Safety instructions
- PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE UNIT AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
- Please take care to install this unit as specified in its instructions for use.
- The power plug must remain accessible or a switch must be installed in the fixed wiring, in accordance with the installation rules, in order to allow the unit to be disconnected from the mains supply at all times.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent any risks.
- Please refer to the unit’s instructions for use for details regarding its safe use, and precautions to take during user maintenance and cleaning operations.
- This unit may be used by children aged 8 years and above, persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, and persons with no experience of using or knowledge of the unit, provided they are supervised or receive prior instruction regarding how to safely use the unit and understand the risks involved. Children must not use the unit as a toy. Unsupervised children must not perform user cleaning and maintenance operations.
If your unit is equipped with a rotating brush or a hand-held accessory with rotating parts:
- CAUTION: There is a risk of the hand-held accessory with rotating parts getting jammed.
If the unit contains a conductive hose operating at voltages other than the ultra-low safety voltage:
- WARNING: This hose includes electrical connections:
- Do not use to vacuum water.
- Do not immerse in water for cleaning purposes.
- The hose should be checked regularly and should not be used if it is damaged.
For class III devices (cordless stick vacuum cleaners), excluding battery- powered devices if said battery is a cell or an accumulator battery charged outside the device:

* The unit should only be used with the provided power pack.
- The unit must only be supplied with a very low safety voltage that corresponds to the marking indicated on the unit.
For vacuum cleaners fitted with rotating brushes or similar devices:
- The power cable’s plug must be removed from the base before cleaning the unit or performing any maintenance operations.
For units equipped with a battery charged outside the unit:
- The reference number for the type of detachable power supply unit can be found on the charger sold with the unit, in addition to in the instructions for use.
- CAUTION : Only use the removable power supply provided with this unit to recharge the battery. Please refer to the instruction manual for charging information.
Specific instructions for units fitted with rechargeable batteries

If you plan on replacing your vacuum cleaner’s battery yourself (see the instructions for use):
- Consult the user manual to identify the battery type and learn the replacement method.
- WARNING! Do not use non-rechargeable batteries.
If your unit is powered by a battery charged directly inside the unit and cannot be replaced by the user (see the user guide):
- This unit contains batteries that can only be replaced by qualified personnel.
General recommendations for batteries:

* Do not disassemble, open or shred cells or batteries.

Keep batteries out of reach of children and pets. Children should be supervised when using batteries. More specifically, keep small batteries out of the reach of children.

Risk of chemical burns! Do not ingest the battery. If the battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns and lead to death, in the space of just 2 hours.

If a cell or battery is swallowed, please seek urgent medical attention.

Do not expose cells or batteries to heat or fire. Avoid storing directly under sunlight.

Do not short-circuit any cell or battery. Do not store cells or batteries haphazardly in a box or drawer, as they may short-circuit one another or be short-circuited by other metal objects.

Do not remove a cell or battery from its original packaging until it is ready for use.

Do not subject cells or batteries to mechanical shocks.

Should the battery leak, use a cloth to remove it from the battery compartment. Dispose of the battery according to regulations.

Should a cell leak, take care to prevent the liquid from coming into contact with the skin, eyes or mucous membranes.
Should it do so, wash the affected area with plenty of water and seek medical attention. -
Do not use any other charger than the one specifically intended for use with the unit.

Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) symbols on the cell, battery and unit, and make sure that everything has been installed correctly.

Do not use cells or batteries that are not designed for use with the unit.

Warning! Risk of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Only replace it with an identical or equivalent model.

Always purchase the battery recommended by the unit manufacturer for the hardware.

Do not mix different battery brands, capacities, sizes or types inside the unit.

Keep the cells and batteries clean and dry.

Should the cell or battery terminals become dirty, wipe them with a clean, dry cloth.

The batteries will need to be charged before use. Always use the correct charger and refer to the manufacturer’s instructions or unit’s manual for the correct charging instructions.

Do not leave a battery on charge for an extended period of time when not in use.

Batteries should be stored in cool, dry, well-ventilated areas.

After extended periods of storage, the batteries may need to be charged and discharged several times to obtain maximum performance.

Keep the original product documentation for future reference.

Only use the cell or battery for its intended application.
-
If possible, remove the battery from the unit when not in use and before disposing of the unit.

The unit must be disconnected from the mains before removing the battery.
-
Used batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
They must be taken to a recycling/collection site provided for this purpose.

Specific instructions for units equipped with a battery charger:
- Please refer to the user manual for the type, number and nominal capacity of the batteries that can be charged.
- CAUTION: Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries with the supplied charger.
- The battery should be placed in a ventilated area when charging.
- For indoor use. Do not expose to rain.
- This unit is intended for household use only. It is not suitable for use in similar applications, such as:
- The kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices and other work environments.
- Use in farms or by guests in hotels, motels and other residential-type environments.
- Bed and breakfast type environments.
- Catering and similar non-retail applications.
- This unit is solely intended for use in a domestic setting and not for commercial or industrial use.
- Remove all the packaging before installation.
- WARNING : Keep packaging materials and accessories out of the reach of children. Never allow children to play with the packaging or accessories.
- Check that the voltage indicated on the nameplate corresponds to the voltage in your home.
- The power cable should be checked regularly for signs of damage, and if the cable is damaged, the unit must not be used.
- Before first use, check that the filters have been correctly installed. Do not use the unit without the motor protection filter installed. Change the filters immediately if they are damaged. Do not use the unit if its filter(s) have not been installed correctly.
- Under no circumstances should the housing be opened. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the unit’s openings, and do not block the air vents.
- DANGER: Never use the unit outdoors.
- Do not use on a wet surface unless the instructions explicitly authorise such use.
- Do not use the vacuum cleaner on any person or animal.
- Do not leave the unit unattended whilst in use.
- Keep long hair, loose clothing, fingers and any other body parts away from openings and moving parts whilst the unit is in use.
- DANGER : Do not connect the unit to the mains with wet hands… you risk receiving an electric shock.
- WARNING – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
- Never immerse the unit, plug or power cable in water or any other liquid. Never use the unit with wet hands.
- DANGER: Do not expose the unit or its electrical components to rain, dripping water or splashes of water. Do not use the unit near a water source or in a very humid location (e.g. near a bathtub/pool or in a damp cellar, etc.).
- The power cable should be arranged in such a way that it does not touch any parts of the hob or nearby appliances that may get hot.
- Do not expose the unit to heat. Do not place the unit near heat sources, such as a stove or any other heating appliance.
- The power plug must remain accessible in order to allow the unit to be disconnected from the mains supply at all times. To disconnect the power cable, pull on the plug and not the cable itself.
- WARNING : Should the vacuum cleaner be equipped with an earthed plug, it must be connected to an earthed mains socket. Connect the unit to its own individual mains socket.
- The unit must not be connected via an extension cord or multi socket.
- Fully unwind the power cable before using the unit.
- CAUTION: Do not bend, crush or jam the power cable behind the unit.
- CAUTION: This unit must not be powered by an external switch, such as a timer, a separate remote control or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the electricity supplier.
- Never disassemble or modify the unit.
- Only use the accessories supplied with the unit.
- CAUTION: Always unplug your unit and let it cool down completely before each use, changing an accessory, cleaning it or putting it away.
- Any thorough cleaning and/or maintenance-related operation or accessory-changing intervention must be carried out with the unit’s power plug unplugged or after the power supply has been cut off.
- Should a malfunction occur that cannot be resolved by the information provided in the unit’s instructions for use, please contact the after-sales service.
- To preserve the unit and avoid dangerous situations, never vacuum up very fine dust particles – such as plaster or concrete – or liquids, wet substances, etc. Never vacuum up the following substances: explosive or flammable gases, liquids and dust (reactive dust), in addition to magnetic, toxic, flammable or combustible reactive metal dust (e.g. aluminium). Do not vacuum sharp, hot or incandescent objects at temperatures above 40°C, such as cigarettes or hot ashes.
- There is a risk of explosion with temperatures above 40°C. The waste may appear as if it has cooled down on the outside, while in fact, still being very hot on the inside. Do not use to vacuum ashes.
- Do not vacuum harmful dust. It is prohibited to use the unit in areas where there is a risk of explosion.
- To avoid damaging the unit, do not block the air inlet or outlet. Check that the suction surface of the filters, air inlets and air outlets are completely dry. Otherwise, the vacuum cleaner could become damaged.
- If your vacuum cleaner is equipped with a socket to power another device, please respect the maximum power indicated. Only connect a device with reinforced (double) insulation; i.e. doesn’t require an earthed socket.
- Do not use the unit if the plug or power cable is damaged, in the event of a malfunction or if the unit has been damaged in any way. Have it inspected and repaired by an after-sales service centre. No repairs should be carried out by the user.
- This appliance contains batteries that are non-replaceable.

This product is guaranteed against faults caused by defects in manufacturing or the materials used for a period of two years, starting from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by failure to install the device correctly, incorrect use of the product, or excessive wear and tear. proof of purchase required.
