Product Usage Instructions

  • Facility:
1. Create a drip loop with the connection cable to prevent water intrusion.
2. Place the light in the desired location ensuring a direct line of sight for the IR sensor.

    If facing issues with the remote, ensure it is pointed towards the IR receiver and adjust the camera angle for visibility on the LCD.

    Do not dispose of the product in domestic waste. Follow proper disposal guidelines.

WARNING
To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be observed including the following:

  • Use this product for its intended purpose only.
  • Do not touch the transformer with wet hands.
  • Turn off the power before cleaning the lamp.
  • Never yank or pull the cord from the electrical outlet.
  • Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken since water is employed in the use of aquarium equipment.
  • Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug if it is malfunctioning, or if it is damaged in any manner.
  • For your safety, we recommend forming a drip loop with the connection cable to prevent any water running along the cable from intruding into the socket.

Installation

Please verify that all components of the light fixture are undamaged before putting it into operation.

  • Make sure the light fixture is mounted correctly and securely positioned on the aquarium before operating the appliance.
  • Choose a cabinet/stand location (on or under) that is free of excessive moisture and will allow for a direct line of site for the IR sensor (located on the controller).
  • Plug in a 12V DC power supply into a G.F.C.I approved the outlet and ensured a drip loop was in place for all cables (see precautions page for drip loop).

Remote Guide

Set the Timer

  • Pull out the small plastic strip before using the remote control for the first time.

  • Press the button to turn on the light.

  • Select your desired color from the 15 preset colors.

  • Press the button to adjust the brightness/speed – 5 levels of brightness/speed to adjust.

  • Press 4/8/12H to select the 4/8/12 hours light cycle.
    Example for the 4H cycle. When the 4H timer mode is selected, the light will be on for 4 hours per day.

  • You can choose to press the button to activate the 30-minute ramp-up and dim-down effect (optional).

Controller Guide

Set the Timer with the Controller

  • Press the button to turn on the light.
  • Press the button to select your desired color through the 15 preset colors.
  • Press the to adjust the brightness/speed – 5 levels of brightness/speed to adjust.
  • Press the button to choose a 4/8/12 hours light cycle.
  • Long press the button to activate the 30-minute ramp-up and dim-down effect (optional).

NOTE:

  • In Sunrise & Sunset Mode, the light will ramp up to the brightness you set in the first 30 minutes and dim down to 0% in the last 30 minutes.
  • Once trigger the Sunrise & Sunset Mode, the 4-hour lighting timer mode will automatically turn on, you can press 8H/12H to set lighting time for 8/12 hours.
  • Press the button on the controller for 3 seconds to turn off the light.
  • If you turn off the light, the Timer Mode setting will be lost.
  • You need to reset the Timer mode when turning on the light.

Remote Troubleshooting

  1. Remove the protective battery plastic card from the bottom of the remote. If the remote remains unresponsive, open the battery compartment and replace the battery.
  2. Check the remote’s IR sensor.

NOTE:
Camera phones or digital cameras with infrared filtering cannot be used to check sensor functionality. Some smartphones use infrared filtering. Try using the front-facing camera if you find your phone uses infrared filtering. To see these lights, perform the following:

  • Point the camera at the remote sensor so that it is displayed in the LCD of the camera.
  • Adjust the camera angle and position until you can see pulses of lights in the LCD when pressing the remote’s buttons.
    • If the lights are visible, the remote is working.
    • If the lights are not visible, the remote will need to be replaced.

  • INGESTION HAZARD: This product contains a button cell or coin battery.
  • DEATH or serious injury can occur if ingested.
  • A swallowed button cell or coin battery can cause Internal Chemical Burns in as little as 2 hours.
  • KEEP new and used batteries OUT OF REACH of CHILDREN
  • Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.

  • The product contains a replaceable CR2032 battery, and the voltage is 3V. Ensure the battery is installed correctly according to nominal polarity (+ and-). Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands, or types of batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  • Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash. Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries and batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time according to local regulations.
  • Always completely secure the battery compartment, if the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep them away from children.
  • Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above (manufacturer’s specified temperature rating), or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage, or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
  • Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death. Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
