SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the operating instructions carefully before use!

Please retain for future reference.

  • This jack meets the standards for EN 1494:2000 + A1:2008.
  • It’s forbidden to use the jack to lift people.
  • If the jack changes owner then these operating instructions should also be handed over to the new owner.
  • The operator is responsible for any accidents or injuries which occur due to non-compliance of these operation instructions and the safety instructions.
  • If the jack’s safety devices are removed/altered or if any other design-related changes are carried out, then the operator takes full responsibility for the consequences in their entirety.
  • Check that the locking bars are working correctly before use.
  • The jack must not be loaded with a greater weight than the maximum indicated load.
  •  Ensure the jack is stable while lifting. Never place the jack on sloping, unstable or even surfaces. The jack must be placed on a hard and even surface which can handle this type of load.
  • Ensure that the load to be lifted using the jack cannot begin to move during the lift.
  •  It is forbidden to work underneath the lifted load until it has been properly secured.
  • The jack must not be used to lift people.
  • Position the jack in such a way that you never need to put any body parts underneath the load to be lifted.
  • The operator must keep the jack and the load under surveillance at all times while the jack is in use. Stop lifting immediately if a dangerous situation occurs.
  • Before lowering the load, check that there are no people or objects underneath it. Body parts must be kept away from the area under the lifted load.
  • If several jacks are being used simultaneously then the work must be coordinated
    • the jacks must be raised and lowered simultaneously, in the same direction and at the same speed.
  • If an unusual amount of force is needed to move the crank, stop cranking immediately and check the jack’s power transmission parts.
  • The upper load saddle must be placed in the lower position when the jack is not in use.
  • The jack must not be used for/during transportation.
  • Note that this jack is not designed for commercial use.
  • We cannot guarantee that the jack will function in the intended manner if it is used for commercial/professional use (or under such conditions).
  • Labels and symbols must be checked and must not be altered.
  • Do not use the jack in strong winds.

DESCRIPTION

  • The jack is a lifting tool for repair work, load support, etc. and works according to the principle of mechanical power transmission.
  • The jack has a retractable crank which makes it easy to manoeuvre and maintain.
  • The jack is self-locking.
  • The lifting and lowering speeds can be controlled.
  • The jack has two loading saddles and a large lifting area.
  •  Works outdoors wintertime.

OPERATION

NOTE!

  • The jack comes ready for use. It does not need to be assembled or installed.
  • Lubricate the jack’s parts on a regular basis.
  1. Place the jack on an even surface.
  2. Then place the load on the lower load saddle or the upper load saddle. Alternatively place the jack underneath the load to be lifted. Check that the load saddles are fully in contact with the load.
  3. Use suitable lifting saddles for the work being carried out.
  4. Lift the load by cranking clockwise.
  5. Lower the load by releasing the locking bar and cranking anti-clockwise.
