  • Keep in mind that in the extraction mode, your hood removes air from the room. Make sure to ensure proper ventilation.
The extraction function removes odors from the room, but not water vapor.

  • Do not connect the duct of this appliance to an existing ventilation system used for other purposes.

  • Do not install the hood over a cooktop with a raised grill.

  • Never leave a pan unattended during cooking as overheated grease or oil may ignite.

  • Do not attempt to use the hood if it is damaged in any way. Never try to use the hood without its grease filters or if its other filters are excessively greasy!

  • There is a risk of fire if the hood is not cleaned according to the instructions.

  • Do not blaze food under the hood.

  • Do not connect the hood to the same outlet or circuit as any other electrical device, to prevent the circuit from being overloaded, which may cause a fire.

  • Before cleaning the appliance, turn it off and unplug it.

  • Be caref ul not to compress the power cord.

  • If the unit is broken, never attempt to use, disassemble or repair it yourself. Send it immediately to an authorized service center for repair by specialized personnel.

  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its aftersales service or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  • Proper ventilation of the room should be provided when a range hood is used simultaneously with appliances that use gas or other fuel (does not apply to appliances that only return air to the room).

  • Air must not be sent into a flue used to vent flue gases from appliances that use gas or other fuels (does not apply to appliances that only return air to the room).

  • The regulations concerning the evacuation of the air must be respected.

  • This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age or older and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacity or lack of experience or knowledge, if they are properly supervised or if instructions for the safe use of the device have been given to them and the risks involved have been apprehended.

  • Children should not play with the appliance.

  • Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by unattended children.

CAUTION
Accessible parts of this appliance may become hot when used with cooking appliances.

WARNING
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF GREASE FIRE ON THE COOKTOP:

  • Never leave cooktops unattended when used at high power.
  • If food overflows during cooking, it can cause fumes and grease splashes that can ignite. Heat the oils slowly over low or medium lame.
  • Always turn the hood on when cooking at high power.
  • Clean the ventilation fans frequently. Make sure that the grease does not accumulate on the fans or filters.
  • Use proper size cooking cookware. Always use cookware appropriate to the size of the heating elements.

CAUTION: Failure to follow instructions for installing screws or fasteners may result in electrical hazards.

CAUTION
USE EXCLUSIVELY FOR GENERAL VENTILATION. DO NOT USE TO EXTRACT HAZARDOUS MATERIALS OR VAPORS.
CAUTION Accessible parts of this appliance may become hot when used with cooking appliances.

Before installing the hood:

  1. For the air extraction to be as efficient as possible, use a straight duct or with a minimum of elbows.
    CAUTION
The exhaust duct of the appliance must imperatively and exclusively open to air.

  2. Number of technicians recommended for the installation: 2 to 3.

  3. Use appropriate wall plugs and screws on the wall where the hood is to b e installed. Ask a qualified installer or technician to select the right dowels and screws for your ceiling.

  4. In a cold climate, it is advisable to install an additional check valve to minimize cold air return, as well as a nonmetallic thermal barrier to minimize heat transfer by conduction to the outside. The valve must be installed on the side of the thermal barrier where the air is cold. The thermal barrier must also be installed as close as possible to the point where the duct enters the heated part of the building.

WARNING
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, USE ONLY METAL DUCTWORK.
Install this hood in accordance with all specified requirements.

CAUTION
To reduce the risk of fire and extract air effectively, make sure the exhaust duct faces out. The extraction mouth must not be open on a space between two walls, ceilings, attics, reduced spaces or garages.
Warning: Failure to install the screw fastener or to observe these instructions may result in electrical hazards.

Maintenance and cleaning

USE AND MAINTENANCE
We recommend that you turn on the hood before you start cooking.
To completely evacuate fumes and odors, it is also recommended to let the appliance run for 15 minutes after the end of cooking.
The correct operation of the hood is conditioned by the regularity of the maintenance, in particular that of the activated charcoal filter.
The grease filters retain the grease particles in suspension, so they can become dirty depending on the frequency of use of the appliance.
To avoid any risk of fire, it is recommended to clean the filter at least every two months, according to the following instructions.

  • Remove the filters from the hood and wash them in a solution of water and neutral liquid detergent after allowing them to soak.
  • Rinse thoroughly with hot water and allow to dry.

It is possible that the color of the aluminum parts will fade after a few washes. This cannot result in any claim on your part. These parts are not reusable or washable and must be replaced at least every four months. The saturation of the activated charcoal filter depends on the more or less prolonged use of the hood, the type of cooking and the regular cleaning of the grease filter.

Clean the other surfaces of the hood regularly, using a cloth dampened with denatured alcohol or a non-abrasive detergent.

The efficiency of the hood is conditioned by the cleanliness of the air inlet and of the filter.
The frequency of cleaning depends on the quantity and type of food cooked.

WARNING
To protect against fire and explosion hazards, do not use solvents or flammable liquids.
Always unplug the unit from the power supply before cleaning.

WARNING
Make sure the hood has cooled down completely, including its filter and lamp, and that the grease is in solid form before cleaning any of its parts.

Disassemble the metal grease filter:

  • Turn off the suction and the lamp.
  • Detach the grease filter by unlocking it.

Clean the metal grease filter:

  • It is recommended to wash the filter at least once a month. You can wash it by hand.
  • Wait until the filter has completely dried before reassembling it.

Replacing the charcoal filter

  • Remove the base cover by turning the 2 sliding parts inwards.
  • Detach the grid.
  • Replace the CF152 charcoal filter.

REPLACING THE BULB
Important:

  • The bulb must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a qualified person.

  • Always turn off the power before performing any operations on the unit. While handling the bulb, make sure it is completely cool before direct
    contact with your hands.

  • When handling the bulb, always use a cloth or gloves to make sure that perspiration does not come in contact with the bulb as this can reduce its life.
