TROUBLESHOOTING

QUESTION ANSWER
Why didn’t my Jump starter start my vehicle? There could be a number of

reasons why the Jump starter did not start your vehicle. Check the following:

  1. Ensure the Jump starter battery is fully charged.
  2. Ensure the vehicle operates on 12V DC.
  3. Ensure the displacement of the car.
  4. The vehicle’s battery may be below 2.5V, the minimum start voltage for the Jump starter. Ensure all connections are correct, then press the Power/ Light and Jump-start buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to manually activate the Jump starter. (This is optional and various according to product.)

Can I leave my Jump starter connected to the car after it has started?| Leaving the Jump starter connected to the car after it has started will not be a problem. But it is best to disconnect and charge the Jump starter so it is ready to start another car. As the Jump starter will not be receiving charge in this situation and it is best to pack the Jump starter away so it will not fall in the engine area.
What is Peak Amps?| Peak amps is the maximum current the battery in the Jump starter can produce.
What is Cranking Amps?| Cranking Amps is the continuous current available during jump starting.
How do I turn off the product?| The product has intelligent detection function. If there is no load, or the electronic product is charged for long time, the device will automatically fall into “sleep” and save the energy.

NOTE: The engine start port on the device is always live and is protected with rubber cover.

How long do I have to charge the product?| Time to full charge varies:

  • USB 5V 2A: 4 – 6 hours
  • USB 5V 1A: 8 – 12 hours
  • USB 5V 0.5A: 16 – 24 hours.

How many times can I charge my cell phone?| Take the iPhone XS as an example. The mobile phone can be fully charged 2 times from no power shut-down to full charge. Other brands of mobile phones can charge more than 1-3 times according to the capacity of the mobile phone.
How many starts per full charge?| Depends on the displacements, the number of starts could be very different. For example, if it’s 1.2L car, it could have 20+ starts.
What’s the service life?| It could be used for 1-5 years on non-commercial uses.
How long do I have to charge the jump starter?| The jump starter is very well built. It is no problem to store for 6-12 months, but in order to prolong the service life, it is recommended to charge once every three months.
What’s the use of travel lock function?| This is Greatway’s patent. It is characterized by turn off deeply, that preventing abnormal power consumption, USB output and 12V output short circuit caused by improperly stored miscellaneous items during travel.
What are the protection features of this product?| There are 8 protections:

  1. Reverse polarity protection: prevent the harms from clamps being reversed;
  2. Over-current protection: prevent damage to the product caused by excessive input charging current;
  3. Short circuit protection: prevent the clamps from being shorted between positive and negative poles;
  4. Overcharge protection: when fully charged, or external input voltage is too high, the device won’t accept charge;
  5. Reverse-charge protection: stop the reverse charging from car after jump starting;
  6. Over-discharge protection: keep the device from discharging when battery is too low. This keeps a weak device from cranking;
  7. Over-temperature protection: Automatically stop working when the temperature is getting too high for during charging, lighting, and USB interface use;
  8. Spark protection: prevents sparks when the clamps are connecting car batteries.
