2.2 Product Description

The USB 3.0 KVM Switch for 2 Computers is an ideal solution for sharing a display and USB peripheral devices between 2 different computers. Connect the switch box over USB and DisplayPort to share up to one display and three USB peripherals between two computers. Enjoy easy access to the connected devices with a single press button on the remote control. No hassle to unplug and re- plug your devices.

2.3 Product Features

  • Share one monitor and three USB devices with two computers. Enjoy instant switching access to the connected USB peripherals, like a printer, scanner, keyboard, mouse, webcams, hard disks and more.
  • Connect to USB 3.0 devices for data transferring with transfer rate up to 5Gbps
  • Connect one monitor over DisplayPort. Supports a maximum 8K @60Hz display (7680 × 4320)
  • Switch between 2 computers with a single press button on the lightweight remote controller or on the switch box
  • LED light on the switch box indicates which connected computer has access to all peripherals
  • Plug and play, no driver required
  • Turn off/on the remote control by pressing and holding down the #1 and #2 buttons on the Switch for 5 seconds

3. CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS

3.1 Panel Diagram

  1. USB-C power port for optional power (AC adapter included)
  2. 2 x DisplayPort connectors for host computers
  3. 2 x USB micro-B ports for host computers
  4. 3 x USB 3.0 ports for peripherals
  5. DisplayPort monitor connector
  6. On / Off switch
  7. 2 Buttons on top for source switching, with blue LED light indicating a valid control
    Note: All cables to connect USB devices and a DisplayPort display to the Switch are sold separately

3.2 Remote Installation

Remove the insulating tab from the end of the battery and check that the battery is installed correctly
Troubleshooting tips:
• Replace the battery
• Make sure the Switch is turned on and remote control is not turned off on the Switch

3.3 Connection Instructions

1. Power off all source equipment
2. Make sure the switch is “OFF” before connecting any device
3. Optional: Connect the included USB-C AC adapter to the USB-C port and a wall outlet
4. Connect the DisplayPort and micro-B cables from the switch to each computer. Connect DP 1 and micro-B 1 to computer #1, and connect DP 2 and micro-B 2 to computer #2
5. Connect the switch box to up to 3 USB peripherals through the USB-A ports
6. Connect a DisplayPort monitor to the front panel DisplayPort port

3.2 Remote Installation

3.3 Connection Instructions

6. Connect a DisplayPort monitor to the front panel DisplayPort port

3.4 Troubleshooting Tips

• Verify that the Switch is On and all cables are securely connected
• Verify that correct cables are connected:
Micro-B to USB-A cables to the host computers
DisplayPort cables to the host computers and monitor
AC adapter to the USB-C port on the Switch (Optional)
USB devices to the USB-A ports on the Switch
• The LED light turns blue when the connected computer has control to all connected USB devices
• The rapidly-blinking LED lights indicate the remote control is turned off. The slowly-blinking LED lights indicate the remote control is turned on.
• Connect the included USB-C AC adapter to the switch and a wall outlet if the USB device is not recognized by the computer
• Connect an external power supply to a high power-consumption USB device such as hard drive, flash drive, card reader, etc.
• Check if driver installation is required for the attached devices on the con-nected computers
• Test each cable or equipment directly with other equipment
• Restart or reconnect the Switch by unplugging and re-plugging it back in
• If USB keyboards, mice, or other devices do not work or intermittently lose connection, connect the included USB 2.0 extension cable to the switch, and connect the device to the USB extension cable
• Try a lower display resolution and refresh rate if the monitor does not work
• Make sure the DP 1 port and USB 1 port is connected to PC #1, and the DP 2 and USB 2 port is connected to PC #2. If the cables are connected in the incorrect order, the wrong computer may appear on the connected monitor
