Product Information

The MOVING BOX is a foldable box intended for use with the Norauto MOVING BASE multi-purpose towbar platform. The product has a maximum load capacity of 40kg and is available in different weight variants. The product comes with anchor points to secure the load and is compatible with specific vehicles. The product has a waterproof texture, but it is recommended to protect the load with plastic bags or remove it from the box during bad weather. The product should not be used with any other platform that does not belong to MOVING BASE.

Product Usage Instructions

• Read the user manual carefully before using the product and store it for future reference
• Ensure compatibility of the product with your vehicle before installation. Seek advice from a salesperson or technician if unsure.
• Regularly check the tightness of all attachments during travel.
• Do not overload the box. The maximum load capacity is 40kg.
• The maximum speed allowed with the foldable towbar box is 130 km/h.
• Remove the box and platform before using an automatic car wash.
• Do not handle the box while the car is in motion or without the handbrake engaged.
• Load only packaged items or items placed in bags in the box. Do not transport valuable items and never leave the box unattended and locked.
• Secure the load firmly to the anchor points using the supplied straps.
• If the box is empty, place it flat to reduce fuel consumption and road noise.
• Do not handle the box on the road unless in a protected area.
• Do not disassemble the box when fully loaded.
• Clean the box with a damp sponge only and allow it to dry completely before folding it back.
• Store the box in a dry place.
• Be aware of the change in the vehicle’s dimensions when the box and platform are attached during reverse driving.

Manual and security information

• The foldable box MOVING BOX that you have just purchased is intended for use with the Norauto “MOVING BASE” multi-purpose towbar platform.
• You are advised against using this box with any platform other than the “MOVING BASE” product.
• Follow the instructions carefully before use, and keep them in a safe place.
• Before assembling this product, make sure that it is compatible for assembly with your vehicle. In case of doubt, seek advice from a vendor / technician.
• During your trip, check regularly that all fixings are fully tightened.
• Never overload the towbar box. The MAXIMUM acceptable load in the box is 40kg.
• The maximum speed permitted with the folding towbar box is 130 km/h or 80m/h.
• If you intend to wash your vehicle in an automatic car wash, you must remove the box and the platform first.
• Do not handle the box unless the vehicle is stationary with the handbrake on.
• Never load the box with loose items. All items carried in the box must be packed in bags or suitcases. Never carry valuable items in the box. Never leave the closed box unsupervised. All items must be carried inside the bag.
• Never drive with the rear door open.
• Items carried must be firmly secured to the anchorage points using the straps provided.
• When the box is empty, you are advised to fold it flat to reduce fuel consumption and aerodynamic noise.

WARNING

• Never handle or adjust the box on the road, unless you are in a protected place.
• Do not remove the box when it is fully loaded.
• Sponge clean, using only water. Allow the box to dry completely after cleaning before folding it flat.
• Do not store the box in a damp environment.
• The box has a highly water-resistant texture. Nevertheless, items carried must be protected with plastic bags or removed from the box in adverse weather conditions.
• The size and shape of your vehicle is altered by the box and the platform. When reversing, be aware of the additional volume represented by the box and the platform.
• Warning: Using the box significantly alters your vehicle’s operating conditions. You are advised to exercise caution in strong side winds and on bends, and to adjust your speed accordingly. Braking distances may be lengthened.
• Do not allow children to play inside the box or to treat it as a shelter. This box is not a toy: keep it out of reach of children.
• You are reminded that it is forbidden to carry any of the following in the box: animals
• children – steel bars or any other sharp objects – food – sand – highly toxic, flammable or explosive products – aerosols – bricks or other projectiles.
• It is strictly prohibited to attach any object to the outside of the box.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Assembling the box MOVING BOX on the “MOVING BASE” platform
2. Deploying the “MOVING BOX” box
3. Fitting the “MOVING BOX” attachments to the “MOVING BASE” platform
4. Loading luggages into the foldable “MOVING BOX” box

How to reset the password

The default password is 0-0-0. To set your own password, please follow these steps:

1. Set the Dials (1) in the 0-0-0 position.
2. Press down the Reset button (2) with a tool, such as a ballpoint pen, until you hear a “click” sound.
3. Set your desired password combination by turning the Dials (1), for example, 8-8-8.
4. Push the Unlock button (3) as the arrow indicated until you hear the “click” sound again. The Reset button (2) should pop up. The lock is now in open mode.

Note: Please write down your password combination and put it in a safe place.
To change your password, set the Dials (1) to the current password, then repeat the steps 2-4 above.

5. Folding the “MOVING BOX” box flat
   • Follow the instructions detailed in paragraph 2 overleaf to achieve the configuration shown in the photo below:
