Troubleshooting
I updated my windows and now Razer Synapse no longer detects my Razer
devices and it does not show the correct product configurator. How can I fix it?
If you encounter this, perform Synapse update through Settings > Check for Updates. If the updates are not able to run or Synapse not able to load, uninstall Synapse and download the latest Synapse Framework from Razer support site.
My Razer Chroma Mouse does not display the Chroma SDK effects when playing

To display the Chroma SDK effects on your Razer Chroma Mouse, ensure that you have the latest MS Windows hotfix “Update for the Universal C Runtime in Windows” installed.
My Razer mouse does not work on my multi-colored mouse pad, what can I do?
This is a common issue for Razer mice with the calibration feature which is designed to function on a surface with a certain level of uniformity. You can either switch off the calibration feature or change to a non-multi colored mouse pad. You can check our mouse mats to find considerable options.
Check your mouse specs to know if it has the calibration feature and if the issue persists, contact our Online Chat Support.
When I boot up my computer and log into windows, my Razer mouse is not
responding and requires to be unplugged or replugged to work. How can I fix this?
The mouse is dependent on the motherboard. Check the power savings settings and disable it. Also, check the USB speed settings and set it to Full or Low- speed settings.
How do I change the settings of my Razer Basilisk?
To change the settings of your Razer Basilisk including changing key binds, lighting, macros, and other functions, download and install Razer Synapse 3.
How do I use the “Surface Calibration” tool to adjust the mouse to my
specific mouse pad and gaming style?
The Auto-Calibration feature is available on specific models of Razer mice. The auto-calibration feature on the mouse is set to “ON” by default. When plugging your mouse into your system, your mouse should be sitting on the surface you want to use your mouse on for it to calibrate properly to that surface. The distance to which you want the mouse to cut off tracking is adjustable through the software package that comes with the mouse.
Note: Check first if your Razer mouse has the Surface Calibration feature before trying anything.
How to use the On-The-Fly sensitivity function on my Razer mouse?
If a button has been assigned with “On-the-fly sensitivity”, press and hold it while scrolling up or down, this will pop-up a bar on the bottom right-hand corner of your screen allowing you to adjust the sensitivity settings.

What is Hybrid On-board and Cloud Storage?
Hybrid On-board and Cloud Storage enable you to save your customized profiles not only onto the Cloud but also directly onto your Razer Basilisk as well, so you can access them easily even on computers that do not have Razer Synapse 3 installed or do not have access to the Internet.
Can I change the clutch function of my Razer Basilisk?
Yes, you can program the clutch settings via Razer Synapse 3.0 to a function of your choice. This gives you full control of the clutch function for optimal gaming performance.
What is the clutch for?
Deliberately shaped like a clutch rather than a traditional button, the easily accessible clutch is designed not only to actuate and release quickly but also for enhanced comfort when held down; as opposed to traditional buttons that are intended for quick click-and-release. Push-to-talk, temporary DPI adjustment and other game actions that require the gamer to hold down the mouse button can now be executed in greater comfort.
The clutch comes in two lengths for different hand sizes and its default setting is to adjust the DPI to 800 when held down. A rubber cap is also included for gamers who prefer not to use the clutch. Like other programmable buttons, the clutch can be customized in Razer Synapse 3.
What is the dial at the bottom of the mouse for?
Designed specifically to cater to FPS gamers who bind game actions to their scroll wheel, the Razer Basilisk comes with a range of customizable scroll wheel resistances to choose from. Using a dial on the bottom of the mouse, FPS gamers will be able to set the scroll wheel at their preferred resistance level for activation of bunny hops, weapon selection and more.

This button lets you cycle through up to four on-board profiles stored on your Razer Basilisk via the Hybrid On-Board and Cloud Storage feature of Razer Synapse 3.

Does the Razer Basilisk feature Mouse Acceleration?
No. Synapse 3 does not have mouse acceleration built into the platform. It can only be configured in Synapse 2.0.
How do I adjust the DPI setting?
Out-of-the-box, you can make basic changes to the DPI of your Razer Basilisk on-the-fly via the DPI buttons located behind the scroll wheel. You can also temporarily reduce the DPI by holding down on the clutch of the Razer Basilisk. Once you have installed Razer Synapse or the upcoming Razer Synapse 3, you will have access to more DPI options.
