Cable Matters 103100 1×2 8K HDMI Switch
Product Information
The Cable Matters HDMI Switch is a device that allows you to connect up to two
HDMI devices to one display, making it easy to switch between them. It is
compatible with 4K resolution at 120Hz, providing high-quality video and audio
output. The switch supports HDCP 2.3, HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG
Pass-Through, VRR, ALLM, and QFT. It also supports 8-bit, 10-bit, and 12-bit
RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4 / 4:2:2 / 4:2:0 LPCM, Dolby Digital/Plus/EX, Dolby
TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS, DTS-EX, DTS-96/24, DTS High Res, DTS-HD Master
Audio, and DSD.
Product Usage Instructions
- Power off all devices before connecting them to the switch.
- Connect a display to the HDMI OUT port of the switch.
- Connect HDMI devices to the HDMI IN ports of the switch.
- (Optional) Connect a micro USB cable (not included) from the POWER port to a wall charger or a free USB port on the display.
- Power on all devices and change the display input to the switch’s HDMI input.
The switch button and power LED (green) can be used to switch inputs. Press it once to switch inputs or hold it for 3 seconds to toggle auto switching. The input LED (green) indicates which input is active.
Installation Instructions
- Power off all devices.
- Connect a display to the HDMI OUT port of the switch.
- Connect HDMI devices to the HDMI IN ports of the switch.
- Optional: Connect a micro USB cable (not included) from the POWER port to a wall charger or a free USB port on the display.
- Power on devices and change the display input to the switch’s HDMI input.
Operating Instructions
- To swap HDMI devices, press the button in the center of the switch. An LED will illuminate to indicate which HDMI device is active.
- To toggle auto-switching, hold down the button for 3 seconds. The LEDs will blink 3 times when auto-switching is enabled or 5 times when auto-switching is disabled.
Troubleshooting Tips

- For 4K 120Hz or 8K feature support, connect the switch to a supported port on the display.
- Advanced HDMI features must be manually enabled on some televisions.
- Do not use HDMI cables longer than 2 meters / 6.6 feet. If flickering occurs, use shorter HDMI cables.
- The switch is bus-powered and does not require external power. On some devices, it may be necessary to connect a micro USB power cable to a wall charger or free USB port.
