Preparing for Installation:
What’s in the package?
- A. Front rock guard (x2)
- B. Rear rock guard (x2)
- C. #8 x 1 (25mm) Phillips flat head screw (x4)
- D. #8 x 3/4 (19mm) Phillips flat head screw (x6)
- E. U-nut #8 (x8)
- F. 1/16 (1.75mm) thick plastic spacer (x2)
- G. 1/3 (7.75mm) thick plastic spacer (x2)
Required tools:
- – Flat head screwdriver
- – Jack (for rear guard installation)
Front Rock Guards Installation – Part 1:
- Turn your vehicle’s front wheels to access the factory fender liner clips.
- Remove the clips and pull the fender liner to access the fender tabs.
- Take 2 u-nuts and screws from the package.
- Slightly pry open each u-nut and slide them onto the fender tabs.
Front Rock Guards Installation – Part 2:
- Take the front rock guard with the logo facing the rear of the car.
- Insert screws through the guard’s holes and add spacers.
- Align and screw them into the fender liner without overtightening.
Rear Rock Guards Installation – Part 1:
- Jack up the car to access the rear wheel and bumper inner lip.
- Remove the plastic clip from the bumper inner lip.
- Take a u-nut and slide it onto the bumper.
Rear Rock Guards Installation – Part 2:
- Take the rear rock guard with the logo facing the rear of the car.
- Install a screw into the guard and screw it into the factory hole.

- Car Jack
- Wheel nuts removing socket and wrench
FRONT ROCK GUARDS INSTALL
Tips before the installation
Our rock guards should be installed with the logo facing the rear of the car.- Before installing the provided u-nuts, slightly pry them open with a flat head screwdriver. Doing so will help to prevent scratching the paint when sliding them on.
- A Turn your vehicle’s front wheels as much as possible to allow access to the 2 factory fender liner clips shown on the image above.
- B Remove both clips and gently pull on the fender liner to gain access to the fender tabs
- A. Grab 2 of the provided u-nuts(E) and screws(C) that came in the front rock guards’ package.
- C. Slightly pry open each u-nut to facilitate the installation and avoid scratching the paint.
- D. Slide the u-nuts on the two fender tabs making sure that the flat face is facing towards the front and that the hole is correctly aligned.
The lower U-nut must
be installed on the fender tab located behind the plastic trim.
- D. Push the fender liner back in place
- A. Grab the front rock guard (the FX3D logo should be facing the rear of the car).
- B. Insert both screws(C) through the rock guard’s slotted holes. The head of the screws should be resting on the opposite side of the FX3D logo.
- C. lnsert a thicker plastic spacer(G) into the upper screw and one of the thinner spacer(F) into the lower screw
- A. Align and screw both screws into the fender liner. Don’t tighten all the way to allow positionning the guards to your liking.
- B. When satisfied with the position, you can tighten both screws completely. Don’t over tighten.
- C. Repeat steps 1 to 4 on the other side of the vehicule.
REAR ROCK GUARDS INSTALL
Tips before the installation
We provide size #8 self tapping screws in order to provide a secure
installation while not leaving a noticeable hole in the bumper inner lip if
you ever remove our rock guards.
- A. Jack you car up so you can remove the rear wheel and gain access to the bumper inner lip.
- B. Remove the plastic clip shown on the image above.
- A. Grab one of the provided u-nuts(E) and slightly pry it open to facilitate the installation and avoid scratching the paint.
- D. Pull the black plastic over fender out of the way and slide the u-nut directly on the bumper making sure that the flat face is facing towards the front and that the hole is correctly aligned.
- A. Grab the rear rock guard (FX3D logo should be facing the rear of the car).
- B. Install one of the supplied screws(D) into the middle slotted hole of the guard.
- C. Screw it into the factory hole where you installed the u-nut. Don’t tighten all the way to allow for later adjustment
- A. Rotate the rock guard so that the upper slotted hole aligns with the bumper. Mark the spot with a pen.
The mark should be at 3/8”
(9.5mm) from the inner edge of the black over fender trim.
- A. Grab one of the provided u-nuts(E) and slightly pry it open to facilitate the installation and avoid scratching the paint.
- B. Slide it behind the black trim and into the bumper inner lip making sure it’s aligned with the mark you just made.
- C. Install one of the supplied screws(D) into the top slotted hole of the rock guard.
- D. Using an electric drill or a screwdriver, screw it into the bumper where the mark was done. Don’t tighten all the way to allow positionning the guards to your liking.
- A. When satisfied with the position of the flap, screw one of the supplied screws(D) into the lower plastic trim of the bumper through the lower slotted hole of the rock guard.
- B. You can now tighten all screws completely. Don’t over tighten.
- C. Repeat steps 1 to 6 on the other side of the vehicule.
