Product Usage Instructions
Safety Guidelines
Before using the air conditioner, please ensure to read and follow these safety guidelines:
- Read the instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.
- Ensure the unit is placed on flat ground with at least 50cm distance from walls or objects.
- Avoid placing the unit near heat sources, direct sunlight, water, or other liquids.
- Avoid operating the unit near flammable or corrosive substances.
- Use the recommended exhaust pipe length to prevent operational issues.
- Wait at least 4 minutes before restarting the unit to prevent compressor damage.
Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for proper installation of the air conditioner:
- Place the unit indoors in a dry environment or outdoors with the window kit installed.
- Ensure the machine is placed on flat ground with proper ventilation space.
- Install the exhaust pipe according to the recommended length.
Operating Instructions
To switch between cooling, heating, and dehumidifying modes, follow these steps:
- For Cooling:
- Ensure correct positioning of exhaust pipe and air outlet cover.
- Press Power button to turn on the unit.
- Select Cooling mode by pressing Mode button.
- Adjust temperature using TEMP buttons.
- For Heating:
- Interchange exhaust pipe and air outlet cover positions.
- Press Power button to start the unit.
- Select Heating mode using Mode button.
- Adjust temperature as needed.
- For Dehumidifying:
- Connect a drain hose to the upper drain hole.
- Remove exhaust pipe if needed.
- Press Power button to turn on the unit.
- Select Dehumidifying mode using Mode button.

Important
For safety purposes, you should read the instructions carefully before using
the appliance for the first time. Save for future reference.
The appliance is designed for domestic use and may only be installed and
operated in accordance with these instructions.

This unit is used for cooling, heating and dehumidifying and should be placed indoors in a dry environment, with the exception of the window kit exclusive for this PAC series. With the window kit installed you may place the air conditioner outdoors while cool air or hot air is blown in via an opening in the window.

Place the unit on flat ground, and keep a distance of at least 50cm between the machine and the wall or other objects. Keep the machine upright so that the compressor can work properly.

For cooling, operate this unit at an ambient temperature of 17 – 35°C. For heating, operate it at an ambient temperature of 5 – 23°C.

Keep the machine away from heat sources, power supply and direct sunlight. Also keep it away from water and other liquids. Do not spatter water or oil onto the unit.

Do not operate the machine near gasoline
or any other flammable or corrosive substances. Do not apply spraying agents (such as pesticides or paint) or flammable substances onto the unit. Otherwise, plastic deformation or electrical damage of the machine may occur. -
It is recommended to use the originally supplied exhaust pipe or an exhaust pipe no longer than 1.5 m. If the exhaust pipe is too long, it may affect the unit’s operation.

When the unit is shut off, wait at least 4 minutes before restarting. This is to prevent the compressor from being damaged. Users also need to wait 4 minutes when changing between cooling and heating modes.

Turn off the machine before pulling out the plug. Do not tug the power cord when removing the plug from a power source or moving the machine.

Always unplug the machine before cleaning, part-replacement and repair, or when leaving unused for a long time.

Clean air filter periodically for efficient cooling.

Make sure the socket can be easily reached.
-
Do not insert hard objects into air grille.

Do not block the air inlet or outlet.

The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or any individual lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

In order to avoid accidents, do not leave the machine unattended during operation. Turn off the unit if left unattended for a short while.

Remove faulty or damaged batteries from the remote control immediately and dispose of properly.

The appliance can only be connected to a supply with system impedance of no more than 0.219Ω. Please consult your supply authority for system impedance information if necessary.

If the power cord, plug or machine is damaged, do not use the machine. Contact our Repair Centre or a qualified technician for repair. Do not attempt to repair the machine yourself. Any attempt at repair by non-professional persons may result
in danger. German Pool takes no responsibility for any damage that may result as a consequence of unqualified repair. -
The appliance needs at least 10 Amps of electricity for its compressor to operate. To ensure regular household electricity supply, use a separate plug and do not use any extension cord for this unit.

Only use supplied accessories, otherwise danger and damage to the machine may occur.

Power voltage and frequency should comply with the main technical parameter requirements of the machine.

Installation Instructions
A. Unpacking
- Place the unit in the correct upright position before unpacking.
- Cut the two packing straps.
- Slide the carton upwards to release from the base.
- Grip the handles located on both sides of the unit and carefully lift until it slides out of the foam base.
- Disconnect the tie-in inside the exhaust pipe and take out the exhaust pipe.
- Install the exhaust pipe before operating the unit.
B. Operating Environment
- Ensure the unit is not placed against objects which will obstruct air intake, e.g. furniture or curtains.
- Do not place the unit in direct sunlight, as this may cause the unit to overheat and turn off.
- Do not operate in a narrow place, since the appliance will expel hot air.
- Do not operate in a humid environment, in order to prevent power leakage.
- Do not place the appliance in a sunlit corner, in order to prevent color fading.
Note:
The unit is fitted with a thermal cut-off device for safety protection.

E. Placement
The following steps are recommended for effective heating and cooling
functions:
- Extend the exhaust pipe to a length of not more than 40 cm.
- The exhaust pipe must be kept level. Do not bend it upwards or downwards.
- Keep a distance of at least 50 cm between the filtered side and any surrounding objects.
F. Power Supply
- Make sure the plug is not damaged. Check if the voltage is correct.
- Insert plug into the socket. Turn on the socket switch and then press “POWER” to run the machine.
- Do not tug on the power cord when pulling out the plug or moving the machine. In order to prevent electrical leakage, avoid scarring the cord.
G. Change of Exhaust Pipe Installation for Heating
Before using the heating function, disassemble the air outlet cover and the
exhaust pipe with cover according to arrow directions (Fig. G1 & G2).
Then, exchange the two assemblies and install.
The finished illustration is shown in Fig.G3.
H. Installation of Window Sealplate (Optional)

Put pipe connector into window sealplate.
Adjust window opening width, so that the sealplate matches the window properly. -
Secure the sealplate with nails via small holes.The length of the sealplate can be extended to about 1.5 m.
I. Window Kit (To be purchased separately)
You may choose to place the air conditioner outdoors by installing the window kit (please refer to the window kit’s operating instructions for installation and operating methods). In this way, the cool air (or hot air) is blown indoors via the window kit on the window, while the unused air and the noise is kept outdoors.
Basic Installation Requirement:
You need to cut a circular hole with a diameter of 190mm in the window (note:
the dimensions of the window kit is (H)240mm x (W)205mm x (D)58.5mm).

A. Control Panel & Press Buttons
POWER
Press to turn unit “ON” or “OFF”.
MODE
Press to select from the following modes:
Cooling, Dehumidifying, Heating and Sleep.
Note:
- Water drainage is needed for Heating and Dehumidifying (Please see “Water Drainage” section).
- Users need to wait 4 minutes when changing between cooling and heating modes.
- When the ambient temperature reaches 5°C, the auto-defrost function starts, the wording “DF” will be shown on the display and the appliance will shut off. When the function ends, the appliance can be restarted.
TEMP
Press “Temp +” to raise temperature by 1°C with each press.
Press “Temp – ” to lower temperature by 1°C with each press.
Note:
Adjustment range for Cooling mode: 17°C – 30°C. Adjustment range for Heating
mode: 15°C – 25°C.
LED DISPLAY
The display indicates the temperature or the time setting. When the time is
set, the display will return to the preset temperature.
SPEED
- Press to select fan speed: High, Medium, Low or Auto.
- If “AUTO” is selected under Cooling mode, “HI” or “MED” or “LO” will be selected automatically according to the difference between set temperature and room temperature.
Note:
Under Heating and Dehumidifying modes, the fan speed is not adjustable. For
Heating mode, the default speed is high. For Dehumidifying mode, the default
speed is low.
TIMER
Pre-set power-on time:
- Press the “TIMER ” key at stand-by status to set the desired power-on time (1 – 24 hr).
- Once the set time has come the unit will turn on automatically.
- If the “POWER ” key is pressed before the time is up, the timer setting will be cancelled and the unit will be turned on.
Pre-set power-off time:
- Press the “TIMER ” key to set the desired power-off time (1 – 24 hr).
- Once the set time has come the unit will turn off automatically.
- If the “POWER ” key is pressed before the time is up, the timer setting will be cancelled and the unit will be turned off.
SLEEP
-
Press “SLEEP ” to select Sleep function.
Default fan speed is low. -
Under Cooling mode: When Sleep function is chosen, the temperature will raise 1°C from the set temperature after 1 hour, and raise a further 1°C after another hour, and then remain the same.

Under Heating mode: When Sleep function is chosen, the temperature will drop 1°C from the set temperature after 1 hour, and drop a further 1°C after another hour, and then remain the same.

Sleep function cannot be selected under Dehumidifying mode
Note:
Wait at least 4 minutes after shut down to restart the machine in order to
protect the compressor.
Water Drainage
Note:
- Make sure the rubber cap is locked onto the lower drain hole when the unit is running, except when “E4” is shown on the display.
- Under Cooling mode, “E4” will be shown on the display if water builds up inside the unit. When this happens, remove the rubber cap from the lower drain hole to drain water. The unit can then be restarted.
Under Cooling Mode:
Please make sure the rubber cap is locked onto the upper drain hole when the
unit is running. Note:Product may need drainage in highly humid environment.
Under Heating or Dehumidifying Mode:
- Pull out the rubber cap (see fig. 1) on upper drain hole.
- Drain water.
Method:
Connect a proper drain hose (see fig. 2) to upper drain hole for continuous
drainage.
Caution
In order to avoid electric shocks, please turn off the power and unplug the
unit before cleaning or repair.
Unit Body
- Unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Use a soft semi-dry cloth to clean the machine. Do not use chemical agents, such as benzene, alcohol or gasoline. Otherwise, the machine surface or even the machine itself will be damaged.
- Do not spatter water onto the machine.
Filter
The air filter located on the left hand side of the unit can be taken out for
cleaning. Simply pull the frames sideways following the arrow directions (fig.
below).
Note:
Do not run the machine without filters.
Filter Cabinet
Wipe with a damp cloth and polish with a soft cloth.
Condenser & Evaporator
Clean with the brush attached to a vacuum cleaner.
Troubleshooting
When you run into any problems operating this product, use the table below to troubleshoot the problems.

PCB wiring short-circuited.

E4| Water tank is full or possibly the wiring of plug is incorrect.| Pull out
the rubber cap located at the lower drain hole to drain the water away. Check
that the plug has been wired connected properly.
Note: If the problem persists or other abnormal situations occur, turn off the machine and pull out the plug. Then contact our Repair Centre for help.
