Before using the pump, please read the user manual carefully. Ensure to pull the power plug before any maintenance or cleaning. Protect the pump from rain and moisture. Be cautious of electrical voltage.

Ranges of Application
The pump is designed for various liquids but is not suitable for ignitable liquids like gasoline. Avoid using in explosive environments. Ensure pumped liquids are clean and free from abrasive components.

Commissioning
Installation should be done by a qualified professional. Check electrical connections and cables for damage before each use. Place the pump in well- ventilated areas with enough space around it. Ensure the pump is cooled during prolonged operation.

For stationary use, place the pump on rubber pads to reduce vibration transmission. Connect suction and discharge lines with reinforced metal hoses and avoid mechanical stress on connections.
Do not connect a hose longer than 5m on the pressure side. Use corresponding short hoses for smaller diameters. When using a pump nozzle, ensure to switch off the pump immediately after closing the nozzle to avoid damage.

• Please always download the latest version of the user manual of www.profi-pumpe under „downloads“. This shall always prevail.

IN GENERAL

The pumps are developed according to the newest standard of technology, manufactured with much care, and go under strict intensive controls – each pump is checked individually – rests of the check fluid could be still inside the pump or on the package. The pumps were optimized by us in particular for their special demands.
After unpacking the pump, ensure that the data given on the type label agrees with the operating conditions. In the case of doubt, the pump is not to be used. Transport damages are immediately to be reported to the package distributor and us in written form. By transport with DHL please contact your local DHL office within 7 days.

RANGES OF APPLICATION

The universal pump is designed for pumping water, food oil, juice, wine, diesel, biodiesel, fuel oil, machine oil, and petroleum*.

IMPORTANT

• They are not suitable for pumping ignitable liquids like gasoline or for pumping at places where the danger of an explosion exists. When using flammable liquids with the pump, make sure there are no open flames, lighters, matches, cigarettes or similar things present around you.
• These pumps are made for pumping clean clean medium. The pumped liquid should not contain abrasive components. Abrasive components reduce pump life.

COMMISSIONING

The installation must be performed by a qualified professional.
Please, check each time before using, that the electrical connections and the cables are not damaged. Also, it is NOT recommended to perform, for example, a cable extension. It is not certain whether this modification is technically correct, so this warranty is void. It must be ensured that the pump is sufficiently cooled down during prolonged operation.

Universal pumps are electrical products, which have to be protected against outer influences, f.e. caused by weather. Only use the pump in well-ventilated rooms and areas with enough fresh air. The floor, on which the pump may be used, should be flat. Please keep enough space from the walls. Place the tank as near to the pump as possible.

The specified suction lift is the maximum suction at optimal conditions. The suction line to the pump has to be steadily increasing. The pump and the suction pipe must be filled with the used medium before turning „on“ the pump. Do not reduce the cross area of suction and discharge lines. Connect suction and discharge lines to the pump using a reinforced metal hose. For stationary use please place the pump on rubber pads to reduce vibration transmission to and from the pump and thereby prevent damage caused. The suction and discharge lines should be connected to the pump in such a way, that no mechanical stress on the connections occurs. For example, Fix lines with pipe clamps with rubber inserts on the wall.

CAUTION: Do not connect a hose more than 5m 1 inch on the pressure side. For smaller hose diameters, use corresponding short hoses. When using a pump nozzle, it is necessary to ensure that the pump is switched off immediately after the nozzle is closed. These measures must be adhered to to avoid damage to pumps.

The automatic pump switches on automatically when the nozzle/water tap is operated and switches off when the nozzle/water tap is closed. This is not only convenient but also protects the pump from unnecessary wear.

INSTALLATION

• Connect all parts as shown in point 13.
  ( Note: The suction line must be filled with the medium used before switching on the pump).

• Apply the power cord to the motor by plugging the power cord into a power source.
  Switch on the pump with the On/Off switch

• Refuel as usual.

• When fueling is complete, return the nozzle to its storage position and turn off the pump immediately.

Please install the pump on solid walls or grounds. DO NOT attach the pump to cavity or gypsum walls, as these can amplify vibration, damaging the pump and significantly increasing the pump‘s operating noise. Always use vibration dampers for installation to avoid damage to the pump.

SECURITY TIPS

• Obey valid regulations on electrical security

• It is recommended not to let the pump operate for more than 30-40 min. at a time (risk of overheating)

• Never run the pump dry. The idle time should not exceed 30 seconds

• Never run pump against pressure

• Never pump liquid food products

• Before usage, check on the tightness of the hose clamps

• Pay attention to the max. liquid temperature of 35°C

• Never pull the pump on the electrical cable or pressure hose

• Disconnect the plug immediately from the power grid when the line has been damaged or severed

• Switch off the pump immediately after usage.
  The pump must not operate against the closed tap valve for more than 1-2 minutes

• Don’t move the pump in any way, while it’s running. It is recommended to work for 30-40 minutes at a time

• During longer unused times, clean the pump, wash it out with clean medium used, dry, and store it at room tempera-ture. If the pump was used with water, it is recommended to blow it through with a compressor before storage.

• ALWAYS supervise and watch the pump, while using

• The electrical connections are always to be carried out by an authorized professional

• The operation can not be performed by children and young people under 16 and people with intellectual disabilities

• The pump must be protected from rain and moisture. The pump may only be operated in dry rooms.
  The ingress of water into the energized components of the pump increases the risk of electric shock

SERVICING

Under normal pumping conditions, the pump requires no servicing.
But it is important to keep the suctions and delivery sections perfectly clean and free from all clogging. The following controls should be carried out regularly:

• Intactness of the electric cable
• That the connection hoses are not bent or broken
• Cleanness of the pump medium
  Moreover, the pump should be emptied at risk of frost, washed out with a clean medium, and stored dry.

GUARANTEE REGULATIONS

GUARANTEE REGULATIONS / STATUTORY WARRANTY
For all manufacturing and material defects, the statutory warranty applies. In these cases, we take the replacement or repair of the pump. Shipping costs shall not be borne by our company, except as required by law. Please report the warranty on our service platform http://www.profi-pumpe.de/service.php. We will inform you how to proceed with case-related. Please mark returns as sufficient postage. Unfortunately, prepaid returns can not be accepted because they are filtered out before the destination. We provide our service in Germany.

The warranty does not cover

• Material wear (sealing rings, impeller wheels, impeller chambers)
• Unjustified interventions or changes in the pump
• Damages by self-fault
• Improper servicing and improper use
• DRY RUNNING (Also partially!) of the pump
  Moreover, we give no damage compensation for secondary damages!

RECOGNISING AND REPAIRING MISTAKES

| Check the suction pipe and all connections for tightness. Fill the suction hose and the pump. Suction hose must be laid in a con- stantly rising, so that air bubbles can escape towards the pump
Motor carbon brush used up| Contact your dealer.
Reduced flow| Tank liquid level too low.| Fill up the tank.
By-pass valve jammed| Clean and re-assemble
Air in the suction tube| Make sure that the suction tube is not damaged
Filter clogged| Clean the filter.
Leakage of liquid| Check the connectors and gaskets.
The suction tube is resting on the bottom of the tank.| Raise the tube in the tank.
Excessive suction height.| Lower the level of the pump.
