HYUNDAI MC40E Electronics Minifridge
Dear customer, thank you for purchasing our product. Please read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep these instructions, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. The appliance is designed for short-term transport and cooling of food. It is not intended for long-term food storage.
SAFETY WARNING
- Consider the instructions in the user‘s manual as a part of the appliance and provide it t other users of the appliance.
- Check whether the data on the type label corresponds with the voltage in your socket. The power cord plug has to be connected to the properly connected and grounded socket according to the national standard.
- This appliance may only be used by children aged 8 years or older, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Children younger than 8 years must be kept out of reach of the appliance and its power cord.
- Always unplug the appliance from the power supply if you leave it unattended and before assembly, disassembly, or cleaning.
- If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, the cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, their service technician, or by a similarly qualified person, this will prevent the creation of a dangerous situation.
- Never use the appliance if the power cord or power plug is damaged, if it is not functioning correctly if it has fallen on the floor and been damaged or if it has fallen into water. In such cases take the appliance to a professional service center to verify its safety and correct function.
- CAUTION: Do not use the appliance with a program, time switch, or any other part that turns the appliance on automatically as there is a risk of fire if the appliance is not covered or placed properly.
- Do not plug the fork of the supply cord into the power outlet and do not unplug the cord with wet hands or by pulling the supply cord!
- Never immerse the appliance in water (even its parts)! Do not wash it under running water! Never expose the appliance to rain!
- It is very important that it will be possible to close the cover properly and that it is not damaged (bent). Neither hinges (fractured or released) nor sealing surfaces of the cover may be damaged.
- The appliance may be powered from the mains of 220-240 V (AC) or via the 12 V (DC) autoconnector. Use a corresponding supply cord for the selected method of supply. Always use only one method of supply and never both of them at once!
- In case of powering the appliance from a car battery, please check whether its voltage is 12 V with an earthed negative terminal.
- Never cover the appliance; thus you will prevent the risk of interior fire.
- Do not use the appliance in an environment saturated with explosive or flammable fumes.
- The appliance is intended for home use and similar (in shops, offices, and similar workplaces, in hotels, motels and other residential environments, in facilities providing accommodation with breakfast). It is not intended for commercial use!
- The appliance must not be used in areas where chemicals, paints, and other flammable, explosive, volatile, and harmful substances are used or stored.
- Use the appliance in the working position at places with no risk of turning over and in sufficient distance from flammable objects (e.g. curtains, drapes, wood, etc.), heat sources (e. g. heater, stove, etc.) and wet surfaces (e.g. sinks, wash–basins, etc.).
- Check the condition of the power cord of the appliance regularly.
- Never put the power cord on hot surfaces or do not let it hang over the edge of a table or a worktop. Plugging or pulling the power cord e.g. by children can result in tilting over or drawing the appliance down and serious injury!
- The power cord must not be damaged with sharp or hot objects or open fire, it must not be sunk into water or bent over sharp edges.
- Use only original spare parts.
- Make sure that there is enough space around the appliance to ensure its ventilation. Keep at least 10 cm of free space from the ventilator hole on the cover. Don’t cover the appliance to avoid its overheating.
- The appliance is suitable for outdoor camping. When using it outside, protect the appliance from unfavorable weather (e.g. moist, rain, snow, frost, direct sunlight, etc.).
- The appliance is not suitable for the transportation of corrosive or solvent-based substances.
- Food is allowed to be stored in its original packaging or suitable containers.
- Put liquids and ice into the car fridge only in suitable containers.
- Put unpackaged food in a suitable protective packaging before placing it into the car fridge.
- Do not fill the appliance with ice and do not pour any liquids into the inside (e.g. water).
- If you need to cool medicaments, make sure the cooling capacity of the appliance is sufficient for the specific drug.
- If you do not intend to use the appliance for a longer period, unplug it from the supply, empty its contents, and clean the inside.
- Use this appliance only for the purpose for which it was designed as specified in this user‘s manual. Never use the appliance for any other purpose.
- The manufacturer is not responsible for damage and injuries caused by improper use of the appliance and the accessories (e.g. food deterioration, injury, cutting) and its guarantee for the appliance does not apply in situations when the safety warnings above are not complied with.
DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTROLS
Mini refrigerator
- A1 – cover with a cooling unit
- A2 – rotary cap of the control elements and the space for the supply cords A3 – COLD/OFF/HOT switch
- A4 – ECO/OFF/MAX switch
- A5 – light signalization of operation
- A6 – car connector for the 12 V (DC) supply
- A7 – plug for the 220-240 V (AC) outlet
- A8 – holder for handling
- A9 – holder for handling and transporting
- A10 – wheels
- A11 – grated barrier
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Remove all the packaging material and take out the appliance. Remove any possible adhesion foils, stick-on labels or paper from the appliance. Place the assembled appliance on a flat, steady, smooth and clean surface at a height, out of the reach of children (see sec. I. SAFETY WARNING). Leave enough space to ensure sufficient ventilation. Make sure that the power supply cord is not damaged and that it is not led underneath the appliance or over any sharp or hot surfaces. Select a method of supply of the mini refrigerator: 12 V (DC) or 220-240 V (AC), and use a corresponding supply cord. The space inside the mini refrigerator may be divided using barrier A11 (Fig. 2 ). Thanks to the wheels, the refrigerator may be easily transported (Fig. 3).
Attention
- If you intend to use the car fridge in a car, we recommend turning it off when turning off the engine. Otherwise, there is a risk of the car battery getting discharged when connected for a longer period of time without the engine running.
- Do not switch directly from one operating mode into the other (HOT-COLD or COLD-HOT). This may cause inner body deformation. If you would like to change the operating mode, turn the appliance off. Wait about 30 minutes before you switch it to the other operating mode.
COLD/OFF/HOT (A3) switch
- „COLD“ position – switch over to the cooling function
- „OFF“ position – switch-off of the appliance
- „HOT“ position – switch over to the heating mode
ECO/OFF/MAX (A4) switch
- „ECO“ position – switch over to the ECO mode – use in 220-240 V (AC)
- „OFF“ position – switch-off of the appliance
- „MAX“ position – switch over to the maximum power mode
Remarks
- The lowest temperature, which may be achieved inside the mini refrigerator, depends on ambient temperature and on the volume of food to be cooled. Food may be cooled to a temperature up to 18 °C lower than ambient temperature.
- Food may be heated and kept at a temperature of about 50-60 °C in the heating mode.
- To ensure maximum effect, we recommend that you insert cooled/heated food into the refrigerator depending on the used function (cooling/heating).
- After using, we recommend that you switch both switches (A3, A4) into the „OFF“ position.
- The standby mode is primarily used to maintain the temperature. To ensure the best effect of cooling/ heating, use the maximum power.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean the appliance with a damp cloth only. Make sure water does not get into the inner parts! Keep the appliance clean. Do not use any coarse and aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. sharp objects, scrapers, thinners or other solvents)! Do not wash the appliance under running water or in a dishwasher.

Keep the energy label together with user manual and all other documentation supplied with this appliance. CUSTOMER CARE AND SERVICE
Always use original spare parts. When contacting our authorized service or information line, make sure you have the following information available: the model name (product number) and serial number (SN). This information can be found on the type plate (or on a separate label near it). * The manufacturer reserves the right for change without prior notice. Original spare parts for particular selected components of the product are available at least 7 or 10 years from the launch of the last piece of the appliance on the market (depending on the type of the component). Service
- Any electrical work required to do the servicing of the appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.
- This product must be serviced by an authorized Service Center, and only genuine spare parts must be used.
