Profi-pumpe BRE400 Flow Meter
Product Information: Flowmeter
The Flowmeter is a digital device used for measuring the flow rate of
liquids. It is designed for both fixed in-line installation and mobile use on
a dispensing nozzle. The Flowmeter comes with various components including the
BRE400, FM-120-2, RESET button, LCD Display, CAL button, RESET knob, and
Counter.
Main Components
- BRE400
- FM-120-2
- RESET button
- LCD Display
- CAL button
- RESET knob
- Counter
Installation
The installation of the Flowmeter should be performed by a qualified
professional. It can be easily installed in any position, either fixed in-line
or mobile on a dispensing nozzle. It is recommended to fit a strainer before
the meter to improve its lifespan. When connecting the Flowmeter, tighten the
couplings at a maximum torque of 55N/m.
Function
The Flowmeter (BRE400) operates in ready mode for low power consumption.
The LCD display shows the current amount of filling and the cumulative amount
of filling. The above number represents the current filling amount, while the
below number represents the cumulative amount of filling. When a measuring
pulse is inputted, the current filling amount increases. The Flowmeter has a
range of up to 9999.9 and automatically resets if the value exceeds this
range. The resolution of the Flowmeter is 99.999 999.99.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION AND WARNINGS
INTRODUCTION
We would like to congratulate you on the purchase of our Flowmeter. We appreciate your trust. That‘s why functional security and operational safety stand by us in the first place. To prevent damage to persons or property, you should read this user manual carefully. Please observe all safety precautions and instructions for proper use of the Flowmeters. Failure to follow the instructions and safety precautions can result in injury or property damage. Please keep this manual with the instructions and safety instructions carefully in order to at any time you can restore them.
IN GENERAL
The BRE400 meter features a turbine measurement system, designed for the precise measuring of low-viscosity fluids. The FM-120-2 is a mechanical meter. Designed to measure the quantity of fuel or lubricant for noncommercial use.
Both are
- Reliable, economical
- Easy to install and calibrate on-site
- Gravity is functional thanks to reduced resistance to flow
The meters are developed according to the newest standard of technology, manufactured with much care, and go under strict intensive controls – each meter is checked individually. The meters were optimized by us in particular for their special demands. Make sure after unpacking the meter that the data given on the type label agrees with the operating conditions. In the case of doubt, the pump is not to be used. Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package distributor and to us in written form. By transport with DHL please contact your local DHL office within 7 days.

In order to improve the life of the meter, it is recommended to fit a strainer before the meter itself. At the female inlets, tighten the couplings at a max. torque of 55N/m.
FUNCTION BRE400
Without special instructions, the following are measured in liters (L) for the
current unit.
Ready Mode
Ready mode for low power consumption, LCD displays the current amount of
filling and the cumulative amount of filling, The above number is for the
filling amount, and the below number is for the cumulative amount of filling.
- The current filling amount, cumulative filling amount, and reset
- The above number is for the filling amount, and the below number is for the cumulative amount of filling.
- When the measuring pulse is input, the current filling amount is up.
- The current filling range &resolution Range: 9999.9, if >9999.9, reset automatically Resolution: <99.999 three decimal resolution >99.999 <999.99 two decimal resolution >999.99 <9999.9 one decimal resolution
- The current filling amount reset
- Press RESET and the current filling amount will be reset, LCD display after 1 second, display: 0.000L.
- time total & cumulative total switch
- Press CAL, switchover time total, or cumulative total display
- Time total display: RESET TOTAL. Cumulative total display: TOTAL.
- If there is a filling pulse input of reset, the display still be RESET TOTAL
BATTERY LOW POWER REMINDING
When the battery power is 2.2V-2.4V, it will remind the user to replace the
battery.
To replace the battery, see the below picture: (1. Flow meter; 2. Battery; 3.
Cover)
Time total filling amount reset
Press RESET for 3 seconds when in ready mode, LCD displays the right picture.
Then press CAL, and the time total filling amount will be reset and back to
ready mode. If press RESET or no press after 3 seconds, it will not reset the
time total amount and back to ready mode.
CALIBRATION ERROR COEFFICIENT
- Press CAL for 3 seconds when in ready mode, LCD display is like the above picture
- Enter the error coefficient of calibration status, the digital flashing
- Press the RESET button, the digital shift, (flashing digital displacement),
- Press the CAL key, to modify the current flashing value, from 0 to 9 and, in turn to 0.
- After 6 seconds without button pressing, ending it will save the current calibration, and back to ready mode
- After calibration error coefficient, if there is a new measuring pulse input, then set
- New error coefficient for calibration
- Factory calibration error coefficient: 1.000
- Calibration range: 0.100-9.999
- Calibration error coefficient
- The calibration error coefficient is used for adjusting the error between the real value and LCD display value
- Error coefficient = real value/LCD value
- Example: Error coefficient = 1.000, real value = 100.00L, LCD display = 105.00L
- Then the new error coefficient = 100/105 = 0.952
UNIT SET
- Press CAL for 3 seconds, and the LCD displays like the above picture
- Press RESET, move the flashing position, till L flashing, and enter unit set mode
- Press CAL, and choose the current using unit.
- After 6 seconds without a button press, ending and it will save the current unit and Back to ready mode
