 IN GENERAL

The garden fountains are high-quality fountain pump systems for outdoor use. The perfect eye-catcher.
2.1 It‘s recommended NOT to conduct yourself technical modifications. First, it is not certain whether these changes are technically correct and, secondly, because no guarantee can be granted.
2.2 Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package distributor and to us in written form. Failure to give timely notice to the shipping company, and are therefore rejected your claims from the transport company, so we can not accept these claims as well. In your legal obligation to cooperate to minimize damage, we point out expressly herewith.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  •  Unpack all the water fountain components from the packaging and lie on a flat surface.

  • Connect the pump to the water hose.

  • The LEDs are pre-assembled in the fountain body.

  • Plug the LEDs to the connecting cable with the cable plugs.

  • Connect each cable plug to a LED if there are several as shown in Figure 1.

  • Tighten the closing caps on the LED connectors.

  • If there is a rubber bung, lead the cables through it and place it on the tube in the corpus to avoid water leakage.

  • Mount the ground spike or wall bracket to the solar panel (see picture 2).

  • Remove the protective film from the solar panel (if existing).

  • Position the solar panel to receive direct sunlight. The Li-ion battery can only function if the solar panel is not in the shade. Adjust the angle of the solar panel if necessary (see picture 3).

  • Connect the solar panel, using the cable plug, to the second connection cable of the pump (see picture 1).

  • Tighten the sealing cap.

  • Fill clean water into the reservoir.
Note: Distilled water is recommended to reduce mineral deposits and bacteria buildup.

  • Before turning on the pump, make sure there are no kinks in the cable or water hose

  • When installed correctly, the water will begin to flow.

|
---|---

Please note that some water may splash out of the well when the pump starts up for the first time.
IMPORTANT!
Problem: Uneven water distribution or water splashes in the well area.
Correction: During the first start-up, uneven water distribution may appear. In such cases, we recommend checking the stability of the fountain and the water flow.
When all connections are complete, place the pump at the bottom of the fountain.
Route the power cable to the outside.

Fill the fountain with water.
The pump must be completely submerged in water, otherwise the pump will be damaged.

PERFORMANCE

The power of the pump depends on the orientation of the solar panel to the sun and its intensity. The maximum output is achieved under optimal conditions in summer and partly in autumn and spring.
Continuous operation in the shade or on cloudy days cannot be guaranteed. For models with battery operation, the function depends on the charge status of the batteries.

  •  Press the On/Off button on the back of the solar panel to switch on the pump. The battery indicator lights up. Pressing“ always means „touching“, as a sensor is used as a „pressure switch“.
  • Press the On/Off button on the back of the solar panel to switch off the pump. The battery indicator goes out.
  • The LED light starts to glow when it gets dark.
  • When the battery power is low, the system automatically switches off the pump to protect the batteries.  The indicator light goes out. The pump does not operate until the batteries are recharged.  The charging time depends on the intensity of the sunlight.
  • The charging process is interrupted as soon as the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharging.
  • The pump starts automatically the next morning when the solar panel receives sufficient sunlight and the batteries have reached the minimum charge level. Usually, the pump is then switched on and the batteries continue to be charged in parallel.

| 4.1 FROST
Frost can cause damage to the garden fountain and pump. If there is a risk of frost, the garden fountain and the pump  must be emptied, rinsed with clean water and stored in a dry place. Then you will enjoy it for a very long time!

MAINTENANCE:

  • Keep the fountain in good working condition by cleaning it and changing the water every 3 days. Using distilled or purified water will give the best performance.
  • If debris is caught in the intake vents of the pump, disconnect the pump from any power sources and rinse the pump under clean running water.
  • Before storing the pump in winter it is absolutely important to rinse it with clean water.
  • Any dirt particles remaining in the pump will dry out on the pump shaft during the time of storage and cause irreparable damage.

If after some time the pump starts losing power or stops working, please clean up sediment in the pump shell or filter cribs. Kindly note the pump can be opened by pressing down at the bottom of the filter housing. To clear the impeller, open the pump housing at the front by sliding up the front plastic cover.

BATTERY INFORMATION

After 12 to 18 months, you should replace the battery. For this purpose open the battery cover and replace the battery with a new. Please find the item number of the replacement battery in section 15. Technical data and order at
https://www.profi-pumpe.de/GARTEN-u-ZIMMER-BRUNNEN/Ersatzteile- Gartenbrunnen:::230_300.html.
Please note the limited implied warranty of 6 months.
Important! It must be ensured that the battery cover is properly tightened and watertight.
With repeated charge and discharge cycles Lead-Acid and Niamh battery packs are less efficient (memory effect).
This effect is much less pronounced, but still present in small mass in the Li-ion batteries used.
Through very short and frequent loading operations and many other operational influences batteries can age prematurely strong.
The batteries are therefore subject to a consumable and wearing part of a shortened warranty of 6 months.
If you find that the battery will be less efficient, the battery needs to be fully charged. These allow the unit for 2 to 3 days (pump should not be connected) standing in the sun in order to allow a maximum charge the battery or use a suitable external charger.
We recommend to occasionally repeat this procedure to extend the battery life.
If after this recharging the battery still does not meet expectations, you should replace the batteries.
NOTE: The battery is supplied charged. If the state of charge, contrary to expectations, not be sufficient to charge the batteries for at least 8 hours to allow sufficient charging of the battery (so damage the battery to avoid overcharging, the pump must be connected).

WARNINGS ON BATTERY

Lithium Ion cells and battery may get hot, explode or ignite and cause serious injury if they are exposed to abusive conditions, Be sure to follow the safety warnings listed below:
