Product Usage Instructions

Principle of Operation:

The phase tester illuminates only in the presence of a potential difference between pole 1 and probe tip 3. If the user does not establish a sufficient electrical connection between the pole and the ground conductor (e.g., when wearing insulating clothing or on insulating surfaces or in an unearthed electrical network), any voltage relative to ground or the neutral conductor is not indicated.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Clean the phase tester after each use and before storage. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Store the phase tester in a dry place protected from heat, sunlight, and mechanical damage.

Usage:

  1. Hold the insulated handle of the phase tester as shown.
  2. Place probe tip 1 in an electrical circuit, ensuring the correct voltage range.
  3. Touch pole 3 with a bare finger and observe fluorescent lamp 2 for voltage indication.

Operation Principle

The phase tester lights up only when there is a potential difference between pole 3 and probe 1. If the user does not establish a sufficient electrical connection between the pole and the earth conductor (for example, in the case of insulating clothing or non-earthed networks), the presence of voltage with respect to earth or the neutral conductor will not be indicated.

Cleaning and Storage

Clean the phase tester after each use and before storage. A dry, soft, clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. A defective neon lamp cannot be replaced. In this case, dispose of the phase tester in an environmentally friendly way.

Store the phase tester in a dry place, protected from heat, sunlight, and mechanical damage.

Usage

Hold the insulated handle of the phase tester as shown. Place the test tip 1 in an electrical circuit, always taking into account the appropriate voltage range. Touch pole 3 with a bare finger and observe the neon lamp 2:

  1. If the neon lamp lights up: Phase conductor is under voltage.
  2. If the neon lamp does not light up: Conductor is not under voltage.

Disposal

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol requires separate disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). These devices may contain valuable, hazardous, and environmentally harmful substances. You are legally obliged not to dispose of these products with unsorted municipal waste but at a designated collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By doing so, you contribute to the protection of resources and the environment.

FAQs

  • Q: How do I know if the phase tester is functioning correctly?
    • A: The phase tester will illuminate lamp 2 when there is a voltage difference between pole 1 and probe tip 3, indicating proper functionality.
  • Q: Can the phase tester be used for voltages outside the specified range?
    • A: It is recommended to only use the phase tester within the voltage range of 100 – 250 V AC for accurate and safe results.
