Solid Blue
The extender/adapter is in a proper position and receiving strong signal from your router. -
Solid Yellow
The extender/adapter is receiving good signal from your router. -
Solid Red
The extender/adapter is receiving weak signal from your router. Please relocate it closer to your router for better performance. -
Blinking Red Slowly
The extender/adapter is powered on, while setup is not completed or fails to receive any signal from your router. Please relocate it closer to your router or set it up again. -
Blinking Blue Fast
The extender/adapter is pairing with your existing router via WPS method. Please wait until the pairing completes.
Working Mode 1: Set Up as a Wi-Fi Extender
Power on
Plug the extender into a power outlet in the same room as your existing Wi-Fi router. Wait until the LED indicator blinks red slowly.
Connect to Your Existing Wi-Fi Network
Set up via Web Management Interface

Connect your Wi-Fi device to the default Wi-Fi network of the extender: Bros Trend _EXT, or connect your computer to the Ethernet port of the extender with an Ethernet cable.

Start a Web browser and visit brostrendwifi.com or 192.168.0.254 in the address bar.

If the Web UI is inaccessible, referto Q1 in FAQ. 3. Create a login password for future logins. . (Recommended)

Select Extender Mode, click Next.

Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to extend and enter the Wii password.

Customize the extended WiFi name(SSID) and password. Click Extend.

Check if the extender connects to your WiFi network successfully according to the status of the LED indicator.

Method 2:Set UP WPS button
This method is applicable if your router has a WPS button. Otherwise, use Method 1.
- Power on: Plug the extender into a power outlet in the same room as your existing router. Wait until the LED indicator blinks red.
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the extender, the LED indicator on extender will start to blink blue fast.
- Wait until the LED indicator turns solid on, which indicates a successful connection with your router.
After the WPS pairing, for network security, please connect your wireless device to the newly extended networks and visit www.brostrendwifi.com on a browser to set up a login password for your newly extended networks. Otherwise, the Web UI will be open to any devices connected to the extended networks.
Extended Network Names
XXXXXX_EXT or XXXXXX_5GEXT
(XXXXXX: the WIFi name of your router)
Password
The same as the WiFi password of your existing router.
Relocate
- For optimal performance, please plug the extender into an electrical outlet halfway between your Wi-Fi router and the Wi-Fi dead zone.
- The extender must be placed within the range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Keep your extender away from electronics with strong interference, such as microwave oven, induction cooker, and refrigerator.
Working Mode 2: Set Up as a Universal Wi-Fi to Ethernet Adapter
- Please refer to Working Mode 1: Set Up as a Wi-Fi Extender to set up first.
- Then connect your wired device to this adapter with an Ethernet cable. Setup completed !
In this case, you need to configure the IP Address and DNS server address of
your wired device as AUTO OBTAIN.
Working Mode 3: Set up as a Wireless Access Point
We here set up on a mobile phone as an example. Actual setup steps on a desktop or tablet could be slightly different.
Power on
- Plug the access point into a power out let.
- Wait until the LED indicator blinks red slowly.
Create Your Wireless Access Point Network

Connect your WIFI device to the default WIFI network of this access point: Bros Trend_ EXT, or connect your computer to the Ethernet port of this access point with an Ethernet cable.

Start a Web browser and visit brostrendwifl.com or 192.168.0.254 in the address bar.

Create a login password for future logins. (Recommended)
Connect to the Internet
Connect the access point to an Internet-enabled Ethernet port or LAN port of your router with an Ethernet cable. Setup completed’
Note
The LED indicator lighting solid blue indicates a successful Internet connection. Otherwise, refer to 02 in FAQ to reset this access point and try again. -
Select AP Mode, click Next.

Customize the Wi-Fi name and Wi-Fi password, click Save, then wait for about one minute until the LED light blinks red slowly.
FAQ

Q1: I cannot log into the Web UI of the extender.
What should I do?- For initial setup, ensure your wireless device is convicted to the default network of the extender: Bros Trend EXT. Ensure that the Mobile Data (if any) function is disabled. If Bros Trend EXT is not found, please refer to Q2 to reset the extender back to its default factory setting.
- If you have set up the extender successfully, you need to connect your device to the newly extended network of this extender and log into the Web UI.
- Verify that brostrendwifi.com is correctly entered in the address bar of your browser.
- Use another Web browser and try again.
- If you are using a wired device, such as a computer, ensure that your computer is set to Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.

Q2: How to reset the extender back to factory default setting?
- When the extender is fully powered on, press the RESET button with a needle-like object, the LED indicator starts blinking yellow fast.
- Wait until the LED indicator blinks red slowly, indicating the extender is reset successfully.

Q3: What should I do if I forget my login password?
- Please refer to Q2 to reset the extender first. Then connect to the default network Broslrend_ EXT and visit brostrendwifi.com to create a new login password. Please note down your login password for future logins.

Q4: The extender cannot find the WiFi network of my router. What should I do?
- Ensure the WiFi network of your router can be detected by other wireless devices.
- Change the WiFi channel of your router and try again.
- Change the encryption type of the router to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK or WPA2-PSK/
WPA3-SAE, and try again.
