Product Information

The BGT1000 blowtorch is a versatile tool designed for various applications. It features a seal, blowtorch valve, blowtorch nozzle, liquid gas cartridge casing, and a base for liquid gas cartridge fixing. Please note that the gas cartridge is not included in the set.

Operation
Note:
The best position for the gas container during operation is vertical or tilted at a maximum of 45 degrees. Adjust the flame size according to your planned operation.
To replace the liquid gas cartridge:

  1. Ensure the cartridge is fully emptied.
  2. Replace the cartridge outdoors and away from bystanders.
  3. Make sure the valve is tightly closed and the burner is cold.
  4. Unscrew the base for cartridge fixing and remove the empty cartridge.
  5. Insert the new gas cartridge following the instructions in the Gas Cartridge Installation section.

Storage & Maintenance
The manufacturer is not responsible for damage resulting from inappropriate handling, unauthorized modifications or repairs, or the use of non-original parts.

FAQ

  • Can I use a different brand of gas cartridge with the blowtorch?
    It is recommended to only use the gas cartridge provided with the product to ensure safety and optimal performance.

  • How do I adjust the flame size?
    You can adjust the flame size for your planned operation by turning the blowtorch valve.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

CAUTION: Before using the blowtorch read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference.

  • The blowtorch can be used only in well ventilated rooms, away from flammables and in accordance with valid regulations. The amount of air necessary for proper burning, that allows to avoid dangerous concentration of unburnt gas, is 5 m3/h.
  • With the blowtorch you can use only cartridges with pressurized butane (propane and butane) with capacity 190g. Using different cartridge may be dangerous.
  • Read carefully instructions on liquid gas cartridge body before installing it in the blowtorch.
  • In case of overheating, intermittent or inappropriate burning, close the blowtorch valve to avoid fire hazards (1b).
  • Use the blowtorch away from flammable materials.
  • Ensure the valve is closed before carrying the blowtorch (1b).
  • Replace cartridge in well ventilated place, outdoors if possible, and away from open flame, heat sources, sparks and flammables. Carry out replacement away from bystanders.
  • In case of leak (when you can smell gas) close the valve and take the blowtorch to a well ventilated place, free from ignition sources, i.e. where you can exactly define the leakage and remove it. Check tightness of the blowtorch if it is possible.
  • Do not use flame to detect source of escaping gas. Use soap and water solution for this purpose.
  • Do not use the blowtorch when the cartridge mount is damaged, when there is a leak or the blowtorch does not function properly.
  • Do not make any unauthorized changes or improvements in blowtorch construction. Such changes may be dangerous, void all warranties and release the manufacturer from responsibility for the product.
  • Remove the gas cartridge only when it is completely emptied.
  • Do not throw empty gas containers into fire.
  • When using the blowtorch, and for some time after the operation is finished, the burner heats many parts of the device. Avoid touching hot parts of the device with your hands.

    • Always use the product with the supplied equipment. Operation of the product with non-provided equipment may cause malfunctions or even serious injury or death. The manufacturer and the importer shall not be liable for injuries and damages resulting from the use of non-conforming equipment.

OPERATION

  • Gas cartridge installation (gas cartridge not included in the set)
1. Ensure the blowtorch seal is in appropriate position and in good condition. When there is no seal or the seal is worn, contact an authorised service center.
2. Ensure the blowtorch valve is fully closed (tightened, “-“ direction) (1b).
3. Place liquid gas cartridge in the casing (1d).
4. Position the blow-lamp vertically and tighten the fixing of base and the casing (1f ).
5. It will pierce the gas cartridge. After the cartridge has been pierced do not attempt to remove the cartridge, even when the valve is opened and gas does not get out. Contact an authorised service center when necessary.
  • Lighting flame – Flame adjustment – Extinguishing flame
1. Open the blowtorch valve slightly by turning adjustment wheel in “+” direction (1b).
2. Light the gas that is coming out of the nozzle end immediately after opening the valve (1c).
3. Adjust flame size as required and wait for approximately 1 minute before operating the blowtorch, while holding the gas container in vertical position. Do not allow producing intense, yellow flame.
4. To switch the blowtorch off, turn the valve in the “-“ direction and close it completely (1b).  

Note: The best position of the gas container during operation is vertical or tilted, 450 maximum. Adjust flame size for the planned operation.

  • Replacing liquid gas cartridge
1. Do not replace liquid gas cartridge unless it is fully emptied (shake the blow-lamp to ensure there is liquid gas inside).
2. Carry out cartridge replacement outdoors and away from bystanders.
3. Ensure the valve is closed tight and that burner is cold (1b).
4. Unscrew base for cartridge fixing and remove empty cartridge (1f ).
5. Insert new gas cartridge, follow instructions in section “GAS CARTRIDGE INSTALLATION”.

STORAGE & MAINTENANCE

  1. When the work is finished wait for the blowtorch to cool down completely. Store the blowtorch in vertical position, in cool, dry, well ventilated place, beyond reach of children. Never store the blowtorch in basement or any other badly ventilated, closed room.
  2. Problems with lighting up the blowtorch can be caused by moisture. In such case dry the lamp. Contact an authorised service center when problem persists. Problems with lighting up the blowtorch can be caused by obstruction in nozzle or impurities. Do not attempt carrying out such repair by yourself.
  3. When there are impurities in nozzle (there is liquid gas in cartridge, but the torch does not burn), it may be necessary to replace the nozzle. Contact an authorised service center in this situation (1c).
  4. When using the blowtorch avoid inhalation of fumes from burnt gas.
  5. Use damp cloth and water with soap to clean the blowtorch body. Never use any abrasive agent.
    The blowtorch manufacturer is not responsible for any damage resulting from inappropriate handling of the tool, using the tool in accordingly with its purpose, no operator’s qualifications, unauthorized modifications or repairs, and using parts that are not original.

WARRANTY

The gas appliances have been manufactured according to strict standards, set by our company, which are aligned with the respective European quality standards. The gas appliances of our company are provided with a warranty period of 24 months for non-professional use and 12 months for professional use. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase of the product. Proof of the warranty right is the purchase document of the gas appliance (retail receipt or invoice). Under no circumstances shall the company cover the relevant cost of spare parts and respective required working hours unless a copy of the purchase document is presented. In case the repair has to be done by our service department the cost of transportation (to and from) is entirely borne by the sender (client). The gas appliances must be sent for repair to the company or to an authorized workshop in the appropriate way and means of transport.

WARRANTY EXEMPTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS:

  1. Spare parts that wear out naturally as a consequence of being used (expendable parts).
  2. Gas appliances damaged as a result of non-compliance with the instructions of the manufacturer.
  3. Gas appliances poorly maintained.
  4. Use of improper detergents or accessories.
  5. Gas appliances given to third entities free of charge.
  6. Damage or malfunction resulting from improper cleaning procedure of the grill gas.
  7. Contact of the gas appliance with chemicals, or damage as a result of moisture or corrosion.
  8. Gas appliances that have been modified or opened by unauthorized personnel.
  9. Gas appliances used for rent.

The warranty covers only the free of charge replacement of the component that presents a manufacturing defect or material failure. In case of lack of a specific spare part the company reserves the right to replace the gas appliance with another corresponding model. After all warranty procedures have been concluded, the warranty period of the gas appliance shall not be extended or renewed. Replacement of a spare part with repair charge is covered by a 1 year warranty of good operation, subject to compliance with the warranty terms. The spare parts or gas appliances that are replaced remain in the possession of our company. Requirements, other than those mentioned in this warranty form, regarding gas appliances repairs or damage thereof, do not apply. Greek law and relative regulations apply to this warranty.

WARRANTY

This appliance is a quality product. It was designed in compliance with current technical standards and made carefully using normal, good quality materials. The warranty period is 24 months for non-professional use and 12 months for professional use and commences on the date of purchase, which can be verified by the receipt, invoice or delivery note. During this warranty period all functional errors, which, despite the careful treatment described in our operating manual, are verifiably due to material flaws, will be rectified by our after-sales service staff. The warranty takes the form that defective parts will be repaired or replaced with perfect parts free of charge at our discretion. Replaced parts will become our property. Repair work or the replacement of individual parts will not extend the warranty period not will it result in a new warranty period being commenced for the appliance. No separate warranty period will commence for spare parts that may be ted. We cannot offer a warranty for damage and defects on appliances or their parts caused by the use of excessive force, im-proper treatment and servicing. This also applies for failures to comply with the operating manual and the installation or spare and accessory parts that are not included in our range of products. In the event of interference with of modifications to the appliance by unauthorized persons, the warranty will be rendered void. Damages that are attributable to improper handling, over loading, or natural wear and tear are excluded from the guarantee. Damages caused by the manufacturer or by a material defect will be corrected at no charge by repair or by providing spare parts. The prerequisite is that the equipment is handed over assembled, and complete with the proof of sale and guarantee. For a guarantee claim, only use the original packaging. That way, we can guarantee quick and smooth guarantee processing. Please send us the appliances post-paid or request a Freeway sticker. Unfortunately we will be unable to accept appliances that are not postpaid. The warranty does not cover parts that are subject to natural wear and tear. If you wish to make a warranty claim, report faults or order spare parts or accessories, please contact the after-sales center: Subject to change without prior notice.
