IN GENERAL
The Garden fountains are high-quality fountain pump systems for outdoor or
indoor use. The perfect eye-catcher.
****It‘s recommended NOT to conduct yourself technical modifications. First,
it is not certain whether these changes are technically correct and, secondly,
because no guarantee can be granted.
Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package distributor
and to us in written form. Failure to give timely notice to the shipping
company, and are there- fore rejected your claims from the transport company,
so we can not accept these claims as well. In your legal obligation to
cooperate to minimize damage, we point out expressly herewith.
OPERATION
- Unpack all components carefully. You should have received the following parts: 1pc Lotus leaf with white/orange flower / 1pc 12 hole daisy jet / 1pc 7 hole daisy jet / 1pc Fountain head adaptor / 1pc Pump outlet adaptor / Water flow valve / 1pc Pump with 5m cable / 1pc Solar panel / 1pc Solar panel bracket / 1pc Extension tube / 1pc Ground spike / 3pc screw
- Remove the protective film from the solar panel (if any).
- Position the solar panel so that it receives direct sunlight. The fountain can not work if the solar panel is shaded. Adjust the solar panel angle to maximise the amount of solar energy collected. Connect the pump on the panel (see illustration). Check whether the flow is fully open (or else promoted little or no water).
Frost
Frost can cause damage to the pump. The pump must be removed and stored in a frost proof environment if the water is likely to freeze.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION
Identify a suitable area in your pond for the lotus floating fountain. Put
together the lotus with the pump.
A water flow valve is included in the package. You can use it to adjust the
fountain hight to fit your pond size, if necessary.
In order to keep the Lotus Fountain floating in A desired position in your
pond and stop water loss from the pond, a net bag and wire pack are provided
to keep the floating lotus in place.
Simply fill the net bag with small pepples and size the wire length to the
correct depth of your pond.
Now the filled net bag will act as an Anchor to keep your lotus fountain in
position and stop it from moving around.
Join the bracket, tube and ground spike together and then attach the solar
panel to the bracket. Slide the bracket into the bracket slot in the backside
of the solar panel.
A wall mounting bracket with 3pc wall mounting screws are incluted in pack.
You can install the solar panel onto the wall/ fence (see diagram).
Twist pump plug slightly and pushing it into the pump socket. Make sure the
sealing ring is fully in groove.
Now your solar pump is ready to use. It will begin to work after having
received sufficient direct sunlight.
PERFORMANCE
After you have assembled the Lotus solar fountain and the solar panel, the pump starts to work after it has received enough direct sunlight and the battery is still sufficiently charged.
● Solar power pulse timing function
The product is designed to be on for approximately 2 seconds in pulse timing
mode and off for 5 seconds as long as the pump is connected to the solar panel
and the battery is sufficiently charged. The pump is shut down at dawn to save
battery power. It restarts when the sun rises again the next morning.
The performance of the pump depends on the orientation of the solar panel to the sun and its intensity. The maximum output is achieved under optimal conditions in summer and partly in autumn and spring. A function in the shade or with cloudy sky cannot be guaranteed. For models with battery operation, the function depends on the state of charge of the batteries.
BATTERY INFORMATION
Batteries can age prematurely due to very short and frequent charging processes and many other operating influences. The batteries are therefore subject to a shortened warranty of 6 months as consumables and wearing parts.
If you notice that the battery appears to be less efficient, the battery must be recharged. To do this, leave the device in the sun for 1 day (pump must be connected). We recommend repeating this procedure occasionally to extend the battery life.
NOTE: The battery is supplied pre-charged. If, contrary to expectations, the charge level is not sufficient, the battery should be charged for at least 1 day (the pump must be connected to prevent damage to the battery from overloading).
Warnings on the rechargeable battery
Lithium-Ion cells and batteries may become hot, explode, or ignite, causing serious injury if not used for their intended purpose. The Li-Ion batteries have an extremely long service life and are therefore not intended for replacement. However, should you need to replace them, please be sure to observe the safety instructions listed below:
- When inserting the batteries, be sure to observe the correct polarity.
- Avoid that the positive and/or negative terminals and/or the poles of the batteries come into contact with each other or with metal. This can lead to a short circuit.
- The batteries should not be disassembled or modified. The batteries contain safety and protective devices. Damage to the batteries may generate heat, explode or ignite.
- Do not store the batteries in or near fire, stoves, or other objects that emit high temperatures. Do not expose the batteries to direct sunlight. Do not store the battery in a car in hot weather. The battery may explode or ignite at high temperatures.
- Batteries should not be kept within the reach of children.
- To avoid short circuits, cover the poles of the batteries with insulating tape before disposing of them.
- Battery use should be discontinued immediately if unusual odors, a change in color, shape, or other abnormal circumstances occur.
- Do not place the batteries in microwave ovens, high-pressure containers or on hotplates.
- If liquid leaks from a battery and comes into contact with your eye, do not rub the eye, rinse well with water and seek medical attention immediately. If the eye is not treated immediately, the battery fluid may cause serious injury to the eye.
MAINTENANCE
- Solar panel : The solar panel should only be cleaned with a clean, soft cloth and with a suitable, non-aggressive glass cleaning agent.
- Pump : The pump should be cleaned from sediments and deposits at regular intervals, depending on the degree of contamination of the pond. To clean the pump impeller and filters, remove the plastic cover from the pump casing.
Storage
- Before storing the pump, fully charge the battery as described.
- To maintain the battery life, disconnect the pump plug and store all parts in a dry place.
