Product usage

Assembly

  1. Turn the heater upside down and place it on a protected surface to avoid scratching it.
  2. Remove the 2 screws from the underside of the heater.
  3. Align the hole on the feet with the screw holes on the heater. The open edge of the feet should be facing outwards. Insert the screws and tighten them until they are securely fastened in place.
  4. Turn the heater upright.

Before using the product
WARNING!

  • Correctly connect the unit and do not leave it within the reach of unsupervised children.
  • It is normal for heaters to emit an odour and smoke when they are turned on for the first time or have not been used for a certain period of time. This will disappear after a short while.
  • The heater must always be placed in an upright position on a horizontal surface. If the heater tips over, turn it upright immediately.
  • Place the heater on a stable, heat-resistant and non-combustible horizontal surface that is at least 30 cm (sides and rear) and 50 cm (front) clear of objects such as walls, furniture and curtains.
  • Never place the heater below electrical sockets.
  • The heater is suitable for use in a 10-15 m² space, such as a living room or office.
  • Do not use the heater in a bathroom or near to a swimming pool or other body of water. The heater must never become wet. Do not use the heater in wet or humid conditions.
  • Make sure the air inlets are unobstructed. Do not cover the heater’s air inlet or outlet vents/grilles.

Operation

  1. Fully unwind the power cable.
  2. Check the heater’s rating plate for the correct voltage. Make sure the temperature dial is in the MIN position and the power dial is set to the off position (0). Connect the plug to a mains socket with a suitable voltage.
  3. Turn the temperature dial clockwise towards the MAX mark until you hear a clicking sound and the heater starts to work. Turn the temperature dial up to increase the temperature.
  4. Turn the power dial to select the power level: I (low), II (medium) or III (high).
  5. Turn the temperature dial anticlockwise towards the MIN mark to decrease the heater temperature.
  6. To turn the heater off, turn the temperature dial anticlockwise as far as it can go (MIN position) and turn the power dial to the off position (0). Unplug the unit from the mains socket.

NOTE:

  • When turning the temperature dial up, the clicking sound indicates that the thermostat is starting to work and the desired function is activated. Similarly, when turning the temperature dial down, the click indicates that the thermostat has turned off and the function is deactivated.

Heater safety features

  • The heater has a built-in overheating protection mechanism. A safety switch will cut off the power if the heater overheats (e.g. the air inlets/outlets are totally or partially blocked). Turn the power dial to the off position (0) and the temperature dial to the (MIN) position. Unplug the plug from the mains socket. Wait 30 minutes for the heater to cool down.
  • Remove the source of overheating (e.g. a blockage in the vent holes/grilles or excessive dust or dirt on the unit).
  • Turn the heater back on.

NOTE: If overheating continues or the unit repeatedly malfunctions, return the heater to an approved service centre.

Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING!

  • Before cleaning, always turn off and unplug the heater and allow it to cool down sufficiently.
  • Do not use flammable or abrasive detergents such as benzene or white spirit to clean the heater.
  • Never immerse the heater, power cable or plug in water.
  • Clean the exterior with a damp, soft cloth. Thoroughly dry the heater before using it again.
  • If you do not plan on using the heater for a long period of time, we recommend removing the feet and storing it in its original packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, excessive dust and dirt.
