Light
Important Safety Instructions
WARNING
To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be observed including
the following:
- READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFE1Y INSTRUCTIONS.
- Never operate a fixture that is damaged or malfunctioning, discontinue use immediately, and return the appliance to an authorized service facility.
- Ensure your hand is dry when turning the power switch on/off and when inserting/removing the power cord from the receptacle.
- If the light falls into the water, do not reach for it, unplug it and then retrieve it. If the electrical components of the appliance get wet, unplug the appliance immediately (Non-immersible equipment only).
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- The operating voltage must be compatible with the transformer’s voltage requirements.
- A G.F.C.I (Ground fault circuit interrupter) & surge protector are recommended for all electrical appliances.
- Ensure the fixture is securely installed before supplying power to the unit.
- Don’t look directly into the LEDs.
- Drip Loops should always be used to help prevent water from traveling along the cord and coming into contact with an electrical outlet. Drip loops must always be below the level of the outlet. If the plug or outlet does get wet, DO NOT TOUCH the cord. Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the system.
After disconnecting the power, unplug and examine for the presence of water.
Getting to Know Your Controller
- *White Channel: White LEDs and Red+Green Components of RGB LEDs
- **Blue Channel: All Blue LEDs and Blue Component of RGB LEDs
Quick Start Guide
- Press and hold to enter the selection screen.
- Press+/- to choose your desired setting type.
- Press OK to confirm/save settings.
- Press to exit the selection screen.
Pre-programmed Lighting Schedule
Default Program
8 Hours Full Intensity, 30 Minutes Sunrise/Sunset, with 3 Hours of 5% Blue
Moonlight
- Daylight ON Time 9:00 AM
- Daylight Color Spectrum W-100%, B-100%
- Daylight OFF Time 5:00 PM
- Moonlight Color Spectrum W-0, B-5%
- Moonlight OFF Time 8:00 PM
- Sunrise/Sunset 30 minutes
Detailed Programming Process
First Time Setup
- Before using your light for the first time, press and simultaneously, hold them down for 3 seconds. This resets the unit to the default factory settings.
- To enter the program mode, press and hold for 2 seconds. The clock icon will begin to flash.
- The entire program cycle includes in order (simple to press+/- or to cycle through each setting, then press OK to enter the corresponding setting, press to return to selection-screen without saving the changes):
You can program any setting by simply pressing OK until the mode you would like to program is reached.
For example:
Setting the Clock
- Press the OK button. The hour digits will flash.
- Press the+ or – buttons to set the hour (12-hour format).
- Press OK to move to minutes, then press+/- to set the minutes.
- Then press OK to save and return to the selection screen.
- If you are using the pre-programmed times and spectrum you are now set and the fixture will turn the lights on and off based on the pre-programmed settings. Press or leave the fixture idle for about 30 seconds to exit settings.
- If you are changing the pre-programmed settings, follow the steps below.
Setting On/Off Times, Color Spectrum, and Ramp Time
You can complete the settings in the following steps. You can write your desired settings down below. Otherwise, you will need to start over if you leave the fixture idle too long.
- Daylight On Time::
- Daylight Color Spectrum: W: % B: %
- Daylight Off Time::
- Moonlight Color Spectrum: W % B %
- Moonlight Off Time:_:
- Ramp Time: __ minutes (Oto 120 minutes duration)
NOTE:
The sunrise and sunset begin at the ON and OFF time. For example, if you
choose 30 30-minute ramp time and program the light to come ON at 09:00 AM,
the light will reach the set brightness at 9:30 AM. If you program the OFF
time at 8:00 PM, the light will be off at 8:30 PM.
Manual ON/OFF
- If, at any time, you wish to turn your light on, simply press .
- Press again to cycle through modes. Press to resume the normal timing cycle.
