Discovery Report W30 Weather Station

The kit includes a base station, sensor, user manual, and warranty.

Getting started

Base station
Open the battery compartment cover (11) and insert 2 batteries according to the correct polarity. Close the cover.

NOTE! The base station is operated on channel 1. If the base station should be operated on a different channel, press the CH button to set the desired channel.

Sensor
Open the battery compartment cover (5) and insert 2 batteries according to the correct polarity. Close the cover.

Sensor connection
Place the base station and the remote sensor within the effective transmission range. If the values are not received from a channel, сheck the batteries and try again. Check if there is any source of interference. When changing batteries, replace the batteries in the base unit first and then in the sensor in order to re-establish the connection. If an adapter supplies power to any of the devices, briefly disconnect the power to that device when replacing the batteries. If you change the batteries only in one of the devices (for example, in the sensor), the signal may not be received correctly. The effective range may differ depending on the unit’s position. Due to interference (various remote control devices, etc.), the maximum distance between the base unit and the sensor may be significantly reduced. In such cases, we suggest moving the base unit and sensor a little.

NOTE! Although the sensor is weather-resistant, never place it in direct sunlight or in the rain or snow.

Outdoor temperature resetting
Press and hold the CH button if the outdoor temperature needs to be reset. The outdoor temperature of the particular channel will reset and display “——.—”. Press the TX button on the back of the sensor to send a transmission to the base station, and then the current temperature should once again be displayed on the base station.

Temperature units
The thermometer can switch the temperature units between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Press the °C/°F button to change the temperature units.

History record
Press the MAX/MIN button to display the MAX/MIN temperature. To clear the history records, press and hold the MAX/MIN button for 3 seconds.

Low battery indicator
If the low battery indicator is displayed for either the sensor or the base station, immediately change the batteries.

Trend arrow indicators

The temperature trend indicator shows the trends for the forthcoming few minutes. Arrows indicate a rising, steady, or falling trend.
