Intended use
- delivers the sound of a television with HDMI ARC connection to headphones and/or a stereo system
- adjusts the volume on the outputs with the TV remote control using HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control)
- the last volume setting remains stored
Installation and operation
- Set the TV to PCM stereo sound format. Bitstream and multichannel sound formats such as Dolby Digital cannot be decoded by this unit.
- Activate the HDMI CEC control on your TV. Depending on the manufacturer, this is also called Anynet+, Bravialink, EasyLink, Simplink, or VieraLink.
- Then connect the HDMI connector on the VMA00102 to the HDMI ARC connector on your TV. Be sure to use a fully connected 19+1 HDMI cable, type HDMI Highspeed with Ethernet and Audio-Re-turn-Channel – HEAC” or HDMI Premium”.
- Then connect the VMA00102 to a free USB socket on your TV or other device using the USB cable supplied. This USB cable will provide power to the HDMI ARC adapter.
- Connect your audio device to the 3.5 mm jack or use the RCA jacks for connection.
- On most TVs, the internal speakers are switched off when the adapter is active (green LED is lit).
- On some TVs you have to switch the desired audio output to HD-MI-ARC. It takes a few seconds until the connection is established.
- Adjust the volume as usual with the TV remote control to increase or decrease volume. The volume display on the TV will change from the usual appearance and will only show louder / softer instead of absolute values.
- HDMI-ARC stands for “High Definition Multimedia Interface Audio Return Channel”- the audio signal is transmitted in the opposite direction to the video signal

In case of prolonged non-use or malfunction, please disconnect the USB cable.
Service
An inspection of the device by qualified personnel is necessary in the following cases. -
Objects or liquids have entered the device.

The unit does not operate normally or the performance has changed.

The unit has been dropped or the housing is damaged. Unplug the USB cable and stop using the unit. Do not attempt to repair or open the unit yourself. Contact trained service personnel or contact the seller or FeinTech, for example, by e-mail at service@feintech.eu
