  • This unit may be used by children aged 8 years and above, persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, and persons with no experience of using or knowledge of the unit, provided they are properly supervised or receive prior instruction regarding how to safely use the unit and understand the risks involved. Children should not play with the unit.
Cleaning and maintenance operations must not be performed by unsupervised children.

  • Keep the iron and its cable out of the reach of children under 8 years of age when it is plugged in or cooling down.

  • Risk of suffocation! Keep all packaging materials out of the reach of children.

  • This unit is intended for household or similar uses, such as:
    – The kitchen areas for staff who work in shops, offices and other work environments.
    – Farms.
    – Guests in hotels, motels and other residential-type environments.
    – Bed and breakfast-type environments.

  • Risk of electrocution! This unit must be plugged into an earthed mains socket. If you must use an extension cord, it is imperative that you use a model equipped with an earthed socket.

  • Never use a damaged unit! If the unit is damaged, unplug it from the mains socket and contact your supplier.

  • Warning! Never immerse the unit’s electrical components in water or any other liquid. Never expose the unit to running water.

  • Risk of electrocution! Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself.
In the event of a malfunction, repairs must be carried out exclusively by qualified personnel.

  • Surfaces marked with this symbol will become hot during use. To avoid the risk of burns, we recommend only touching the handles and not the unit’s surface.

  • The surfaces are likely to become hot during use.

  • Whilst the unit is in use, the surfaces can become hot enough to cause burns. Do not touch the unit’s hot surfaces (accessible metal parts and any plastic parts located near the metal parts).

  • Risk of burns! The steam emitted by the unit and soleplate can reach very high temperatures during use. Only ever handle the unit via its handle. Do not direct the iron-generated steam towards people or animals.

  • Do not use this unit for any purposes other than those intended.

  • Before connecting the unit to the power supply, make sure that the power supply’s voltage and rated voltage match the power specifications indicated on the unit’s rating plate.

  • The user should not leave the iron unattended when it is connected to the power supply.

  • To avoid damaging the power cable, do not crush, bend or rub it against sharp edges. Keep the unit away from hot and cold environments, dust, direct sunlight, moisture, and dripping  or splashing water. Keep the power cable away from any hot surfaces or open flames.

  • Arrange the cable in such a way that no one can pull on or accidentally trip over it.

  • Always switch off the unit before unplugging it from the power source.

  • Unplug the power plug from the mains socket before cleaning the unit or whenever it is no longer in use.

  • Do not insert any foreign objects into the housing. Under no circumstances should the unit be disassembled or opened. The warranty will become null and void for any damage resulting from improper handling.

  • To prevent the risk of injury, only use the unit with the parts supplied. The use of components from other companies or non-original spare parts may result in the risk of fire, electric shock or other accidents.

  • Regularly inspect the power cable and power plug for any damage. The water filler must not be opened during use.

  • Connect the power plug to an easily accessible mains socket so that the unit can be unplugged immediately, in the event of an emergency. To completely switch off the unit, unplug the power plug from the mains socket. Use the power plug as a unit-disconnecting device.

  • The power plug must be removed from the mains socket before filling the tank.

  • The iron should not be used if it has been dropped, there are visible signs of damage or it is leaking.

  • Always let the unit cool down out of the reach of children before putting it away.

  • The water filler must not be opened during use.

  • For added safety, we recommend the use of a differential circuit breaker (RCD) – with a tripping current that does not exceed 30mA – in the electrical circuit supplying power to your unit.

  • The iron should be used and placed on a flat, stable surface.

  • In order to protect the soleplate, do not glide it over any zips, rivets, buttons, etc. found on clothing.

  • When the iron is returned to its iron rest, make sure that the iron rest’s supporting surface is stable.

  • The iron should only be used with the iron rest provided.

  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the after-sales service or a qualified person in order to prevent any risks.

  • For instructions regarding how to safely fill the unit’s water tank, please refer to the “Use” paragraph of the usage manual.
