Simple set up using the CYNC App

Unlock full features and connect to other CYNC devices.

  STEP 1
Screw in and power on your Full Color Direct Connect Outdoor PAR38.

STEP 2
Download the Cync App, powered by Savant, on your smartphone.

STEP 3
Add your device to the Cync App.
TIP: Check out the next page to make sure your bulb is in range of your Wi-Fi.

STEP 4 (OPTIONAL)
Easily connect your smart bulb to your Amazon Alexa- or Hey Google-enabled device in the Cync App.

Install Your Smart BulbWithin Range

For better app responsiveness, place your Full Color Direct Connect Outdoor PAR38 within 40 feet of your Wi-Fi router or another Cync or C by GE smart device.

• Wall thickness and interference may impact range.
• To ensure your Direct Connect Outdoor PAR38 is within Wi-Fi range, make sure your Wi-Fi network appears on your phone where you plan to install your bulb.

Get started using the Google Home app

Seamless set up—just say “Hey Google.”
Seamlessly set up and control your Cync smart lights and plugs in the Google Home app.
Start with the Cync App when pairing to other Cync or C by GE devices, then enable Hey Google.

• STEP 1
  Screw in and power on your Full Color Direct Connect Outdoor PAR38.

• STEP 2
  Open the Google Home app on your smartphone.

• STEP 3
  Click the notification to set up device, and select the Full Color Direct Connect Outdoor PAR38 Smart Bulb.

• STEP 4
  Assign your smart bulb to a room.

Requirements:

• Free Google Home app and an active Google account. Working internet connection over Wi-Fi.
• One of the following compatible Hey Google-enabled devices: Google Home, Google Home Mini, Nest Mini, Nest Hub Max, Nest Hub, Google Home Max, Nest Wifi

Get started using Amazon Frustration Free Setup

Set up as simple as “Alexa, discover my devices.”
If you selected Frustration Free Setup during checkout, easily pair your Cync smart lights and plugs with your Alexa voice assistant. Start with the Cync App when pairing to other Cync or C by GE devices, then enable the Alexa voice assistant.

• STEP 1
  Screw in and power on your Full Color Direct Connect Outdoor PAR38.

• STEP 2
  If Alexa says, “New light found,” you can begin using your light with Alexa. Otherwise, go to Step 3.

• STEP 3
  Say, “Alexa, discover my devices.” Once your light is discovered, you can begin using your light with Alexa.

Requirements:
Your new Cync smart lights must be pre-linked to your Amazon Alexa account prior to shipping by selecting Frustration Free Setup.
If they weren’t pre-linked, simply set up your Cync smart lights in the Cync App, and then connect to Amazon Alexa to enable voice control.
