Safety Informations

Usage

  • This wireless backup camera system(VMW7/ VMW7-2C/ VMW7-4C)is designed to help the driver safely detect people and/or objects helping to avoid damage or injury. However, you the driver, must use it properly. Use of this system is not a substitute for safe, proper or legal driving.
  • Never back up/driving while looking at the monitor alone. You should always check behind and around the vehicle when backing up/driving, in the same way as you would if the vehicle did not have the rear view camera system.
  • Please, always remember, the area displayed by the rear view camera system is limited. It does not display the entire panorama that is behind you.
  • The monitor is not designed to be waterproof. Exposure to water, such as rain, may damage the unit.

Installation

  • Electric shock or product malfunction may occur if this product is installed incorrectly.
  • Please use this product within the voltage range(12-24V) specified. Failure to do so can cause electronic shock or product malfunction.
  • Take special care when cleaning the monitor.
  • Make sure to firmly affix the product before use.
  • If smoke or a burning smell is detected, disconnect the system immediately.
  • Where the power cable may touch a metal case, cover the cable with a friction tape. A short circuit or disconnected wire may cause a fire.
  • Do not install the monitor where it may obstruct drivers view or obstruct an air bag device.
  • Do not mount the antenna touch with metal material, which will interfere with the signal. If the signal is not good, please replace the antenna of the camera with the extended antenna.

Getting Started

Test the system

To ensure the system works properly after installation, all components should be tested and checked before installation.

ATTENTION: Please Install the antenna on the monitor and camera before test or use.

  1. Refer to the component page to check whether the component is missing. We do not rule out that some components may be damaged in the case of violent loading and unloading during transportation. If so, please contact us in time.
  2. Connect the DC power cable to the monitor, the positive and negative terminals to 12-24v voltage, then the power button on the monitor will turn red, press the power button, all buttons into blue back light, indicating the successful test of the display, can work normally.
  3. Connect the other DC power cable(s) to the wireless backup camera(s), restart the power supply of the monitor, and the image will appear on the monitor, so the backup camera Is working properly. If not, please refer to the troubleshooting.

Before Beginning installation

  • As the camera (s) needs to be fixed on the vehicle, it may need to drill a hole on your car, before drilling
    please measure the size of boreholes and check that no cable or wiring is on the other side of the wall.

  • Please clamp all wires securely to reduce the possibility of them being damaged while vehicle is in use.

  • Keep all cables away from hot or moving parts and electrical noisy components.

ATTENTION

  • Please Install the antenna on the monitor and camera(s) before test or use.
  • Attach camera to bracket using screws provided and adjust the angle.
  • Be sure to position the cable properly. The camera cable uses waterproof connectors which means the camera cable can be exposed to all weather elements.
  • Do not run the cable over sharp edges, do not kink the cable and keep away from HOT and rotating parts.
  • Feed as much cable as possible into vehicle & clamp securely. This reduces the possibility of cable being hooked or snagged.
  • Attach the monitor to mount, and adjust mounting angle to allow optimum driver viewing comfort.
  • The camera system can be wired to be powered “ON” the entire time the vehicle is on. This is typical in RV and some commercial applications.

Powered The Monitor By Circuit Fuse

If you don’t want to use car cigarette lighter to power the monitor, you can choose to a direct connection to the power supply by the power cord, follow these steps:

  1. Find the car circuit fuse box(according your car user manual) under your car cab.
  2. Then according to the labels on the fuse hardwire kit, and put the corresponding power fuse connect to the corresponding trigger line(voltage must between 12-24V).

Camera Installation

  1. Find the best installation position to install backup camera(s) on your vehicle.
  2. Remove the cameras) U-shaped bracket, mark the hole position with a marker pen, then drilling, after the hole is finished, route the terminal wire of the camera through it and install the screw of the backup camera.
  3. Be sure to use the vibration gasket when installing the camera. It is package with the camera hex wrench.

Mount the Monitor

  1. Find the best installation position to install monitor in your vehicle.

  2. Firstly please fix the screws with and let fan shaped bracket tight.

  3. Secondly put the metal buckle piece on the too of the fan-shaped bracket into the notch at the back of the monitor.

  4. Move the bracket to the proper location.

  5. Fix the big screws of the bracket and keep the monitor tight.
    Mount the Monitor

  6. If you want to change the direction or angle of the monitor, firstly to loosen the screws on the bottom of the bracket. Then move the monitor to the desired location then fix the screws on the bottom of the bracket again.

Activate the Camera

Connect the 2-pin BM connector on the camera(s) to the power cord(s), then connect the power cord to power supply(reversing light or running light) start the vehicle and activate the backup camera(s).

Camera Pairing

ATTENTION

According to the guidance on the user manual, power the monitor and camera can make this backup camera system working, but we do not rule out individual signal interference or other reasons lead to pairing disconnect between the camera and monitor, although this special rarely happens, if it happened, please refer to the corresponding models of matching methods:

Firstly, the antennas on the monitor and camera(s) must be fully installed and not in contact with the metal on the vehicle body, then keep the camera as close to the monitor as possible and power the monitor and camera(s).

VMW7: Press and hold the pairing button until appearing images on the display, then release the button, pairing operation completed.

VMW7.2C/4C: Adjust the split images to the single image display by gently pressing the pairing button, then press and hold the pairing button until appearing images on the display under the single image, then release the button, The CH1 channel pairing completed, then gently pressing the pair button change to CH2, press and hold the pairing button until appearing images on the display, The same goes for the quad split system VMW7-4C, and so on until all channels pairing operation completed.

(NOTE: You can only get the camera pairing one by one, so don’t power all cameras when you pair them up. Please power up each camera you pairing up one by one).

Care and Maintenance

Please do not use solvents or chemicals to clean or wipe the camera. If necessary, use a soft cloth dipped in neutral detergent to clean the dirt or stains.

Disposal
The system is designed to provide years of service and should be recycled or safety disposed of at a local recycling center.

The black wire (GND) is not connected properly| Please check and make sure if the GND wire (black Wire) is properly connected. Please use a chassis ground post.
The red power wire is not connected properly| Please check and make sure if the hot wire (Red power wire) is properly connected.

  • Vesicles products’ warranties are not transferable. The warranties apply to the retail consumer for one (1) year and covers against defects in material and quality. Cables are not warrantied.
