Safety instructions & conditions of use

• Do not cover the lamp or the power supply unit to avoid damage due to overheating. Do not install near a heat source!
• Avoid wetness and operation in very humid environments. Condensation after cooling can damage the lamp.
• Use only the supplied power supply unit to prevent possible damage or fire due to overloading.
• We recommend unplugging the power supply from the socket when the light is not in use for a longer period of time. This will save you maximum energy and increase safety.
• Do not pull on the cable to avoid damage.
• LED bulbs have a very long life and are not replaceable. Therefore, do not open the luminaire.
• Only adjust the luminaire carefully and pay attention to the end stops of the joints. Avoid frequent and rigorous twisting to prevent damage.
• Adjust the lamp so that you are not looking directly into the brightly lit surface.
• Do not place magnetic or metallic objects in the immediate vicinity of the charging field. Do not place cards with sensitive magnetic strips in the vicinity, as they could be damaged.
• If a case completely encloses your smartphone, take it out for wireless charging to protect it from overheating.

Scope of delivery:

• Luminaire (lamp post, base), fixing screw, plug-in power supply unit with connection cable

Installation

1. Insert the pole into the hole in the base. Turn the pole as desired.
2. Then insert the supplied screw and fix it with a screwdriver.
3. Insert the hollow plug of the power supply into the socket on the base. Then plug the power supply unit into a mains socket.
4. The lamp is now ready for use and can be switched on

Alignment

The luminaire has 4 joints for optimal alignment. Please observe the end stops and adjust the luminaire carefully. Adjust the lamp so that the desired area is optimally illuminated but the light does not dazzle.

Operation

The lamp is equipped with touch buttons in the base that triggers the following functions:

1. When tapped, the lamp provides a cozy, warm white light.
2. The lamp provides a natural, cool white light that resembles daylight.
3. The energy consumption is limited to 50%.
4. The lamp provides a bright, neutral white light – ideal for reading or working.
5. Reduces the brightness continuously by tapping.
6. Increases the brightness by tapping or long pressing.
7. Switches the lamp on and off.

The last setting made remains saved and is used when the lamp is switched on again. After you disconnect the lamp from the mains, it switches on with the factory setting.

Wireless charging

This lamp is equipped with a function for the inductive charging of smartphones. To do this, place a suitable device on the base of the lamp. Please note that some smartphones have to be aligned very precisely in order to charge them. Place the device with the display facing upwards. The phone will show when it is charging.
A thick or metallic cover will prevent charging. It is normal for the phone or base to become warm during charging. Please do not cover it.

Troubleshooting

No function? Check if the lamp post is inserted deep enough into the lamp base. Make sure that the plugs of the power supply unit and the connecting cable are correctly plugged in. Check the cable for a possible defect. Make sure that neither humidity nor extreme temperatures are causing the problem.
