General Information
-
Thank you for choosing a Petermann product.
-
Please read the user manual carefully before using the product for the first time!
-
The current understanding in modern occupational health and safety is that people in nursing professions experience significant work-related physical strain. Back injuries are common.
-
There are many situations in which a patient has to be transferred from a bed, a wheeled stretcher, an ambulance stretcher, an X-Ray table, or a wheelchair to a different stretcher or seat.
The strain on the user and the patient / care-dependent can be reduced significantly through the use of sliding mats. -
The use of transfer aids should be conditional upon the user has learned to use the equipment properly.
-
The user has to decide for themselves what equipment is suitable to the patient’s situation and the intended sequence of movements.
-
The Leg Belt is part of a product range with a wide range of possible applications.
-
This product is used in particular when transferring seated patients in hospitals and other health care facilities as well as home care settings.
-
The product may only be used for the specified purpose and under the specified conditions.
-
The information in this user manual is for the patient who is being transferred and moved, as well as the user performing the transfer/position change.

Ensure that the product is in sound condition and that the material and the seams are not damaged.
