USER MANUAL

WARNING!
Do not open the cover. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel Do not place the product in a location near a heat source such as a radiator, or in an area subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, mechanical vibration or shock The product must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the product Allow adequate air circulation and avoid obstructing vents (if present) to prevent internal heat build-up. The ventilation must not be impeded by covering the appliance with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc. The mains plug is used to disconnect the appliance from the mains supply. Ensure that the main outlet is easily- accessible and remove the plug from the main outlet if you notice any abnormality with the appliance.

Thank you for purchasing the SubZero Active PA Speaker. To get the most out of your product, please read this manual carefully.

Four preset EQ modes: Flat, Live, Speech, and DJ.
Accurate and precise piezoelectric tweeter.
High-durable wood and carpet design.
Two input channels with XLR, 6.3mm Jack and RCA Phono connections.

FUNCTIONS ****

BACK PANEL

LEDs CLIP:
When lit, the input signal level is excessive and should be reduced.
SIG: When lit, the speaker is receiving an input signal.
: When lit, the power is on.
EQ MODE SELECTOR
Select your desired EQ mode using this dial. Please see page 6 for further details.
MIX OUT
Outputs a full range combined signal. Use this XLR output to connect an active speaker.
INPUT 2 RCA PHONO
Connect an Instrument or playback device via RCA/Phono.
SPEAKER OUT
Outputs a full range, combined signal. Use this powered 8ohm Speakon (NL4) output to connect a passive speaker.
MASTER LEVEL
Adjust the overall output volume.
MIC/LINE SWITCH
Switch between Mic or Line level impedance.
INPUT 1 LEVEL
Adjust the level for Input 1.
INPUT 1
Connect a microphone or Line level device using either XLR or 6.3mm TRS Jack. Please ensure the MIC/LINE switch is set to the correct position depending on the device connected.
INPUT 2 LEVEL
Adjust the level for Input 2.
I NPUT 2
Connect a Line level device using XLR.
POWER INPUT
Connect the provided AC power cable here.
POWER SWITCH
Turns the speaker on or off

EQ SETTINGS

Below are the details of the 4 EQ settings available to use on the speaker…
FLAT
Completely neutral. No EQ processing is applied, so you hear everything exactly as it is.
Examples:

Using an external audio mixer.
Critical listening in situations where you need to hear unprocessed sound.

LIVE
Cut through audiences for a pronounced sound, with slight low and high-end boosts to add 3D depth.
Examples:

Live gigs, rehearsals, and other musical performances.
Singer-songwriters.
Open mic nights.

SPEECH
A crisp and clear sound, aids clarity in presentations and other speech situations.
Examples:

Presentations in office and classroom environments.
For a public announcement system at an event
Awards and dinner events.
Amplifying drama and theatre on small stages.

DJ
Accurately boosts the bass and treble to help drive dance music and enhance your party’s atmosphere. Ideal for larger venues.
Examples:

Mobile DJs.
Children’s parties
Club events.
