Important Safety Instructions
Please read this guidance carefully before using your fan heater, so that you
can use it correctly. Please keep well with this guidance.
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.
WARNING: POTENTIAL ELECTRICAL HAZARD IF NOT ADHERED TO.
- This heater must be plugged into a 120V, 15amp (or more) circuit of its own. Do not plug anything else into the same circuit. If unsure if your home meets this specification, consult a certified electrician before use. Risk of fire, overheating, malfunction, property damage, injury, or even death may result if not adhered to!
- Plug the heater on a properly grounded outlet only. Do not plug it on extension cords, surge protectors, timers, direct breakers, or an outlet with other appliances connected to the same outlet. There are risks of fire, overheating, malfunction, property damage, injury, or even death that may result if not adhered to!
- The heater surface is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not touch the heater surfaces with your hands.
- Keep the combustible materials (furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains) at least 3ft. from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and back of the heater.
- Extreme caution is necessary when the heater is used by children, invalids, pets, or the heater is left operating unattended.
- Always unplug the heater when not in use.
- Do not use the heater with any damage, such as a worn cord or plug, or any heater with malfunctions after been dropped. Please contact the seller for resolution options.
- Do not use the heater outdoors. Exposure to outdoor elements such as rain, snow, sun, wind, or any extreme temperatures may cause a safety hazard.
- This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, or moisture indoor locations, or any extended outlets.
- Never place the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water receptacles.
- Do not run the cord under the carpet. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas and where it will not be tripped over.
- The heater must be plugged into a wall outlet that is a dedicated circuit with a minimum 15amp rating on that individual circuit.
- To disconnect the heater, first, switch the power button to the OFF status, then you can remove the plug from the wall outlet.
- Do not let any objects enter or block any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause electric shock, fire, or damage the heater.
- Leave at least 3 ft. of unobstructed space to the front and rear of the heater to allow for maximum heat, air, and ventilation flow.
- Inner parts of the heater might slightly hot arcing or sparking. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored, nor use flammable solvents to clean the heater. Keep the heater dry at all times.
- Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- Do not use abrasive solvents to clean the heater, in case it causes any damage to the finish or casing.
- To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use it on any soft surfaces, like a bed or carpet where the opening may become blocked.
- Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
- Do not unplug the heater when the unit is still ON, as the vent grill will be hot.
- Shut off the switch of the heater and wait 10 minutes before unplugging from the wall.
Safety Protection Feature
Overheating Protection
This heater is equipped with an overheat safety feature. When the internal
components of the heater reach a certain temperature that could cause
overheating or possible fire, the heater will automatically shut off. If the
heater has been overheated, you will need to unplug the heater from the wall
and re-plug it to use the heater
again.
Tip-Over Protection
This heater is equipped with a tip-over switch on the bottom. When the heater
is tilted or the base is off the ground, the heater will automatically shut
down. We recommend that you place the heater on a flat floor or desk, and do
not put it on an uneven carpet which may trigger the tip-over switch.
Thermostat Function
This heater is equipped with a thermostat, which allows you to control the
temperature. It will get the heater automatically adjust according to your Set
temperature and the Environment temperature. For example, if the Environment
temperature is 82℉:
- When the Set temperature(80℉) is equal to or lower than the Environment temperature, the appliance will stop heating and turn to fan mode.
- When the Set temperature(85℉) is higher than the Environment temperature, the appliance will turn to low heat mode.
- When the Set temperature(90℉) is higher or equal to the Environment temperature+5℉ or +6℉, the appliance will turn to high heat mode.
Note: ℉ display will be ±1℉ deviation.
Cautions
WARNING: TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL SHOCK, MATCH THE WIDE BLADE OF THE PLUG TO THE WIDE SLOT OF THE RECEPTACLE AND FULLY INSERT.
WARNING: It is normal for the power cord to get hot at work. However, a poor connection or loose fit between the outlet and the plug may cause overheating of the plug. If this occurs, try inserting the plug into a different outlet. Contact a qualified electrician to inspect the original outlet for damage.
