  • Never move the barbecue while it is hot. Allow the unit to cool before moving it.
  • Do not use excessive oil or grease when barbecuing food. Too much oil or grease can produce larger-than-normal flames or even an out-of-control barbecue fire. If necessary, use a basting brush to apply a thin layer of oil or grease to food.

Lighting the fuel

  • WARNING! RISK OF BURNS!
If petrol or methylated spirits are used for ignition purposes, explosion- triggered uncontrollable heat generation may occur. Therefore, only ever use non-hazardous fuels, such as solid BBQ igniters. When using the barbecue, it must be placed on a stable and flat surface.

Note: To light the charcoal perfectly, the use of a charcoal chimney starter is recommended (not included in the package).

  • Make sure the barbecue is clean.

  • Lay one or two fire starters (not included) on top of the charcoal bed. Light them with a match.

  • After approx. Within 30 minutes, a layer of white ash should have formed on the charcoal or briquettes. This indicates that the ideal cooking temperature has been reached. Evenly spread the embers.
  • Position the pre-greased grill and start cooking the food.
  • You can adjust the degree of heat by changing the height of the grid.

Note:

  • Never place glass plates or dishes on the barbecue grill as these could crack.
  • Always use barbecue utensils with long, heat-resistant handles. Do not leave utensils on the grill for long periods of time.
  • Always make sure that the food is thoroughly cooked before eating it.
  • Take special care when cooking food. Oil or grease may splatter when cooking on the barbecue.
  • Stand a safe distance away from it.

TIPS:

  • Occasionally turn the food to ensure that it cooks evenly.
  • Brush meat, seafood, fish and vegetables with oil, grease or a marinade to prevent them from drying out during the cooking process and sticking to the grill.
  • Cooking times may vary, depending on the thickness of the food and the temperature of the barbecue.
  • When using wooden skewers, always soak them in water for 10 minutes beforehand. This will prevent the skewers from burning during the cooking process.
  • A marinade helps add flavour and can also make the meat more tender.
