Safety Instructions and Warnings
- Please read the user manual before using the device.
- Always pull the power plug before performing any maintenance or repairs.
- Be cautious of electrical voltage and follow proper safety precautions.
Installation
The installation of the pump should be performed by a qualified professional.
Before installation, check the electrical connections and cables for any
damages. Ensure that the electrical connections are properly grounded
according to statutory regulations. The pump should be secured through an RCD
circuit breaker with a release current of 30 mA. It is important to provide
sufficient cooling for the pump during prolonged operation.
Before starting the pump, check for any leaks in the pump and water lines by
performing a pressure test for at least 24 hours. If dirt is expected in the
pump, install an effective pre-filter before the pump inlet. Fill the pump and
suction pipe/hose with water. Connect the pump to the power supply and start
it. If necessary, refill the pump and suction line until normal continuous
operation is established.
Note : Ensure that the specified terminal sizes are strictly adhered to
in order to avoid any defects in the pump. In case of strong restriction of
flow on the pressure side of the pump, water may come out of the housing.
Operation
- Open the cap of the filler neck and fill in enough water for it to escape from the neck. Turn the cap clockwise to close it.
- Connect the power supply. The display will show “3.0” or “0.0 bar”.
- Set the pressure display range to show the desired pressure value. The power indicator will light up.
- Open the discharge valve and press the “RUN” button to start the pump.
- Under all operating conditions, pressing the “STOP” button will stop the pump.
To adjust the working pressure, use the “+/-” keys. A short press of the “+” key increases the pressure by 0.1 bar each time, while a short press of the “-” key reduces the pressure by 0.1 bar each time. Holding down these buttons will cause the pressure to rise or fall quickly. After setting the pressure, open a water tap. The control system will regulate the pump according to the water demand. Check that the pump is running normally and that the pressure shown on the display is constant. If you notice any irregularities, refer to the “Recognizing and Repairing of Mistakes” section in the user manual.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION AND WARNINGS
INTRODUCTION
We would like to congratulate you on the purchase of our pump. We appreciate your trust. That‘s why functional security and operational safety stand by us in the first place. To prevent damage to persons or property, you should read this user manual carefully. Please observe all safety precautions and instructions for proper use of the pump. Failure to follow the instructions and safety precautions can result in injury or property damage. Please keep this manual with the instructions and safety instructions carefully in order to at any time you can restore them. Please always download the latest version of the user manual of www.profi-pumpe.de under „downloads“. This shall always prevail.
IN GENERAL
The pumps in the category Centrifugal Pumps are developed according to the newest standard of technology, manufactured with much care, and under strict intensive controls. The pumps have been optimized by us, especially for the special requirements for circulating and filtering large volumes of water. Make sure after unpacking the pump that the data given on the type label agrees with the included operating instructions. In the case of doubt, the pump is not to be used. Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package distributor and to us in written form.
RANGES OF APPLICATION
These pumps are made for pumping clear water (free of mud and sand, see
technical data)
The pumps are made for the following ranges of applications:
- In private and in public swimming pools
- Circulating large volumes of water
- Other Clearwater pumping
IMPORTANT!
The pumps are designed for pumping clean water and chemically non-aggressive
liquids. Any guarantee is void in case of improper use. They are not suitable
for pumping flammable liquids or for use in places where there is a danger of
an explosion. These pumps are intended for private and industrial use. These
pumps are designed for continuous use (without interruptions). In continuous
operation mode, the lifetime can be shortened accordingly. Never run more than
5 minutes against a closed valve pump. The pump has integrated dry run
protection. Never start and stop the pump more than 20 times per hour. When
the pump clocks, any claim under warranty is void. Not suitable for use with
solar photovoltaic panels.
INSTALLATION
The installation must be performed by a qualified professional. Please, check
each time before using, the electrical connections and the cables are not
damaged. Check before the installation whether the electrical connections are
earthed according to the statutory regulations and are installed. The pump is
to be secured through an RCD circuit breaker with a release current of 30 mA.
this is technically correct,
so this warranty is void. It must be ensured that the pump is sufficiently
cooled during prolonged operation.
It is NOT recommended to perform even cable extensions or any other technical
modifications. The lines to the pump must be installed always steadily rising.
A transfer of mechanical loads or vibrations from the pump or to the pump must
be eliminated through appropriate actions (use of rubber buffers, braided
hoses, line fixation, etc.). If the suction height is greater than 4m or the
suction length is greater than 9m, please make the suction line 1 1/4“
(approx. 32mm) or 1 1/2“ (approx. 38mm) instead of 25mm. Do not reduce the
suction line. All pipe/hose connections to and from the pump must be sealed
(e.g. Teflon tape or sealing cord – no hemp!). Do not reduce the suction line.
All pipe/hose connections to and from the pump must be sealed. We recommend
that you implement the suction line „as one piece“ without any interruption in
order to prevent and avoid leaks. Check pump and water lines for leaks by
pressure testing min. 24 hours. It is dirt expected in the pump, an effective
pre-filter should be
installed before the pump inlet.
Fill the pump and suction pipe/hose with water. Please connect the electrical
pump to the power supply. Start the pump. If necessary, the pump and the
suction line must be refilled until a normal continuous operation has been
established.
NOTE: Please note that a tapering of the pump connections may cause a
defect in the pump. Here, the terminal sizes specified should be strictly
adhered to. With the strong restriction of flowthrough on the
the pressure side of the pump (for example, due to a clogged sand filter)
water can come out of the housing.
OPERATION
Please open the cap of the filler neck, fill in as much water as is needed to allow it to escape from the neck, and turn the cap back in clockwise after filling the water.
- Connect the power supply, the display shows a „3,0„ or „0.0“ bar.
- Set the pressure display range to display the set pressure value and the power indicator lights up.
- Open the discharge valve, press the „RUN“ button, and start the pump.
- Under all operating conditions, pressing the „STOP“ button stops the pump.
- By pressing the “ “ or “ “ key, the setpoint value of the working pressure can be set; a short press of the “ “ key increases the pressure by 0.1 bar each time. A short press of the “ “ button reduces the pressure by 0.1 bar each, holding the buttons causes the pressure to rise or fall quickly.
- Open the water tap after setting the pressure, the control system regulates the pump according to the water demand. Check that the pump is running normally and that the pressure shown on the display is constant. If this is the case, the installation is complete. If you notice any irregularities, please read the point 10.
