Important Safety Instructions

WARNING – To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be observed including the following:

  • READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
  • Never operate a fixture that is damaged or malfunctioning, discontinue use immediately, and return the appliance to an authorized service facility.
  • If the light falls into water, do not reach for it, unplug it and then retrieve it. If the electrical components of the appliance get wet, unplug the appliance immediately (non-immersible equipment only).
  • A G.F.C.I (Ground fault circuit interrupter) & surge protector are recommended for all electrical appliances.
  • The operating voltage must be compatible with the transformer’s voltage requirements.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Ensure the fixture is securely installed before supplying power to the unit.
  • Don’t look directly into LEDs.
  • Plug the transformer into an acceptable outlet.

Be sure to incorporate a “drip loop” to prevent water droplets from running down the cord and into the outlet should any water get onto the cord.

Programming Using the Controller Keypad

  • Button Functions
    • Short press button to turn on/off the light.
    • Long press button for 3 seconds to enter/exit 24/7 mode.
  • LED Status
    • Steady Green: Running a 24/7 lighting schedule.
    • Flashing Green: Running a 24-hour light cycle.
    • Flashing Red: Custom 24/7 process is active.

Infrared Remote Guide

  • Turn on/off the light.
  • Engage all LEDs to the brightest setting.
  • Demo an accelerated 24-hour photoperiod cycle.
  • Enter/exit 24/7 mode, or used to customize 24/7 program.

Setting:

  • Press 24/7 to enter 24/7 mode. (LED indicator turns solid green)
  • Press time button closest to present time. The light cycle will start from the time you set.

Preset Modes:
Press 5000k, 12000k, buttons to engage 5000k daylight (Sunny White), 12000k daylight (Bluish White), or moonlight. M Memory function allows the storage of preferred color combinations.

Setting:

  • Choose a preset mode.
  • Use color pad to adjust red, green, blue and white as desired and each channel can be set to 100% – 90% – … – 10% – 5% – 0%.
  • Long press the M button to save custom color.
  • To access previously saved combination, press M button. NOTE
  • When running default 24/7 mode, the fixture will enter darkness mode from 12AM to 6AM. No light will come from the fixture during this time.
  • The 24/7 memorizes user time. Once 24/7 feature is initially set, user may exit, power off or on the unit by using the power button and still re-enter 24/7 mode without the need to reconfirm the present time.
  • When using your infrared remote, point the remote directly at the IR receiver located on the inline IR controller. It is important to have a direct line of sight between the remote and the controller.

Factory Reset
Long press on the remote for 3 seconds to reset the light to factory default settings.

Custom 24/7 Settings Quick Start

Before setting, ensure that the light is in 24/7 mode. (LED indicator is solid green)

  • Long press 24/7 button for 3 seconds, the indicator will flash red.
  • Press time slot you would like to edit. Once selected, use color pad to adjust coloration and setting.
  • Repeat step 2 until desired colorations and intensities are to your liking in all time slots.
  • When finished, long press 24/7 button for 3 seconds to save. The indicator returns to solid green.

NOTE: If no buttons are pressed within 30 seconds, the light will exit custom setup and return to 24/7 mode. The programs will not be saved.

Remote Troubleshooting

  • Remove protective battery plastic from remote. If remote remains unresponsive, open battery compartment and reposition battery.
  • Check remote’s IR sensor.

Tips: Camera phones or digital cameras with infrared filtering cannot be used for to check sensor functionality. Some smartphones use infrared filtering. Try using the front-facing camera if you find your phone uses infrared filtering.

  • Point the camera at the remote sensor so that it is displayed in the LCD of the camera.
  • Adjust the camera angle and position until you can see pulses of lights in the LCD display when pressing the remote’s buttons.

If the lights are visible, the remote is working.
If the lights are not visible, the remote will need to be replaced.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What if the power goes out, will it store my programs?
    Yes, when power goes out, the programs will be saved. But the clock will be set to 8AM when the power comes back. You need to reconfirm the present time in 24/7 mode.

  • Why are some buttons responsive while others are not?
    If 24/7 mode is left open: preset modes, custom color buttons, and memory button will not function. In order to close 24/7 mode, simply press 24/7 button.

  • Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.
  • The product contains a replaceable CR2025 battery, and the nominal voltage is 3V. Ensure the battery is installed correctly according to polarity (+ and-). Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  • Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash. Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries and batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time according to local regulations.
  • Always completely secure the battery compartment, if the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep them away from children.
  • Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above (manufacturer’s specified temperature rating) or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
  • Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death. Call a local poison control center for treatment informatton.
