Important Safety Instructions

Warning – To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be observed including the following:

  • READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
  • Never operate a fixture that is damaged or malfunctioning, discontinue use immediately, and return the appliance to an authorized service facility.
  • If the light falls into the water, do not reach for it, unplug it and then retrieve it. If the electrical components of the appliance get wet, unplug the appliance immediately (non-immersible equipment only).
  • A G.F.C.I (Ground fault circuit interrupter) & surge protector are recommended for all electrical appliances.
  • The operating voltage must be compatible with the transformer’s voltage requirements.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Ensure the fixture is securely installed before supplying power to the unit.
  • Don’t look directly into LEDs.
  • Plug the transformer into an acceptable outlet. Be sure to incorporate a “drip loop” to prevent water droplets from running down the cord and into the outlet should any water get onto the cord.

Tips: This product is recommended for use over acrylic or glass-covered aquariums.

Getting To Know Your Controller

Note: For Plant Clip-on Aquarium LED, the white channel includes white and red LEDs. For the Marine Clip-on Aquarium LED, the white channel includes white LEDs.

Pre-Programmed Lighting Schedules

Default Program

Sunrise Time 9:00 AM
Sunset Time 5:00 PM
Sleep Time 8:00 PM
Daylight Color Spectrum W-100%, B-100%
Moonlight Color Spectrum W-0%, B-20%
Gradual Ramp Up/Dim Down 15 minutes each

Tips: Ramp Up/Dim Down 15 minutes each, pre-programmed and not adjustable.

Note: If the pre-programmed schedule above is followed, the lights will reach the brightness set for daylight at 9:15 AM and will be completely off at 8:15 PM.

Programming Process

First Time Setup
When using your controller for the first time, press and simultaneously, and hold them down for 3 seconds to reset the timer. This resets the unit to default factory settings.

Set the Current Time

  • To enter the program mode, PRESS and HOLD the for 3 seconds. The current time will begin to flash.
  • Press + and – to adjust to the hours.
  • Press to advance to the minutes setting, and press+ and -to adjust the minutes.
  • Press The time will be set and will advance you to the sunrise time setting.

Note: If you are using the pre-programmed on/off times and color spectrum, you are now set and the fixture will turn the lights on and off based on the pre-programmed settings. Leave the fixture idle for about 30 seconds to exit settings.

Set the Timer

Note: When you toggle through the programming, don’t leave the fixture idle for more than 30 seconds. Otherwise, you will need to start over. You can complete the settings in the following steps. Determine your desired On/Off Times and Color Spectrum and write them down below.

  • Sunrise Time: _ Sunset Time: _
  • Sleep Time: :
  • Daylight Color Spectrum: W: % B: %
  • Moonlight Color Spectrum: W: % B: %

After the current time has been set, you can follow the steps below to set the timer and color spectrum.

  • Press after setting the current time, and the LCD display will flash sunrise time. Press+ and – to set hours.
  • Press to save the hour setting and press + and – to set minutes.
  • Press to move to sunset time, sleep time, daylight spectrum, and moonlight spectrum. Program these settings by repeating the same steps above.

Note : If you want to only use the day cycle and not use the night cycle, press( ) when setting sleep time (sleep time flashing). Sleep time will be changed to OFF, and the night cycle will be disabled. The lights will begin to dim at sunset time and turn off completely after 15 minutes.

Manual On/Off

If, at any time, you wish to turn your light on, simply press( ). Press ( ) again to cycle through modes. Press to resume the normal timing cycle. In manual mode, LED lights can be dimmed by pressing+ and – .

Default Factory Setting

Press and simultaneously, and hold them down for 3 sec­onds to reset the timer. This resets the unit to default factory settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if the power goes out, will it store my programs?
Yes, when the power goes out, the programs will be saved. But you need to reset the current time.
Why is-:– displayed when setting the sleep time?
Conflict detected, sleep time should be outside the time period between sunrise and sunset. Decrease the time between sunrise and sunset or adjust the sleep time.
