IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

When using this electric unit, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  1. Read ALL instructions before using this unit.

  2. CAUTION : Risk of Electric Shock. DO NOT open or try to repair the heater yourself.

  3. This heater may get hot when in use. To avoid burns, DO NOT let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handle(s) when moving this heater. DO NOT place it against walls, furniture, curtains, etc.

  4. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothes, and curtains at least 3 ft from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides, top, and rear. DO NOT place towels or other objects on the heater.

  5. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used.

  6. DO NOT operate any heater with a damaged cord or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to an authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.

  7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, showers or swimming pools and similar locations.

  8. NEVER locate a heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT immerse in water or other liquids.

  9. DO NOT touch the control panel or plug with a wet hand.

  10. DO NOT run the cord under the carpeting. DO NOT cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange the cord away from traf c area and where it will not be tripped over.

  11. DO NOT insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or are, or damage the heater.

  12. To prevent a possible re, DO NOT block the air intakes or exhaust in any manner. DO NOT use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.

  13. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. DO NOT use in areas where gasoline, paint, explosive, and/or flammable liquids are used or stored. Keep unit away from heated surfaces and open flames.

  14. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).

  15. To avoid ARE or shock hazards, plug the unit directly into a 120 V AC electrical outlet.

  16. To disconnect the heater, turn the controls to OFF, then remove the plug from the outlet. Pull firmly on the plug, DO NOT unplug by pulling on the cord.

  17. Always unplug the unit before moving or cleaning, or whenever the heater is not in use.

  18. Use only for intended household use as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause are, electric shock, or injury to persons.
    The use of attachments not recommended or sold by unauthorized dealers may cause hazards.

  19. Always use on a dry, level surface. Use on FLoor only.

  20. DO NOT use outdoors.

  21. WARNING : To reduce the risk of are or electric shock,
    DO NOT use this unit with any solid-state speed control device.

  22. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void your warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user-serviceable parts.

Overheat Safety Feature

This heater is equipped with an overheat safety feature. When the heater’s internal components reach a certain temperature that could cause overheating and possibly, the heater will automatically shut off.

  • A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating. When an “overheat” temperature is reached, the heater will automatically shut off. The operation can resume only when the user resets the unit.
  • Follow the below steps to reset the unit:
  1. Turn the Power Switch to the “ON” position, and turn the Thermostat Control Dial to the “OFF” position.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Allow the heater to cool down for at least ten minutes.
  4. Ensure that both intake and exhaust vents are clear of obstructions.
  5. Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
  6. Turn on the Power Switch, and then turn the Thermostat Control Dial to the highest setting.

It is normal for the power cord to feel warm to the touch; however, a loose t between the outlet and the plug may cause overheating of the plug. If this occurs, try inserting the plug into a different outlet. Contact a qualified electrician to inspect the original outlet for damage.

Instruction For Assembly

Remove the heater and all the accessories from the box.

  1. Turn the heater upside down.
  2. Slide the Base Feet on the fins end in show in above Image.
  3. Turn the heater right side up.
  4. Check the stability of the heater by standing it on a smooth level surface.

WARNING

  • DO NOT open or refill/change oil fins.
  • Oil fins are permanently sealed and DO NOT require refilling or oil changing. Attempting to open the fins will damage the unit. This unit is filled with a non-toxic mineral oil.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Place the product on a firm, level surface.

  2. Plug the unit directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

  3. Turn the POWER SWITCH to the “ON” position.

  4. Turn the THERMOSTAT CONTROL DIAL to “LOW”.

  5. For faster heat-up or to increase heat output, turn the THERMOSTAT CONTROL DIAL clockwise to the “HIGH”.
    The thermostat function controls the temperature output. To decrease the heat output, turn the THERMOSTAT CONTROL DIAL counterclockwise.

  6. Once the room reaches the desired temperature, slowly turn the THERMOSTAT CONTROL DIAL counterclockwise until you hear a “click”. This sets the heater to cycle ON/OFF to maintain the desired heating temperature for energy efficiency.

  7. It will normally require approximately 15 minutes to reach operating temperature.

NOTICE
When the heat function is used for the first time, a slight odor may be present. This is normal and should not occur again unless the heater is not used for an extended period.

WARNING
DO NOT cover the heater at any time during operation, as there is a risk of FIRE if the heater is covered.

MAINTENANCE

  1. Turn the POWER SWITCH to the “OFF” position.
  2. Unplug the unit and let it cool completely.
  3. To keep the heater clean, the outer shell may be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. A mild detergent can be used if necessary.
  4. After cleaning, dry the unit with a soft cloth.
  5. Wait until the unit is completely dry before use.

WARNING

  1. DO NOT let the liquid enter the heater.

  2. DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, abrasive powders, furniture polish, or rough brushes to clean the heater.
    This may cause damage or deterioration to the surface of the heater.

  3. DO NOT immerse the heater in water.

STORAGE

  1. Save the original box for off-season storage.
  2. Clear the heater with a soft, damp cloth.
  3. Remove the Base Feet.
  4. Place the Radiator and Base Feet in the original box, and store them in a cool and dry place.
  5. Ensure the heater is covered to protect it from the dust.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the heater will not operate, please check the following:

  1. Check if the power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet. If not, plug in the unit to the appropriate outlet.
  2. Ensure the POWER SWITCH is turned to the “ON” position.
  3. Make sure the heater is placed on a flat solid surface.
  4. Check for obstructions at the intake and exhaust vents.
    • If obstructions are present, refer to the instructions for resetting your heater when the Overheat Protection System has been activated.
    • If no obstructions are present, and your heater still does not operate normally, turn the POWER SWITCH to the “OFF” position, disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet, and consult an authorized repair technician.

NOTICE
The product is equipped with an overheat safety feature protector which will switch off the heater in case of accidental overheating.

WARRANTY

AIR CHOICE warrants this product against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the original purchaser ( “VVarranty Period” Ifa defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its option, AIRCHOICE will either 1 ) repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or 2) replace the product with a new product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or provide a store credit in the amount Of the purchase price Of the original product. A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part installed following instructions provided by AIRCHOICE, assumes the remaining warranty Of the original product. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes AIR CHOICE’s property.
