meister 8971470 Voltage Tester

Instructions for use Voltage tester (125 to 250 V-)

For detecting alternating voltage. Keep these instructions for use and pass them on to the voltage tester.

ATTENTION! Danger to life through electric shock!
Only use the voltage tester to test voltage. Only use the voltage tester in the voltage range from 125 to 250 Volts. Do not use a damaged voltage tester. Only use the voltage tester in a dry environment.
ATTENTION! Never use the voltage tester as a screwdriver!
Prior to each use:

1. Check the voltage tester’s insulated jacket for damage. Do not use a damaged voltage tester.
2. Check the voltage tester’s glow lamp works on a connected power outlet. Dispose of damaged or functionally disturbed voltage tester.

WARNING! Non-voltage is not necessarily ensured by the glow lamp not coming on.

Lack of perceiving the indicator lamp may be affected by the following factors:

• Unfavorable light conditions, e.g. in sunlight
• Temperatures outside the range of -10 °C to + 50 °C
• Frequencies outside the range of 50 to 500 Hz
• Unfavorable locations, such as, for example, on wooden stepladders, insulating floor coverings, and improperly earthed alternating voltage systems.

Execute the following steps to ascertain whether there is an alternating current

1. Hold the tip of the voltage tester on the contact of the electrical line. And
2. Touch the other end of the voltage tester with a finger. With alternating voltage present, the glow lamp will light up.
