USER MANUAL
FOREWORD
We thank you for choosing our product. It is designed for you according to the
highest quality standards. Please read the operation manual carefully before
using and operating the unit to ensure that you receive maximum performance
and long term reliability. Heed all warnings. If the device is passed on to
another person, this manual must be handed over to the user along with it.
Please keep this manual handy for future reference.
INTENDED USE
- The compressor cooler is specifically designed for tough off-road conditions and is suitable for both cooling and freezing food and beverages.
- Your compressor cooler is designed to operate on a 12 V DC or 24 V DC supply from a vehicle, boat or caravan and 220-240 V AC at home, in the office. It comes in handy for temporary in-vehicle, camping, caravanning and leisure use.
- The compressor cooler is not designed for permanent installation and should not be used as such.
- This appliance is only intended for private use and is not suitable for professional operation.
- The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage resulting from improper usage or incorrect operation or non-compliance with this manual.
SAFETY WARNINGS

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Children aged from 3 to 8 years are allowed to load and unload refrigerating appliances.

The supply cords should be regularly examined for damage or deterioration. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Do not use the supply cord if broken as this may result in electric shock or fire.

The appliance is suitable for camping use.

Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance.

WARNING: Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

WARNING: When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged.

CAUTION: If you wish to cool medicines, ensure if the cooling capacity of the compressor cooler is adequate.

The appliance shall not be exposed to rain.

WARNING : Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.

WARNING: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process.

WARNING: Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance.

To avoid contamination of food, please respect the following instructions:
♦ Opening the door for long periods can cause a significant increase of the temperature in the compartments of the appliance.
♦ Clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact with food and accessible drainage systems.
♦ Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the refrigerator, so that it is not in contact with or drip onto other food.
♦ If the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long periods, switch off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to prevent mould developing within the appliance. -
Do not move the appliance while it is operating, plugged in or filled with wine bottles.

Always position the power cord so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in it.

Unwind the supply cord completely before use.
DO NOT use the appliance while the power cord is coiled as this may cause overheating. Do not bend, EN stretch or pull the supply cable in order to avoid electric shock. -
Ensure the rated voltage shown on the rating label corresponds with the voltage of the power supply.

Connect the mains plug to an easily accessible socket, in order to quickly disconnect the appliance from the mains supply in an emergency.

NEVER pull the plugs out of sockets using the cable, or pull on the cables to manoeuvre the device.
-
To disconnect the device from the mains, remove the plug completely by pulling the plug.

CAUTION: Do not open the housing under any circumstances. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects in any opening of the appliance and do not obstruct the air vents. The unit should have good ventilation. Do not run the cooling device in a closed compartment such as a car boot. The ventilation slots shall be kept clear for the unit to work properly and prevent dangerous overheating.
Do not cover the appliance. -
When used in high ambient temperature or humidity, condensation may collect inside the unit.
Wipe dry with a suitable cloth. -
NEVER fill the unit with water or ice. DO NOT immerse the unit in water. Do not touch with wet hands. Do not use near water.

DO NOT place the cooler in direct sunlight or enclosed space where ventilation is restricted, or where there are other heat sources.

Do not expose to rain, wet and damp conditions.
-
Do not operate the cooling device if it is visibly damaged.

Disconnect the unit while the vehicle’s engine is not running to prevent the vehicle battery from becoming excessively drained or flat. When the vehicle is running, the alternator should provide enough power.

To maximize the cooling effect after the unit is disconnected, keep the lid closed.

Pay attention when manoeuvring or lifting the cooler as it may be heavy when fully loaded. Only lift if it is within your own physical capabilities.

The plug will become warm during use. Ensure that the vehicle socket is clean and clear of debris, and the electrical contact is good to avoid the plug/socket overheating.

Take care when removing the plug from the 12/24V DC socket and DO NOT touch the metal contacts which may be hot.

Manger of electric shock! Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Improper repairs can lead to considerable hazards. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.

The supply voltage shall be the same as that indicated in the technical specifications and the appliance rating plate.

INSTALLATION
GENERAL INSTALLATION
The following points should be considered when choosing a location to install
the unit:

A minimum clearance of 50 mm must be maintained on all sides of the compressor cooler.

The compressor cooler shall be attached to secure anchorage points.

The ideal mounting position for the compressor cooler is on a flat, horizontal surface. If the compressor cooler is subject to sideways angles (for example: heal on a boat), it can withstand sideways angels of 30 degrees.

Do not place the product near sharp or hot objects.
-
Do not place the compressor cooler near loose objects that could fall on the cabinet,
block the ventilation slots and obstruct its operation. -
Never operate the compressor cooler next to flammable liquids or vapours.
OPERATION
BEFORE FIRST USE
Before starting the product for the first time, place the unit in a horizontal
position and leave it in this position for 12 hours. Then, wipe it inside and
outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons.
CARRYING THE COMPRESSOR COOLER
The compressor cooler is fitted with two side handle. The handles should be
used to lift and move the compressor cooler.
WARNING: The lid latch must never be used to lift or move the compressor
cooler. CAUTION: The compressor cooler should always be lifted by at least
two people.
PERFORMANCE HINTS
- Secure that your compressor cooler is well ventilated so that any heat created can dissipate. Otherwise, proper functioning cannot be guaranteed. Do not to cover the air vents.
- Allow hot food to cool down first before placing it into the device.
- Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not excessively refrigerated. Liquids expand when they freeze and can therefore destroy the glass containers.
- Fill the compressor cooler with food and beverages which have already been refrigerated.
- Place the compressor cooler in a well-ventilated area which is protected from direct sunlight.
- Avoid setting the target temperature unnecessarily low.
- Do not open the compressor cooler more often than necessary.
- Do not leave the lid open longer than necessary!
- Defrost the compressor cooler once the ice starts to form.
CONNECTING TO 12/24 V DC OR 220-240 V AC
- The compressor cooler can be operated on either 12 V, 24 V DC or 220-240 V AC.
- Prior to connecting, check whether the voltage indicated on the manufacturer’s label is in accordance with the battery voltage. Ensure whether the circuit is in good condition and has the correct capacity to power the compressor cooler.
- Press “SET” and “UP” buttons at the same time for 5 seconds to check the input power.
- Under no circumstances should you try to split the wires of an extension cord.
- Do not use a power strip or two-way splitter.
- Never handle the plugs, leads or switches with wet hands or while standing on a wet surface.
DC:
- Plug the 12/24 V DC power lead into the DC power socket on the back panel of the compressor cooler.
- Connect the DC plug to cigarette lighter socket.
- The compressor cooler is equipped with an electronic system to prevent reverse polarity for safety reasons. This protects the device against short circuits when connected to a battery.
AC:
- When using a 220-240 V AC mains electric supply it is advisable to use a residual current device (RCD).
- To connect your compressor cooler to 220–240V AC supply:
- Plug in the 220-240 V AC power lead into the AC power socket on the back panel of the compressor cooler.
- Connect the free end of the power lead to a 220–240 V AC supply.
TURNING ON OR OFF

To turn on, press the ON/OFF button once.
When the compressor cooler is on, the power LED will light up. The display will show the current cabinet temperature. -
To turn off, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds.
When the compressor cooler is off, the power LED and the display will go blank.
NOTE: The temperature displayed on the display is the temperature inside the refrigerator compartment. The temperature may be different elsewhere in the refrigerator.
BATTERY MONITOR ADJUSTMENT WITH ANTI-LOW VOLTAGE PROTECTION SYSTEM
- The device is fitted with a 3-level battery preservation monitor with anti-low voltage protection system.
- It has three settings: “H1”, “H2” and “H3”, to monitor the vehicle’s battery to prevent a full discharge. The higher the setting the higher the cut-off voltage will be.
- When the compressor cooler is switched on and connected to the vehicle’s power supply while the vehicle ignition is switched off, the compressor cooler will turn off automatically when the supply voltage drops below the set level. The cooler will turn on again once the battery has been charged to the voltage level required for restart.
- ATTENTION! Risk of damage! If the device is shut down by the battery monitor function, the battery will no longer be fully charged. Avoid restarting the device or using it without first carrying out long charging phases. Ensure the battery is charged.
- The battery monitor responds faster to the “H3” level than to the “H1” and “H2” levels.
IMPORTANT: If the compressor cooler cuts out prematurely, this may be due to the battery protection level being set too high. Consider lowering the battery protection level.
- When the compressor cooler is connected to the starting battery of your vehicle, then it is recommended to have the battery monitor set to “H3”.
- When the compressor cooler is connected to an auxiliary/secondary battery, then it is recommended to have the battery monitor set to “H1”.
- Connect and switch on the compressor cooler.
- Press the “UP” and “DOWN” buttons at the same time for about five seconds. “H1”, “H2” or “H3” will flash on the display.
- Then, press the “UP” or “DOWN” button to select the battery monitor level “H1”, “H2” or “H3”, to protect your vehicle battery. “H2” is set as default.
- The selected monitor level “H1”, “H2” or “H3” will flash on the screen for a few seconds after being set and the screen will flash a few times before showing the current temperature again.
SETTING THE COMPRESSOR COOLER OPERATING MODE
- To set the operating mode, tap the “SET” button twice in succession.
- The letters “HH” or “ECO” will flash on the screen.
- Then, use the “UP” or “DOWN” buttons to select the desired mode. The letters “HH” or “ECO” of the operating mode will flash on the display for a few seconds.
- Finally, the system displays the current temperature on the screen again.
- High speed (HH) mode: the temperature decreases much faster than in the ECO mode. The high-speed indicator will illuminate a red light and display “HH” when the compressor cooler is running on high speed mode
- ECO mode: the compressor cooler operated in energy-saving mode. ECO mode can reduce noise from 40dB to 35dB and save energy. On the other hand, the temperature decreases more slowly than in the “HH” mode.
TIP: It is recommended to use the ECO mode to conserve energy.
TEMPERATURE SETTING
In the refrigerator compartment, the temperature can be adjusted from 0°C to 10°C in 1°C or 2°F increments.
- Press and hold the “SET” button for 5 seconds to begin setting the temperature.
- Press the “UP” button to increase the temperature in 1°C or 2°F increments.
- Press the “DOWN” button to decrease the temperature in 1°C or 2°F increments
- Press and hold the “SET” and “DOWN” buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to select the temperature unit (°C or °F)
DIVIDING THE FREEZER INTERIOR
The freezer compartment is supplied with a removable divider. This divider can
be easily removed by lifting it vertically. When refitted, the divider must be
located between the ribs on the sides of the freezer compartment.
USING THE COMPRESSOR COOLER
Ensure to place only the food that is designed to be stored at the temperature
of the compressor cooler.
In the left compartment, place the food that you would like to freeze. In the right compartment, place the food and beverages you want to cool.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- WARNING: Always disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.
- Never immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
- Wipe interior and exterior with a damp cloth and neutral cleanser.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during cleaning as these can damage the product.
- Keep the ventilation slots free of any dust and dirt, so that heat can be released and the device is not damaged.
- To clean around the motor surround, place the compressor cooler in a well-ventilated area and use a vacuum cleaner or a gentle stream of compressed air.
- WARNING: Under no circumstances is the motor surround to be removed.
DEFROSTING
Periodically ice may form on the inside of the compressor cooler. This will
reduce its capacity and cooling efficiency. Defrosting your compressor cooler
regularly will keep the compressor cooler at peak operating condition.
- Turn off the compressor cooler.
- Disconnect compressor cooler from AC or DC power supply.
- Remove all contents and removable spacer.
- Open the lid to allow the interior compartment to warm up to ambient air temperature.
- As ice melts, soak up the water with a clean towel.
- Once all ice has melted, clean the interior.
- Let it dry completely.
CAUTION: DO NOT use hard, sharp or pointed objects to defrost the compressor cooler or loosen items that have become frozen in place. Irreparable damage to cooling system can occur.
STORING
- Carefully wind up the AC and DC power cords and store it in a dry place.
- Ensure the inside is fully dry before storing when not in use.
- Store the appliance in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
- When not in use the cooler’s lid shall be left ajar to prevent mould growth and unpleasant odours.
