Intended use
- Enables the connection of 4 HDMI sources such as PC, game console and media player to 2 HDMI sinks, e.g. to a TV and a video projector.
- Distributes the signal of one source to both HDMI sinks, or delivers different signals from 2 sources to both HDMI sinks.
- Audio extractor for outputting the sound of an external player or the TV via SPDIF Toslink and Cinch analogue
Scope of delivery:
HDMI 4×2 matrix switch, power supply unit, remote control, battery, instructions.
Installation and operation
-
Connect the HDMI outputs of up to 4 devices to HDMI IN1 to IN4 on this switch.
-
Connect HDMI OUT A and B to an HDMI input of the TV, monitor, AV receiver or video projector.
-
We recommend connecting a TV with HDMI 2.1 interface and/or HDMI ARC function to the OUT B connector.
Note: The HDMI-ARC connection of a sound bar is an HDMI output and cannot be connected meaningfully to this switch, but only to the TV. -
Connect the power supply unit to the DC connector and plug it into the wall socket.
-
First switch on the HDMI sink (e.g. TV), then the HDMI source
-
Select the desired input player for output OUT A by pressing key A on the switch or key 1–4 on the remote control.
-
Select the desired player for output OUT B by pressing the B key, or use the remote.

Displays and connection on the front
1. Mini-USB interface for service purposes
2. LED indicator for the selected input/player at output A
3. LED lights up when output A receives a signal
4. LED indicator for the selected input / player at output B
5. LED lights up when output B receives a signal
6. LED lights up when ARC is active. The sound from OUT B is then output via
the audio outputs (analogue only for stereo, digital for stereo, DD5.1 or DTS)
7. Infrared receiver for the remote control
8. PASS EDID mode: the audio format is determined by the display
9. 2.0 EDID mode: the audio format is limited to stereo
10. 5.1 EDID mode: the audio format is set to Dolby Digital / Dolby Digital
Plus (if available, otherwise stereo)
11. LED is lit when the audio format corresponds to OUT A. When the LED is
off, the audio format is optimised for output OUT B.
Controls on the front panel
12. Key A for selecting the input 1–4 for display A
13. Key B for selecting the source 1–4 for display B
14. Activates / deactivates the ARC function for sound output from Display B
to the audio outputs
15. Switches between the 3 EDID modes PASS / 2.0 / 5.1 with a short tap
Switches between the audio EDID of output A/B when pressed and held (3 s)
16. Power LED lights up when the switch is on
17. On-off switch
HDMI 2.1 transmission
For HDMI 2.1 transmission to be possible, e.g. 4K 120Hz for gaming, both connected HDMI displays must support HDMI 2.1. Mixed operation with HDMI 2.0 is not possible.
Dolby Vision / HDR10+ / 3D Video
In order for a player to output these video formats, both connected displays must support them. If, for example, the TV at output A supports Dolby Vision, but the projector at output B does not, the output is HDR10.
Downscaler
The switch has an automatic downscaler so that a 4K and a Full HD display can be operated at the same time. The 4K video signal is thus reduced to 1080p resolution for the Full HD device. At the same time, the 4K device receives the original signal. The frame rate cannot be changed in the process. A maximum of 4K 60Hz can be scaled; 1080p 60Hz is then output on the Full-HD TV.
Audio EDID
Select PASS if you are not using the audio outputs on the switch. Use the A/B button to select whether the maximum audio format of the device at output A or B is used. If, for example, a TV with a sound bar is operated at output B, set B here. The LED A/B is then not lit. If the „better“ sound system is connected to output A, press the A/B key on the switch for 3 seconds or use the A-B key on the remote control. The Audio EDID of OUT A is used. The LEDs A/B and PASS then light up.
Remote control
All functions can be controlled with the supplied infrared remote control, which is powered by a CR2025 battery.
Standby on/off
A-B Prioritises audio output for OUT A or OUT B
ARC Switches ARC on (or off) and delivers the TV sound from OUT B via the
audio outputs if the TV supports HDMI ARC.
PASS The max. audio format is determined by the TV (selectable via key
A-B).
2CH The audio format is limited to stereo.
5.1CH The audio format is set to 5.1 bitstream.
1–4 Selects input 1-4 for output on OUT A or OUT B
ON/OFF Switches output OUT A or OUT B on/off.
