Dip Switch
The device can be controlled using Serial, IR & USB. To select the required control method, adjust the dip switches on both the transmitter & receiver to the same position. Please see the diagram which shows the position of the dip switch for each control method. The shaded position shown represents the position of the switch. For example, the USB switch locations should both be downward as shown.

IR Control
The included IR receiver and emitter cables can be used to control either a source device from a remote location or a display device from the source location. For this feature, take care to position the IR Receiver in clear view of an IR remote control and connect to the 3.5mm IR RX port on either unit, finally connect the emitter cable to the IR TX port on the alternate unit and position it in a clear line of sight to the IR receiver on a desired device to control.

Serial Control
For serial control, take care to connect a serial device to the Serial port on the receiver and connect the serial port on the transmitter to a serial or USB port on the source device using an RS-232 cable or RS-232 to USB cable.

Troubleshooting

If there is no video on the display, follow the steps below:

  • Check that all devices are receiving power. Ensure that the DC plug and jack are firmly connected and that the power LED on both the transmitter and receiver are illuminated.
  • Check the AV connections between all devices are firmly secure in their respective ports.
  • Check that the LINK LED is illuminated. If not, please disconnect and re-connect the fiber optic connectors.
  • With HDMI® it may be helpful to unplug and re-connect their HDMI® connections to re-initiate theHDMI® handshake.
  • Check the length of the HDMI® cables used. For optimal performance, Lindy recommends using high-quality Input & Output HDMI® cables up to 2m.
  • Power off all devices, and power each device on in the following order: transmitter, receiver, display, and finally the source device.
